I got there to return a vehicle at 6:50p for a 7:00p return. The lights were off and the doors where locked but there were two employees at the register. I knocked and they looked but did not come to the door but instead kept working at the register. They waited till 7:00 on the head, after I knocked on the window and door to call me and tell me to put the key in the Dropbox and check the vehicle on online. I'm sure this was done to charge me additional fees. I will dispute this transaction. The service when I checked in was horrible as well. I will never rent a vehicle from this location again and I will discourage others as well.KAYIN J.

Gerald and Kashena were so helpful and knowledgeable!! They really helped me. This location had the trucks I needed and it was easy to check them out and return them here (there was a big lot for maneuvering around). U-haul in general was helpful when my house didn't close as planned and I had to extend my 3 trucks over the weekend. I was nervous about renting the trucks and managing my move but honestly it went well. I did have one 10' truck not restart after gassing up for return but someone came within the hour and got it started again. I recommend this location and applaud the staff.KATHLEEN F.

I have filed a complaint and requested reimbursement for the entire charge for the rental of the 6x12 trailer because we were routed to 2 different WRONG drop off locations. Wrong because they were closed or abandoned. We had to search ourselves to find an open and receiving drop off because the customer service number and internet site was so poor. Having to call the customer service number and wait for over a 1/2 hour each time to get someone to answer only to be told to do a "new drop off" online at uhaul/share when we couldn't get internet service was infuriating. The customer service call line service was HORRIBLE!!! It took us over 3 hours to finally drop off (pouring rain the entire time. We found a drop off location ourselves...driving around looking for a U Haul open business. Once we dropped off the trailer we were charged a late drop off fee. We were told we would be refunded that late drop off fee but it did not show up on our credit card. Customer Service line and ease using the online internet drop off service when you are in your car with poor service was a joke.Linda C.
I've already left this review many places but whoever Brittany is at this storage facility took it upon herself to replace the lock I bought FROM YOU ALL to replace with a disc lock so it would be "more secure". Upon adding this lock to my unit, she lost the key. We were there for over 2 hours on my move out day while the staff in store looked for the key because Brittany wasn't even there. They never found it. It had to be drilled into to open, and 2 hours of the limited time on my rental truck were wasted because she did something I did not ask for, and the disc lock was not even any more secure. rented box truck from you guys cuz you didn't have a regular size pickup had it for a month and 2 days then the U-Haul got stolen from me with my equipment you already took out over a thousand for four weeks that I had had it then you want to charge me additional 2 000 $more and you fucks cannot contact me when y'all went to go pick up the U-Haul truck to make sure there was no other personal items in there never got a phone call from you fucking ignorant fucks never got a confirmation until I had to call you all to fucking find out what was going on nobody contacted me at all then you send me a fucking bill for 2 000 $some dollars you want me to pay after you have gotten 1 336,77 already from me and you have not yet still contacted me about my insurance that I had on the truck with all my fucking material and my shit and my tools and my wallet and my money was stolen and you fucks can't even contact me to get me situated on that so fuck you you haul I would like to sue the fuck out of you and I hope I'm going to give you a bad review as many times as I Larry Donald Moon II hasmultiple times rented vehicles and trucks from U-Haul never had an issue now I have one issue and y'all want to fuck me don't worry about it you'll be hearing from my lawyers.PS poor ass customer fucking service at that location everybody is fucking stupid and dumb and has no fucking idea what they're doing.LARRY M.

Make sure the rental is ready at the original location. I have to be transferred to a different location to pickup my equipment. I am still waiting to hear back from corporate about my 50$ credit towards this rental. I was instructed by your employee to reach out for this credit. I also read this on the rental page if your rental isn't ready when promised they're will be a 50$ refund/credit . I rent these haulers 2-3 times a month. Not allow someone to reserve & pay for a truck at one location, only to find out the day of pick up, that the truck isn't available at location where it was reserved. It causes delays and confusion, which leads me to wonder why do an early reservation if you're going to be sent to a different location than reserved.Teyonna M.

The representatives behind the counter should be experts and make the right recommendation. Probably with asking where you are moving to and from. I feel I was over charged and had to drive defective equipment 2 hours out of the way. My vehicle smelled like an ashtray and had several issues with the radio and driver mirror was shaking excessively while making noise the whole trip. Also The vehicle required roadside assistance and extended my move by four hours which meant I had to work all day and then drive the equipment back.Chris S.

The trk was clean but runs rough, may need maintenance done. The rep was not the most skilled (at checkout). I also didn't think it was good business to not get notice when the reservation was made that a deposit would be added. What if I only had the amount for the rental available? Effective equipment management: I was â€œupgradedâ€ to a much longer truck than I requested. It was stressful to drive, cost a fortune in gas, and was 2 x bigger than I need for my things. I found out later the fender was left down on my auto transport by the UHaul rep who set it up. There were no dollys available even though I had requested one.JOSEPHINE C.

You need to put a bell/buzzer at the "return station". I sat there in my truck as instructed for 15-20 minutes not knowing whether they even knew if I was there. Finally, I walked into the counter and found both agents helping other customers and they asked me to return to my truck and one of them would come ASAP. The woman who came was very through and apologized for the long wait with no explanation as to why? She checked me out in less than 10 minutes and I was finished.MARK Y.

I would not recommend going to the Columbia location. The girl that checked us in not only acted as if she did not care for her job but she got into the truck and couldn't drive it. She ended up backing into another piece of U-Haul equipment hopping out of the truck and laughing about it. I caught it on camera. She also blatantly lied to our face and told us the truck had been cleaned and sanitized and then we found an ashtray full of cigarettes in the truck and we are not even smokers. After that the U-Haul actually had a leak in it so after driving 22 hours and it being late at night we realized that a lot of our stuff was water damaged. At this point no one has made anything right for us in fact they actually told us that the insurance does not cover water damage. They told us the claim will be denied and that we still have to try to reach out to U-Haul to go ahead and arrange something. Well it's been three days since I reported this and no one has done a single thing about it. They also gave us the truck with 1/4 tank of gas in it and we returned it was 3/4 full because how are we gonna take gas out of it? We weren't even compensated for that. The customer service representative from U-Haul told us when dropping the truck off to ask for them to correct this which the guy where we dropped it off was great he actually admitted that there was a leak in the truck and he could visibly see it. He also stated that he was going to take the pictures that U-Haul would want to see not just the pictures that I took. The only thing that he told me that didn't happen so far is that someone would be reaching out to me. He told me that they were not honest with me about the truck And that it was not my fault. So my suggestion to anybody is if you're renting a truck definitely search around and make sure you get inside the truck and check it for any type of water damage and make sure you thoroughly ask questions about what the insurance covers and make sure verify that that vehicle is clean whether you are a smoker or not.WHITNEY C.

The Male Manager was very rude, The two rude occasions that I experience his rude behavior. The first time I came to the campus I park in the wrong park he went in my car and blew my horn and said you can't park here. I told him I agree with him. I also told him you don't touch my Possessions, he said I could have got your car toll away. I said he could have gone inside and announce the car! I was tired but his sign didn't jump out to me! He said a few more rude statements and wake away!!! I also had another run in with him! This particular time I was running like 30 minutes late with the truck I was supposed to bring the truck back 12 o'clock and I brought it back 1230 the mail manager kept on calling and calling telling me to bring the truck back after I have already told him what was going on and what I had it what I had to do when I got there he already cash me out I was wanting to put it on cash! He finished My account while I was gone I had no time to get it through to tell him that I wanted to pay cash and that on the car he charge me I don't know what he charge me I did not get a receipt because I was wondering why did he do you know this is so fast. I was taking a while to get out the car and make sure my position is gone when I got to the front Dess he said you're done you're ready to go and I did not tell him he could've waited until I got an answer but he cash me out so fast it was just like he just wanted me to leave and he was just really rude I just didn't like the fact everyone else was very nice and very other than that moment all the other staff was very kind and very nice I had a very good experience with the other staff but the manager was really rude he has a very nice team but his attitude stinksRochelle R.
