This is a very large UHAUL operation in central Cincinnati, that seems to be managed very well. No hesitation in recommending this location on Dalton Avenue.

The first UHaul site were I did all my prework/precheckin at 2320 Gilbert Ave told me when I showed up for my time slot they did not have the rental equipment I reserved, how could I not be told this before I showed up, what did I do all the pre work for, you had my email and cell phone but NO ONE could contact and tell me they did'nt have the equipment????? At the second site the piece of equipment I was renting half the lights did not work so luckily there was a different trailer I could use so the switched me to that one, the young lady personnel was very nice & helpful and I was able to make the different trailer work for me.

The uhaul we received had a partially broken ramp... we had a ton of trouble getting the ramp up and down. Almost as if someone tried to drive off with it still down. We had to call the number for help and they were promptly going to send us someone to assist so that was nice. Hopefully this is something reps check before giving out future trucks!

The only small complaint I also mentioned in a prior review, was to let customers know to purchase a lock for the unit. I had to wait in line again to purchase the lock. Otherwise everyone at this location was very nice, patient (it has been VERY busy each time I have been in) and helpful!

I had a picture frame that was over 20 years old and made it all what was from Florida to Ohio with no problems. And I know this because I checked my u box days before it was delivered to my residence and when it got to me my box was all shifted around and my frame was broken. The frame was secure and wrapped in the furniture pads so I just don't understand. So I left the broken frame in the U box.

I wish I would've known we needed to take pictures of the inside of the vehicle BEFORE I dropped off the keys. I did take pictures on my phone but didn't realize they had to be live pictures while doing the check-in procedure.

I want a refund! The gas hand was faulty, the check engine and oil change light was on, it smelled like death and dogs, there was dog hair all over the seats, we had dog hair on our clothes, I had to wash my hair and still couldn't get rid of the smell and it drove horribly! I want a complete refund!

There were literally no trucks available even though I reserved one a week in advance for my move. There were about 5 other individuals in my one hour of being there all experiencing the exact same thing. Those poor employees got yelled at all day because you as a company overbooked your trucks. Maybe y'all should create a better system for reservations so your customers can actually utilize your services. Especially since the employees said this happens every year.

This location is clearly short staffed. At one point there were 15+ customers waiting. I will say the staff were all very friendly and deserve recognition for that, especially on a very busy college move in weekend. One thing I would suggest, is that when renting a storage unit, to remind the customer to purchase a lock. I had never rented before and wasn't aware.

Pest control is bad I had all my stuff wrapped up tightly secured next morning my storage unit was full of roaches crawling everywhere I ain't seen roaches in 20 years I was really disappointed,

The location is easily accessible, easy to find, and always has lots of equipment. However, the site was extremely short-staffed and as a result it took a long time for customers to conduct their rental business. In addition, the site computer system assigned the wrong vehicle - mismatching keys to my contract - which was very difficult to correct. And the U-Haul app did not work at all on returning the vehicle, so the very short-handed team had to check-ion my rental vehicle, more than 30 minutes after I returned it. Fortunately, this was still within my rental contract period and I was not charged an extra day. This site really needs more staff.

The day after returning a uhaul van, I was emailed that I had not dropped the van off. So, I had to call back to uhaul in the middle of moving and have them confirm the key was there.

Better Employee s, I told the guy where I wanted to dropped, and he put different city. I called the customer service stay 47 minutes to solve the issue but no body helped me. The man from the place called to diferente number and an other person helped me.

I had three pods shipped from California to Cincinnati. Not only did they arrive three days later than promised in Cincinnati, but when they were supposed to be delivered to my house on 7/13, I called to see where they were on that day and was told by a very rude lady in scheduling that the truck was broken and I wasn't getting my boxes. I asked when I would get them she said “maybe next week”. Asked what my options were and she replied “I don't think you have any”. (Which I knew was a lie). Asked if I could get my delivery fee refunded, it had been charged to my acct the 12th, she said no they don't do refunds. I asked if I could just get into my pod to get my bed out and she said “I don't know you'll have to call the actual place”. It was by far the worst customer service I've ever ever experienced. ROB at the dalton location was the best person I worked with. I called at 4 pm Wednesday the 13th to see if I could get my stuff. He went so so out of his way to help me hook up one of my pods to a trailer so I could take it home myself. 2 days later he called me to check on it and ask when he can bring out another one of my pods to take home. He took such great care of us and went out of his way. He apologized many times on behalf of the horrible lady in scheduling. I recommend she gets trained better but I would love ROB at the dalton location to get a lot of praise and recognition. He absolutely turned my day around. Our uhaul contract was breached several times from uhaul, which is terrible after spending around $5000 on services. Huge disappointment. But I gave good ratings because of rob. I may never use uhaul again but if I do I'll make sure rob is involved.

We received great customer service from Robert. He was friendly, personal and efficient. The Ubox arrived early and all contents were intact. Our only issue was with the 15' truck we rented. Roaches!! A few of them hitched a ride on our boxes and when I mentioned it to the worker when we returned the truck he said “oh ya, we have to order more roach bombs.” Buyer Beware - the trucks aren't sanitized after each use.

The young ladies that worked this particulate day (Sunday) were absolutely amazing! It was a very sensitive time for my family since we were moving out of our family house before auctioning. There are not enough carts at the entrance. I waited 15 minutes for a customer to return a matress cart so I could move into my unit. I paid too much money for my unit to be inconvenienced like that. Please hire someone to make certain carts are available at all hours of operation. Merci.

Are you guys planning on Saleling the Building in the Near Future? It's a lot getting use to a new facility, I'm not there yet but do see some pluses so I'm not complaining just still trying to process. At least it's still downtown and in the hood

The guy who helped me yesterday was amazing. Moving for me this time was very stressful and had me kinda on edge. Although I wasn't having a good morning he was patient with me. By the time I left I was at ease. Not only because he listened to me vent and be a lil crazy but not once did he judge me or was he rude. I think I was even smiling. Lol sorry I can't remember his name but he made my day

A lot of my electronic's where damaged and I didn't appreciate my lock being cut off and replaced! I also had other items that was not in my storage!! I don't know what's going on but now I got to replace everything. I have no stereo and smart tv. I had insurance!!!

I left because manager Greg cut my lock off (and cut the locks off other units) without notice or even a phone call, allegedly because we did not have right kind of lock. Not even a phone call to let me know. Without having notice that , I showed up with a large load with no way to put it in my unit. And when I called to complain and ask to be let in my unit, Greg cussed me out, dropping the F bomb. He also treats his staff poorly. I would never recommend this location.

The person working was incredibly helpful, unfortunately, the facility was a mess. I think they are probably understaffed. They couldn't find my reservation, then they did, but there were no storage units left of the size that I had reserved. Finally, we got a unit, but when we went to open it up, it was already taken. After that, we got a room, but there was no lock on the room. We put our own lock on, but moments earlier they expressed concern about our type of lock that someone could easily cut it off. They told us to call back this morning, but no one is available on the phone. They have security cameras set up, but I doubt there's anyone available to watch them. There are under staffed, very clearly and there is too much to do for only 2 people.

I called this facility prior to going in person to explain the situation, the person who answered seemed to be clueless to the "online move in experience" that the website refers to when you sign up. When my brother went to the facility, he stated that he gave them the confirmation # to access my reservation/online move in experience. While completing this move in he stated the staff attempted to sell him a higher monthly rate, a lock, and the insurance. He showed them the lock he had (previous U-Haul lock), he attempted to show them the PDF of my insurance, and he also showed them that the confirmation reflecting the monthly rate along with the free month given. My brother got me moved in. I checked my bank account a few days later. I was charged $68+ I called the facility to resolve the situation and even asked to speak with the person noted (Gary) who was supposed to resolve any issues. Gary explained that he felt my brother had an attitude and expected his staff to know everything from the confirmation/receipt I sent him in PDF form. I let him talk about everything he felt, we as consumers had done wrong. When I attempted to ask questions according to the "virtual move in process" I'd read about, ask for confirmation of my contract, and clear up any misunderstanding he repeatedly interrupted me to tell me how unpleasant my brother was to him and his staff. Without allowing me to ask any questions or understand what we could do to resolve my current issues. I still never received an electronic copy of my contract or access. Nor have I received a confirmation that the $68+ charge was credited back to my account. Instead I was interrupted, phone disconnected, and left feeling confused. This is quite possibly the WORST U-haul experience I have ever had after several interactions, different types of services/products, several locations.
