I'm on my second attempt at trying to move items into my unit and not being able to causing me to have to leave my items on a trailer until the morning. The first time I came after 10 pm not be aware or told about the 24 hour access option. I then came that next morning to finally put my items inside and when done I went to the front desk to add the 24 hour package onto my contract. And now here comes my 2nd load of yesterday. I came after 10 without any worries because I knew I had just added the 24 hour access that I was told was gonna be an extra $10 on top of the bill. And when I typed the same code in my access was denied once again. I called the uhaul help line and was informed that the package was never added when I was told that it was that morning. So I had to hold on and extend my truck rental once again because of this inconvenience.

Thurman M.The truck had a terrible ride with constant back and forth jarring whenever I accelerated. Going through the mountains I was fully loaded with a 26' truck and pulling a car behind. Even so I could not get the truck over 40 mph on any incline. The pickup location gave me 30 pads instead of the 50 I requested. They wrote down the mileage wrong (500 miles LESS than the truck had) and told me it had 3/4 tank when it only had 1/2 tank. They did not show me how to turn off the hauling option when the truck was empty, nor did they offer any assistance when I called to tell them the gas was incorrect. The overall ride was horrendous. The seat on that truck felt like the cushion was slanted downward toward the back rest so after our 18 hr drive my entire body hurt. With constant jarring,shaking and struggling this "truck" sure did not "Drive like a van" or "Haul like a truck"!! No one showed me how to use the trailer, so I had no clue about the wheel fenders dropping down, which made moving the car difficult. I will NEVER, EVER use U-Haul for any type of moving ever again.

John P.not sure where put this information, but my overall experience was horrible. Customer service cancelled my truck without my permission or notice and I spent several hours on the phone trying to rectify the situation while I was already in the location to pick up the truck. I was placed on long holds, transferred and then hung up on. After 3 hours and angry conversation it was fixed, but I had to pick up at another location that did not have the dolly I reserved. I heard the manager on the phone tell the girl helping me if I was "bitching and complaining" to rectify it. Then I was charged for blankets I did not order or receive after I was told it would be taken off my bill.

Second we didn't book for the dentsville location we book for the sandhills for a reason. So we are very upset with uhaul as this makes it a third time issues have been had with U-Haul. We are looking into other options for our next rental and considering paying more just to have a better experience.

jenerica D.i had ordered a 10 foot van. the day before pickup im told the van i ordered from is no longer available at olace of oickup. i have to travel further away to get a 15 foot truck at this location. i now had to uber vs walk/run to. i get you gave me a bigger tricksy no additional cost but im sure there was a bigger cost in gas between each truck. i ended up only going 600 miles and if the 15 foot truck got 15 mikes per gallon and 10 foot got 19 miles per gallon that is a 37 dollar dufferevce and add the uber ride which was 20 this cost me 57 more.

Autum W.I was told I needed a South Carolina drivers license That should have been stated when I reserved the van. Not when I get there and am told I would not be able to rent the van. My NY state drivers license was uploaded when I reserved the van. Something could have been flagged then as well Nowhere in the store does it state I need a instate license. I also am a commercial driver with a class A license which is valid and considered a valid license in every state. The check engine light was on as well as the tire pressure. The inconvenience of this is ridiculous. I have rented various equipment from uhaul from various states and have never heard this. I even spoke to three different customer service representatives who have filed a CAF and they haven't heard anything saying you need a local drivers license either.

ROBERT H. | Premières impressionsAlthough the staff is professional and somewhat helpful, I did encounter a very bad communication experience with the manager more than a month ago involving an automatic payment setup by someone in his staff without my approval for my most recent storage room I rented. The way I found out about the payment was seeing it pending in my checking account. This could have caused me a financial hardship had I viewed my bank account at a later time. The manager did eventually remove the automatic payment setup in the system but did not provide the reason why it was setup because he needed to speak with his staff for more details. He informed me that he would followup with an email, but I never received the email. Unfortunately, I left the store still feeling very frustrated because of the lack of empathy or concern I felt the manager displayed nor did he offer any other solutions for the inconvenience subjected upon me from an error committed by a customer service representative in his staff. On another communication issue with his staff, I asked one of the CSRs when a late fee is applied for our storage rooms and was told "a few days" instead informing the exact number of days. Instead, I found out the number of days by a very professional, helpful, and friendly CSR through the 800 number in the U-Haul app. As for cleanliness in the storage rooms, my last storage I rented, the floor was swept but visually very dirty. Other than the issues I've provided, I haven't encountered any other problems with the store. Inside the store, the exterior to include the parking lot are always very clean. The trucks I've rented from there are very clean and in great condition, and the overall staff is very professional and helpful.

Upon adding this lock to my unit, she lost the key. We were there for over 2 hours on my move out day while the staff in store looked for the key because Brittany wasn't even there. They never found it. It had to be drilled into to open, and 2 hours of the limited time on my rental truck were wasted because she did something I did not ask for, and the disc lock was not even any more secure. Not to mention, she was trying to charge me for this new lock I did not ask for.

Friendly helpful staff. only two issues. first issue was I was given a storage space that already had a lock on it, but the friendly staff quickly resolved that issue by assigning me another storage space of size. Very small inconvenience but shows poor record keeping. I rented two storage spaces, 1 didn't have the provided padlock in it. I had an extra padlock so that worked itself out. There is no lighting at the non-climate controlled area when I had to unload at night, it maybe due to ongoing store renovation construction activities at the time.
