This has probably been my worst experience with any truck rental company. I know who not to chose now. First of all I rented a 10ft truck with auto transport at a location different than where I ended up having to pick it up. I chose the original location specifically to accommodate everyone involved in the moving process. Received a confirmation voicemail stating that the truck and auto transport were ready for me to pick up at the different location much further away and couldn't be transported to my preferred location. Wouldn't say thats good business. Arrived at the rental location to find out they don't have the auto transport that I requested 4 days before I needed it and the general manager has nothing to say about it. Didn't apologize or anything. Luckily they had a tow dolly, however I chose the auto transport knowing that it would provide better protection/wear and tear for the vehicle in tow. 20 minutes into the drive the tire service monitor system kicks on so we call for maintenance. Customer service tells us where to go and that someone would arrive within 30 minutes. 45 minutes goes by only to find out the service tech was in the building and never called to let us know he was there. All he did was fill the tires up which didn't work because it came on again 30 more minutes down the road. Huge waste of time. Gets worse. Headlights on the truck were moving all over the place every time we hit a bump providing terrible lighting for us at night. What a huge disappointment for a truck rental. If I don't get refunded for this rental, I will be sure to let friends and family know what kind of service you get with U-Haul. So pissed off.

I rented a 5x8 covered trailer. While the rental location checked the brake lights and blinkers, they did not check the night time running lights. I was about 1 hour and 100 miles into a seven hour trip, it had been dark for about thirty minutes, when I pulled over to refuel and noticed that none of the regular running lights were working. I had to complete the trip in the dark with no lights.

It is kind of hard to gage how much gas to put in the U-Haul. It would be easier if it would be set to like 1 gallon for every 7 miles estimated or something similar. The only complaint I have about the specific location is the mud by the U-Haul parked location. That's being nit picky though. I thought it was great overall.

I really got nailed on the cost. I want to point out that I've always gotten good service from all the locations I've dealt with. And Ringgold Road in Chattanooga has the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen!

A clearer understanding of what the rental time options are (24 hours vs a few hours) and what the consequences are to keeping a vehicle past the time if you choose the hour option. I was told I would be charged an extra day if it came in after hours but if I just chose the 24 hours, there would be no additional charge and the price was the same!. This should be clear. That's an easy explanation that I was not given until some voices were raised. It could have been avoided easily.

Make your employee checking in customers wear a mask while there is a global COVID-19 pandemic going on. The check-in process took over 20 minutes yet I had already done it on-line. I was repeatedly ask questions that I had already answered on-line then she wanted me to pay when I had already paid on-line. It was a one-way rental but turning the truck in at the U-Haul location of my choice (5315 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 8122) wasn't an option.

This location needs to be closed. When I got to the location the gentleman that was trying to process storage unit did not know how to process the transaction in the computer and took forever and never could actually process the transaction. He let me know that they were closing in an hour and I did not have time to unload my truck in the storage unit. I may have had time had he been able to process the transaction properly. Then when we got back to the storage area which looks horrible by the way,the space was too small. I have to wind up going down the street to Public Storage and renting a space from them. He had too many people to wait on by himself at the end of the day and he was clearly frustrated. But when I asked him to help me get my car off of the car dolly he acted like you didn't want to do it you keep talking about how many other customers he had as if I wasn't one of them. Then when I finally returned the truck on the 4th a very rude woman waiting on me and asked me to please sweep out the inside of the U-Haul. The only thing that was on the inside of the U-Haul was one piece of cotton and one feather and I have never in my life been asked to clean out a U-Haul when I dropped it off. She was so rude and then she told me that if I didn't clean it out it would be a $25 fee. Now look on my Kik account I see another $21 and some change that has been deducted from my bank account and I don't know what that is for but that needs to be immediately put back onto my banking account. Overall I think this was the worst experience I have ever had was to U-Haul stores in my life and I have rented lots of U-Hauls.

The check in time was show and the attendant couldn't access my reservation on line. All things considered, it easy. We brought the truck back after closing but they have a slot for keys. They sent me a receipt by email. It was a pleasant experience. Thanks U-haul!

Check your gas cap! I had my truck parked at an angle for loading. The gas cap was loose and I lost about a quarter tank before my neighbor alerted me to gas coming out around the cap. The fellas at the office were very understanding and accommodating about the situation. The truck was clean and drove just fine. Overall, I had a good experience with UHaul for my move and if I ever need a moving truck again, I will be back.

The trailer was very dirty, we were charged for 80 miles when we barely went over 50, were charged an environmental fee, but we're never told about that. Overall it was a terrible experience. The general manager didn't even acknowledge us at first.

Paid for 6 blankets. Fid not get any. Reserved with furniture dolly. Did not get one. After using this location over 15 times. Theg now had to have a second phone number n would not rent untill I gave him one

When I returned the trailer , the employee did not close my contract and I got charged for 3 more days for which they still need to give me a credit for 1 more day. This has caused me to have to return twice to straighten this out. I know mistakes happen, but hopefully it can be straightened out with 1 trip and not two.

The representative at pick up needs to learn some customer service manners. In stead of asking who can we contact in an emergency, he asked "who else lives with you"? To which I replied my family. Then he said give me someone's name. I was just renting a trailer for a day, round trip to the same location. Then he was horrible giving directions to "help back up". I got out of my car, saw where the trailer was and was able to back up to the trailer connector without issues. If I need to rent again it will not be from this location.

The truck smelled like beer and smoke. All uhaul trucks need to be smoke free. My husband tried everything and could not get mirrors to adjust. I could not see anything in mirrors my entire trip. We even stopped in rain to figure or find a button on switch to adjust. I could not back up without 2 people helping. I almost backed up on a truck that I could not find in either mirror. I also have never has to bring truck back to it original pickup. I have a uhaul store 3/4 of a mile from my house and I could have not paid 1/2 of what I did. But he made me pay an Xtra 18 miles. Then pay gas on top of .89 cents a mile. Why pay both. A >2 hour trip cost me over a $100.00. I was quoted 39 for truck plus mileage. How could it turn into a hundred bucks. I'm disappointed. When I rented the trailer I received an email to go online to complete my check in. The code sent to me did not work and when I requested another, it did not send me one. That may be the reason when I brought it back after hours, I could not finish my return on line.

Not only was I charged for the incorrect sized u-haul that I originally wanted so I was charged for a higher amount than I was expecting, but the one I received felt extremely dangerous. I didn't like the way it drove at all & the passengers side window was busted & would constantly sway back & forth while driving or making a turn. That's completely UNSAFE! Overall, I was very unsatisfied with my u-haul rental experience & will never be going back there again.

The manager was rude totally unprofessional. I was on hold for Approximately 47 1/2 minutes. I drove from my house to the U-Haul location still on low show the representative and let him see that I will still owe the manager comes in and ssus it's only one person. I had a horrible experience and I will never visit this location again and I will do word-of-mouth to advise anyone that I know who is affiliated with a never use this location again

The facility in Chattanooga Tennessee was very helpful management staff very helpful completely different from Paducah Kentucky. Please make sure you tell all your management staff anybody who uses the U-Haul Movers do not give out the prepaid code before service has been completed. Very bad situation for me when I arrived in Chattanooga very bad!

Clerk did not go over truck with me during pick up. She just pulled it to the front and said have a nice day. The gas tank was not on full. I drove 6 miles total and charged $6.50 for gas because it was that much below full. I did not use a gallon of gas therefore I did not fill it up as it was not on full when I got it but my picture meant nothing. I will demand the uhaul clerk do a complete check with me next time I rent.

Do not lie to customers about paying for extra mileage. Hire courteous representatives instead of rude ones who act as though the customer is lying. Don't send the customer miles out of the way for pick up and drop off without giving them extra miles for free.
