U-haul sent a letter telling me the rent was going up, but if I came in and paid the old amount before the due date each month, U-haul would charge the old amount. While my husband and I were waiting the assistant manager called U-haul storage internal customer service, who verified that was true. My husband and I went in the end of November, to pay for the month of December early. When she tried to access my account, it would not allow my old payment amount. She called the same U-haul storage business segment and was told that the old price was only extended for as long as the months that were paid. That was not what she was told the month before. She was in the process of trying to find out more information. The manager stepped in and said that there was nothing that could be done. This is while the assistant manager was still on the phone. We explained what had happened and felt that U-haul should support what I was told when I got the letter. He asked, in a snide way, what made me special that I should pay the old amount. He said that he's been there for 10 years. By this time he was yelling. He told the assistant manager to go to the office. I was a v.p. and general manager of 3 bank offices, at the same time and never treated any customer like that, nor would I allow an employee to do so. I used to think U-haul was a reputable company, not anymore. I've moved to a different company. The manager has been there too long. He thinks he's a hammer and everyone else is a nail. How do you resolve anything with a person who doesn't even listen, thinks he has the right to yell and make snide remarks in public. Will never rent a U-Haul from this location again. Worse experience ever. The guy at the front desk told me the truck he was giving me had no gas and if I put gas I'd get a $40 credit. I ended up putting $70 worth of gas just to get to a quarter tank!! The truck has ZERO gas which is super dangerous. As I was finishing up moving and was ready to head to my new home, the trucks battery died and I had to jump start the truck multiple times. I was calling and calling the location that I got the truck from and there was no answer, I called at least 15 times. Not to mention the emergency break didn't even work, it was jammed. This just shows how well they maitanace their trucks and clearly do not care if their customers get stranded with no gas and a dead battery.Alina G.

Site was well staged with available vehicles. I had no issue in obtaining a truck for a week. Vehicle was clean, comfortable, less than a year old and well kept. The team was great to work with on what were arguably some pretty stressful days. They were very helpful and actually helped us solve some problems that we didn't think they could. They set the bar very high for any future storage rental companies.christina W. | Expérience générale
1- Reservation system: if a unit is not available at the chosen site, the system uses the next location but this is not very clearly displayed. The same happens with the date. Rather than selecting for the user, the user should actively select the new date and location, thus realizing about the change. This was very confusing. 2- Additional items: the system prompts the user to add more things, but even though I declined them, the system showed the price as if I had taken them, thus very misleading. 3- Inspection: I received an email to drop by and get my car inspected, which took 5 min. I could have done this on the day of the pick-up instead of losing time on a prior date. 4- Cancelation: due to #1, I ended up double booking a trailer but only one showed in the system. Either way, there is no option to cancel online. Highly desired! 5- Customer service: due to #1 and 4 l had to cancel one of the bookings and both the chat and phone options had an excessive wait time. 6- Check-in: the staff was very friendly (both in person and on the phone) but both had an excessively long wait time.Erica L.

Not sure what you could do to improve, but Greag was very outgoing and very friendly. He made me feel that as a customer I mattered. I've rented many uhaul over the years from that location and he was by far the best I've dealt with. Most were rude and I felt like a burden. He cared about me and the equipment he was renting. Everything was great checking the trailer out. On the return, I asked a question on some prices of moving blankets and the guy was a grumpy old man. Because of his attitude, I went to Home Depot and got the stuff I needed. It truly would have been easier to buy it at U-Haul but he turned me off with his attitude as if I was putting him out.Michael C.

All employees working at this location on 2022/10/13 were terrific. Everyone was working hard but was super friendly and helpful. The hitch install was done while I waited, and the technician did a good job. Thanks, Dublin UHaulSHANE P.
The average time for this hitch instalation was 30 minutes according to the manufacturer as mentioned in the instalation instruction. The rate was 120/h for instalation and when I called uhaul they said 1,6h and 198$ as an estimated time/cost. I said it shouldn't take that long and they said this is just an estimate and they charge you based on whatever time it takes them to install. At the location it took them less than one hour to install it but the store manager still charged me 198$ saying that is a flat rate, which was a lie. And when I refused, he was rude to me. This is not an acceptable way to treat your customers and lies are never a good way to run a business.Mostafa T.

I recently purchased a 5x5 unit, which is located inside a building. The website states that I could have access to it until 10pm Mon-Sun. I tried to drop off some expensive items at 8:30pm on my way to catch a flight home for Christmas. When I arrived, the door to the building where my unit is located was locked. The office was closed. The hours posted for the holiday season dont go into effect until tomorrow. I called customer service to see if someone could unlock the building where my unit was located. I was told they would put me on hold but, instead was disconnected. I called back. The second person told me it's the company's policy that indoor units can only be accessed during office hours. That wasn't the product I purchased. The customer service representative told me it sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm Active Military and only in the area for a short while. I only purchased use of this unit for the time I would be home for the holidays and not in the area. I'm now out $100 and forced to leave thousands of dollars of equipment in my vehicle at an airport parking lot instead of being able to utilize the storage unit I purchased. If the access hours are different for various storage units, that needs to be disclosed before purchase. I paid extra to have the peace of mind of using a well known company vs a smaller, local company to avoid such issues. The lack of information about what I actually purchased and poor customer service have left me very dissatisfied.John C. | Online Move In

Our trailer got ants - the staff didn't know if pest control was used ever or when the last time was. Debris like nails and other construction material were everywhere. Two issues where I had to change to a different storage unit when the one I reserved was overrun by ants. When the employee made the change she accidentally moved me out of my other storage unit. The storage unit was just what i needed! It served the purpose for a safe contained space while i needed it. Staff were almost always there at the counter to help customers, which is to say I rarely had to wait for service. When I did have to wait for a staff person to return to the counter, it usually wasn't for very long. The younger staff are not friendly, but they do their job. I would have rated this 5 stars but wasn't informed of how to properly move out of my unit. I told the Uhaul employee in person that I was moving out of my storage unit on the 7th when I rented a truck to do so. I asked if he could cancel my reservation of the unit and if I needed to do anything else. I was told no. The next day my bank account was charged for the unit and I had to submit a cancellation through the website. I wasn't told that I would need to take further steps else be charged for the unit and so I am very unhappy and will be filling a claim with my bank for the return of my $114.Tiffany L. | Expérience générale

Unit was empty in two days DUE TO THIS LOCATION NOT HAVING THE ACCESS HOURS THEY HAD WHEN WE MOVED IN!! I rented a cargo trailer that was recommended, but ended up being too small. So had to order another trailer last night at 7pm. I had to leave my UHaul out on the street when the store closed, to hook up another trailer. Rented a 10x10, but you all close access to the gates and storage too early (7pm), so I had to rent at Oublic Storage (who has access until 9pm). Brought the open air trailer back at 10pm (3 hours later), but couldn't easy return it, as the clerk apparently never checked the unit in. Then I had to wait on the phone in a woman who was trying to fix it. I had to send pics. Then I had to buy a hydraulic jack so I could lift my full cargo trailer back on my truck at 11pm.Matt S. | Premières impressions

Overall, this experience was great in theory, but poor in execution. Our unit was supposed to be ready to go with a lock inside, but when we arrived, the unit had a padlock on it. We had to drive back out the entrance and go inside the store (which we were trying to avoid due to COVID) to finally track down someone who could come unlock it. This was after I'd tried calling only to have the line hang up. The guy unlocked the unit while we were still unloading stuff so we didn't get a chance to make sure there was a lock inside before he took off. Sure enough, there wasn't a lock, so we had to make a second trip back up to the front and into the store, where this time there was a long line of people (again, trying to socially distance here), to ask for the lock. All in all, I can't complain too much - it was free with the truck rental. But for something that was advertised as effortless, this took a ton of time and social interaction we just weren't prepared for.R Harris G. | Online Move In
Greg Ordonez was absolutely wonderful. He was very helpful from the very beginning to the very end. He got me two storage units right away when I needed storage. He was very helpful when the movers I hired, Uhaul-IHaul, screwed me over. I can't say enough good things about Greg's service, he is very efficient and extremely caring especially with the pandemic that we are going through. We need more workers like him. I reserved a 10x20 unit and a 10x10 unit. I was delayed in my return of the 26' Truck and checking into the storage unit due to protest. I called the service center and sent messages daily to inform them of my progress and when I expected to arrive to the storage unit. When I did arrive and attempted to check into the storage unit, I was told I had no reservation and they didn't even have a unit in that size available for me. I was able to pull up my emails showing my reservations, but it didn't matter because they had already rented it out. I chose this storage location because I had 12' kayaks with me, and I needed the 20' storage unit. The store did offer me 2 10x10 units instead. But it was less than ideal and I had to purchase a 3rd unit as well because I had to store my kayaks in the unit at a less than ideal angle do to the small size of the unit. I plan on contacting customer service at a soon and discussing the cost of a 3 10x10 units vs the cost of a 10x20 unit. The people working in the store were courteous and helpful, and I don't think that it was there fault. I'm not sure where the issue was, but it made it an extremely unpleasant experience. I had reserved a unit of my liking, come to find out they didn't had my reservation. I also rented a truck but they didn't have it when I arrived. ( they ended up giving me a bigger one at same rate) but the fact that I had to wait when I had done the online reservation plus I had to go home and try to find a unit that I could used to no success I ended up renting one there indoors which made my moved a lot harder plus delayed my whole day.jose a. | Premières impressions
