This whole experience has been unreal. No one from U Haul had any idea of what was going on. The only person was the employee at the pickup location, hen busted his rear to fix everything and get my u box storage unit. One person out of 10 is not goodMICHAEL H.

Ok. Get ready. We had ordered a 26ft, got called the day before our move the reserved vehicle had been placed in the shop, and no 26ft truck was available within 100 mi radius. If we wanted a 20ft truck, we could drive 40miles to East Mesa to get one. Apart from charming, that is about a 4,000lbs load difference. With no other option, we stuffed and loaded the 20ft 'possibly' to the MAX. Mind you, the people at the locations were always the best! Then, the agent at the van rental place (we had to pick up the auto transport elsewhere) told us our intended drop off (Covel Blv, Davis, CA) would we closed on Sundays, and transferred us to Tide Crt, Woodland. Unfortunately, the contract/reservation online didn't reflect that, so when we dropped it off after hours, we were charged an additional 20 $for overnight parking, because we couldn't do the online checkout thing, as that still had the drop off as Covel Blv, Davis. Again, the people were the best, the equipment A1, but the experience was 'dented' by whatever does dispatch behind the scenes. It could so easily have been perfect. Now, it wasn't. And forcing customers to load the equipment to the 'MAX' like we were forced to do is inviting disaster.Arne K.

Employees at uhaul were very nice. Kept everything on appointment time and helped me hook up and secure everything safely. I can't say enough good things about the lady manager, she was very polite and she works very hard. Company is lucky to have herWAYNE K.
the truck rental was just fine but I had very poor experience trying to open one of the three units I had rented on 7/1/21. I had employed three men through UHaul Movers and they were on time and very good. However, when we tried to get into the third unit, the key would not unlock the lock I was required to buy it from UHaul. I asked the Manager to please cut the lock off so the men I was paying by the hour could continue. I was told it was against UHaul policy to cut a lock off and there was nothing I could do. So, I took the 26' truck loaded only 2/3rds full to my new home so the men could unload it. and get on to their next job. I had several heated conversations with the Manager the next day and she told me I would have to pay a locksmith to remove the lock, rent another smaller truck and re-hire the unloading crew. I waws adamant that the lock was not my problem, they had sold it to me. Long story short, she did finally cut the lock off and I was able to get the moving helpers the next day to complete the move. Needless to say, this, was the most difficult move of my life and I have rented from UHaul in the past many times with no trouble. Never again!JACQUELINE SUE H.

Agent at the store was nice but he was alone and overwhelmed. He didnt know how to use his software and he was trying to talk us out of renting there, claiming there is month long writing list. He also said there are a lot of security issues there. He took a phone call and didnt even tell us where to go and just let us wander around until we figured it out. Unfortunately, the online staff are not familiar with the availability of rooms as they tried to help me with reservations. I thought I had reserved two 10x10 x10 and they were not available when I arrived. The man on sight, Lupe, did everything to help accommodate me and he finally worked it out. He was all alone with many customers all interrupting one another but Lupe did a great job in spite of them. Lupe deserves a raise and/or a promotion. Was unhappy, because when I called in to rent a truck, and get a Uhaul storage was told I got one month free for renting a truck,when I picked up the truck, again I was told I would get one month free. When I got to the storage, they told me no, they said I wasn't long distance driver, and I needed a certificate, so I was charged for the month, was very unhappy cause I was lied to, but anyways I needed the storage.no big deal, I'm goodmaria m. | Premières impressions

The 24/7 check in on the website is absolutely horrible. We followed the directions to log in but the "pick up my truck" button wasn't there. It took being on hold for 25 minutes and doing a live chat for the button to appear. But then the location was blocked which I probably did without thinks eons ago. After we figured that out and uploaded the picture and drivers license, 20 minutes later we were still waiting for approval. After all this, we lost an entire hour and the location was about to open. Kris saw us and she was amazing. She was able to get us checked in and give us our key. She said tons of people have trouble with the website. If you are going to have that option, invest in decent technology because its crap right now. I'm thankful Kris was able to help us.Cara R.

The bathroom was pretty dirty and didn't have any supplies. There was broken glass in front of a door other than that it was clean. Overall a Terrible experience from start to finish. I booked the Ubox and the morning of pickup the employee was not expecting me to come to pick it up. Took over 2 hours for him to find an empty ubox and get it loaded on a trailer. He struggled to use the computer and continued to show frustration. On numerous occasions explained to me that it was his last day and how happy he was about that... Re-assuring. Finally got back to the house to find out he forgot to give me any moving blankets. Fast forward to a few weeks later. My Ubox was due to arrive on 6/6. On 6/5 I decided to drive down to where my Ubox was at to ensure it would be ready for pickup on 6/6 (we had movers scheduled on 6/6). Arrived at the Kent site and waited an hour to get help. The gentlemen at Kent, Cory, said that I could not pick up the ubox on 6/5 as it was being transfered to a closer location. He confirmed that it was picked up and already in route to the other location and would be ready for pickup first thing 6/6. On 6/6 I showed up to the new location in Renton. I got there 15 min early and was helped by a gentlemen (didn't get his name). He couldn't locate the ubox and said it wasn't there. I told him I spent over an hour the previous day confirming the location. He emphasized that all I could do was call the 1800 number. When asked if he could do anything else to help me, he explained something about 3rd party and that "I'm going to continue about my day and not thing twice about this interaction..." I called the 1800 number and was helped by a super helpful Megan. She was on the call with me for over an hour and a half and eventually identified that my ubox was still in transit. She couldn't tell me when it would be delivered though. So I went home, sent home the movers and waited. I didn't get a call until 10a on 6/7. Unbelievably frustrating and I felt like no-one really cared about the customer experience (other than Megan). Terrible, would never recommend this service to anyone.David V.

Crap vehicle's battery went out twice. I did not complete my move and turned in my vehicle a day early yet I was charged for 2 days. The idiot behind the counter did not know what he was doing and was fumbling through the computer system "apparently" pretending he was refunding me for bringing the truck in a day early. I wanted compensation for time wasted and not being able to complete my move. The idiot behind the counter took my name and phone number down and stated that someone would call me in the morning after they looked into the occurrences of the night prior. It never happened and my card was charged for two days albeit I only had the vehicle less than 24 hours.MICHAEL P.

I moved my items to a Uhaul the same day and learned their climate controlled environment really was a joke and the hall had ac, but the unit was not climate controlled and was an oven with the walls and ceiling being aluminum. There was not a functioning light. My intuition told me to look for another Uhaul and I was referred to your location from a Uhaul in Gilbert. The same day I moved my belongings into the first Uhaul off of Lindsey and Main, I drove to your location and met with Lupe. Lupe was certain that there were not any available units, but saw how desperate I was to get my personal property out of a baking oven and into a true climate controlled environment. Lupe and Chris walked the entire structure and found one available unit. The black trim on the bottom of the door was stripped and the silver hinges were slightly broken, but I did not sweat that because I knew my items would be in a better facility at your location. I appreciated Lupe and Chris going over and beyond and physically walking the entire Uhaul facility to help me. I moved my stuff from Uhaul poorly ran to a Uhaul well ran, all in the same day. Lupe is a hard worker. I requested a bigger unit when one opens up as I understand Uhaul is adding additional units. I hope my reservation for that unit remains. I waited 20 minutes after numerous phone calls with the gals names on the door with no call back. 2 guys working all the doors locked at 530 pm . The store doesn't close till 7pm. They were off doing something else. After moving all day and I really didn't want to take the uhaul back to my place. I was super frustrated and tired. I still haven't received a call back.LAURA D.

Used Uhaul's online scheduling tool. Scheduled two weeks in advance for a Monday at 7 am and indicated I wanted to wait for my vehicle. When I showed up, no one to install hitch, no indication they had record of my appointment. Got a call the next day letting me know I had been rescheduled for 11 am on Wednesday and that I would need to leave my vehicle for an expected install time of 3 hours. There was a reason I scheduled early in the day and asked to wait for my vehicle. On top of it all, when my wife found a ride for her and our three kids to pick the vehicle up, no one was there to help. She could literally hear all the employees in a back office yucking it up while she was waiting. When someone did decide to help they canceled the transaction and caused even more delays. Glad to have the hitch installed, but Uhaul corporate and Uhaul franchisees need to get on the same page.BRIAN F.

This was such a great experience. I will recommend anyone I know that needs a hitch or Uhaul truck/trailer to this location. My truck already had a wiring harness on it, which I didn't see, and the tech was honest enough to point it out and explain it to me. Lupe is courteous and did a great job. The personal service provided by Lupe and Carol was EXCEPTIONAL. After booking an appointment for the hitch installation on line, we received a call from Lupe, and he ensured that the proper hitch was in-hand before we arrived for the installation appointment. The company website is lacking. By permitting consumers to book appointments without verifying availability of the equipment, the company is setting consumers up for disappointment and frustration. However, in this case, the service staff made up for all the websites shortcomings. They were knowledgeable and friendly, and Lupe in particular was efficient and communicative regarding the product and the process. Carol was also personable and service oriented.
