We set up our rental for auto pay each month. The first month we got a late notice on the day it was due along with a late charge. Simultaneously, they also reached out to the emergency contact person we were required to provide upon leasing the unit. When we called and asked what happened to the auto pay we set up, the agent checked on it. We got a half-hearted "oops…I guess the paperwork was never put into the system." All that…including bothering our contact…because of THEIR mistake. Each time we have needed to get questions answered, it's like seeing a deer in the headlights…confusion and lack of knowledge. After all of that, when we couldn't get a reputable moving company to help before the end of one month of rental but got everything out the first day of a new rental month, U-Haul wouldn't give us any kind of a pro-rated rental. They demanded a full month's rent for a few hours. We were out by noon. While moving out, we could hear another hugely dissatisfied customer arguing about how he had carried out his end of the agreement but U-Haul hadn't kept up their end. 路‍♀️ We won't be using the U-Haul at 1100 Los Rios in Plano TX ever again.

U-Haul team forgot to put appliance dolly in truck. I had to make 45 minute round trip to pick up dolly. When I returned truck at 4:45 pm I was told no one could do the propane fuel so they'd send a email invoice in the morning. Rental was 21,4 miles yet there was a 8,4 gallon propane bill (2,5 mpg). When I called to ask about it I was put on hold for 9 minutes and no one answered. When I called back the person who answered didn't know and got someone. The person said there was nothing they could do that I'd agreed to the charges when I rented. She continued to talk over me, was rude dismissive and hung up on me.

I would recommend...but I would be very careful to make sure what you ordered to go inside the truck (blankets/dolly's/hand truck etc) are as requested.

I didn't get the dolly that I needed Not too worried since the money was returned but Calling me at 8:30 AM the next morning to tell me that my uhaul wasn't returned when I returned it an hour earlier than I was supposed to is ridiculous. And accusing me of still having the truck after I said I returned it is worse. I argued with the lady until she checked it and realized I was right.

My reservation was cancelled and I was not notified. They tried to up sell me to a more expensive truck because they said they were out of pickups. There were five parked outside. Every customer at the counter seemed to be having issues. The truck had several warning lights on the dash. The ac kept going out and it smelled like cigarettes.

The Manager Anita and all her staff was EXTREMELY RUDE. They always tell you to call 24hrs in advance to access your U box. When you get there the next day they say oh ok let me go get it. This happen to me 3x. She wanted to argue and holler at like I was a kid because they was wrong. Then told me well I don't have to let you in your U BOX. We close at 4pm and it's 3pm I just looked at her like she was crazy. So then she told me I can clear my box off and go somewhere else. Her staff kept giving me wrong information and she would just say it don't matter there new. I called at 939am and got there around 230pm next day and she kept saying it's 24hrs. I had to remind her you know that's more than 24hrs. I still had to wait for them to pull my box out. The most rudest Manager and staff I ever did business with. I ask for receipt after I closed out my transactions and she always had a problem with it. I didn't feel comfortable at all. 2nd time I wanted to access my Box it was 5 staff members in there just smirking saying they can't help me because they didn't drive HI-LO. Last time I was in there she ignored me and went outside. She is very nasty with no CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WHATSOEVER. Contract # 21758611 PLEASE CALL ME. I will be reporting her and the staff to CORPORATE hopefully they take action in PLANO TX.

Customer service is very difficult to get a hold of, when phone finally answered I got put through the transfer loops or the phone hung up on me. When changing address I had to call and have someone change the address 3 times before it was actually changed. All customer service was professional and friendly

Our son was not advised of the need to call 24 hours in advance to access the Ubox and was denied access on the last day before being charged for a full month's storage thereafter. (He did have access on a drop-in basis 1 or 2 times prior.) I have personally called to mitigate the charge (to my credit card) and was told 2-3 times I would be called regarding the outcome of a review. I have not been called by this facility and will therefore submit a dispute with my credit card company. I have to wonder if access on last day rentals is denied in order to charge a month's future rent.

Understaffed. Staff had to call management to figure out what to do. Appliance dolly wasny available even though I booked online hours earlier. Truck no good if I don't have dolly. Drive 10 miles out of way to get a dolly, at my expense with miles charged to get one.

Check that plastic ties are intact on blankets and dolly prior to renting. Add confirmation to renters check list. If you don't check prior to renting, do not assume the renter cut ties, and then bill the renter for using equipment that was not used. Either your team is incompetent in checking before hand, or running a scam!

It's been years since I've rented from uhaul last, but I find it a little disappointing how the mileage allowance has gotten so miserly. I also was not understanding of the requirement to provide someone else's name to uhaul that has nothing to do with the agreement that I alone entered into.

I made a reservation for a unit online only to find out when I arrived that online reservations don't mean anything. Instead of being helpful, the employees that we spoke with told us, "There's nothing we can do. You need to take it up with whoever made the website." I asked if they had any units available, something that they should have offered me, and they told me that I could probably make due with one unit that was slightly smaller. I went to the unit and realized that there was no way that my things would fit. I went back to the office and they gave me two small units that were about the size of the unit that I originally wanted. When I drove back over to check them out, one of them was locked. I drove back to the office and was told that they needed to contact the person who was currently occupying the unit. I told them to call me when they figured it out. I waited for 3 hours and called them as they were closing within the hour. They told me to come back and they would give me two other units. If you are considering this location, I advise you to store your items elsewhere to save yourself the headache.

Hassle free for pick up and drop off. Easy to reserve. Good location for me. If I could offer any suggestions for improvement, it would be faster phone service. I was stuck at a gas station and couldn't restart the van after filling it up. I knew it must be something I did or didn't do. I was on hold for over 15 minutes and no one picked up the line. Fortunately a stranger helped me. The steering wheel had to be turned just right before the key would start the ignition.

Passenger mirror was detached, had to do a vehicle transfer. Because of the time taken for the transfer, vehicle was returned 20 minutes later than planned and I was charged for 2 rental periods. The staff were helpful in getting it resolved, but it was a headache to get ahold of them by phone and I ended up doing it in person. Overall a neutral experience.

With all the storage around those area you have a lot of choice to go to the different place but the stuff that makes a difference and they are not knowledgeable what they doing and not professional at all I’m going to give you example they try to check me in for getting a U-Haul truck and people come and ask them to clock in all day talking on the personal phone or dare just really rude and they have to go back and forth to ask a question and that’s not right and A professional at all

This location is well managed with helpful staff (in my opinion). I always feel safe and that my belongings are safe. There are "working" alarms, and cameras are everywhere. They make pest control a priority. The building is always clean and well maintained, and carts were always available when needed, at no charge. The ONLY a negative is that sometimes the loading/unloading area is not unavailable. The cars parked there are unattended (sometimes with sunshades are up in the windshield), so clearly NOT loading/unloading). It just needs to be monitored and enforced a little better so patrons have better access and KNOW to park in spaces on the lot if they are going to be inside the facility for an extended time.

We made at LEAST four trips to pick up a reservation, and were told to come back later. The system shows one thing, the store shows another. This was the biggest mess for such a great, convenient concept. Every aspect of this process was extremely time-consuming and frustrating. The boxes themselves are great, and the trailer setup is great. More than enough furniture blankets. Just PLEASE spend some time on the digital side of this. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to do this all via the app instead of having to call, wait 18-30 minutes EACH TIME to talk to someone who may or may not have the correct info to schedule our pick up. Can you tell this was awful?

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the trailer when received. Unfortunately, the employee and I never opened the door to the trailer. When I got to my destination, I discovered there was motor oil all over the floor making it very slippery and dangerous. I immediately texted the uhaul cite and took care of trash left from the prior customer. I had to spend additional funds for a paper drop cloth to help prevent damage to bed mattresses we were moving. I did not have enough time to go back and exchange. I did however turn the vehicle in early as I would just as soon use my clean suburban vs an oily floor trailer to move small stuff. I then get informed by uhaul that I am being charged 15 $for cleaning due to your prior customers use. Ridiculous!

The ONLY staff member that was even cordial was the young man that loaded/unloaded the UBox on the trailer. One young man ate a popsicle and never looked at me during the check in at the counter. Manager barely spoke, never made eye contact, and answered questions with one word answers. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Except for the staff at this location, I've had positive interactions with UHaul in the past. I'll use UHaul again, but never this location.

Hammer home that people should get the warranty. My son set up our rental (using my info) and thought he got the warranty. A rock ended up cracking the windshield, which cost me 400 plus dollars. Maybe the app/website could make it easier to get the warranty? Anyway, the ladies that helped me were great as was the location. Merci!

I had to go around 6 Uhaul facilities over 2 days time driving 160 miles in total to get my trailer indicator wiring done. Few have the part , they don't have resources Secondly the i box was dropped 26 min away from my house at destination even though there was a facility in 4 miles. In Texas distances are long. With traffic I had to make multiple rounds to get my stuff from container as the trailers pull could be risky to that distance.

Though the staff was friendly, the overall experience was less than stellar. Almost every time I went, one of the gates was stuck open (lack of security). I kept getting calls from management telling me I had crates delivered to me(?????). My AUTOMATIC BILLING somehow got messed up and because my account was a few day late MY BROTHER IN NH received a notice of delinquent account in my name! My space kept having other people park in it and was changed three times in one day. Too many headaches for just a parking space.

To be honest I had an awful experience with the manager at this location on 8/6/21 as she tried to CHARGE me for a Day of rental service that I did NOT USE because I was returning the truck within the allotted time frame! Actually 20 minutes earlier as well as VOID the INSURANCE policy that I purchased. She stated that the insurance DOES NOT COVER the BODY of the truck nor the tires or overhead and I was wondering what did it cover she failed to tell me that but she presented almost 400 $worth of charges to me and I had to dispel everyone of them because I purchased the insurance that she did not understand. I scraped the skirt on the truck which would have been the eighth noted damaged spot on the truck that was rent d to me because the rest of had claims stickers due to being covered by the insurance policy…. But in my instance the policy was going to be VOID if I did not pursue the manager for CORRECTING her mistake. She tried to humiliate me in front of her staff and customers…. However she only highlighted the fact that she was ignorant to her role and the description of her duties as well as the products that U-Haul sells

We moved from Michigan to Texas. We made a reservation for a storage 10x15x9 and when we have arrived, the storage WAS NOT available. They truck was due on 8/2/21. We were moving a 3bedroom home. They offered 4 storage units of 10x5. These DID not work. The storages were too small for our belongings to fit. This pushed the moved in back a day. They also explained that there was nothing else they could do. We were able to locate a storage the following day in Plano on N central parkway. When we arrived he told us that the storage we selected could not be used for the "one month free" and that we had to pay for it. So, with the truck being due on 8/2/21 at 9am, we were not able to have it back in time. It was all such an inconvenience. This is the SECOND unpleasant experience I have had with U-HAUL. We've used you guys twice to move across country and it's been a problem EVERY time. I tried reaching out to customer service several times and the GM from where we picked up our rental, but I was not able to get the problem solved. We had to pay for the storage that was promised to us FREE 170 $. This was in fact NOT in the budget. We also had to pay for gas as well due to having the U-Haul longer and having to drive. It's been a horrible experience each time. I would not recommend!

The sales reps, were very nasty. I was very unhappy with all of my services. I was treated very rude by a few employees. I will never go to this location again or refer anyone to this location. Difficult to ever reach a human in the office on the phone. The computer system often messes up billing. Even on auto-pay I have been sent late notices and late fees applied. I got such a case even after closing my account both online and in the office. This notice even says my closing date was 7/11, but it was closed 7/5 and verified closed on that date in the office! That tells me in took your system 6-days to close the account which then put me past due on 7/8. Other than that, my climate controlled space was kept clean. Another irritating item is the horribly loud alarm going off almost every time I was in my space working, even though I checked in and out properly.

I'd say above average for the price and proximity to my home, but far from excellent. The RV parking has issues: the gravel lot is soupy in some slots which will rot tires. Consider adding gravel to get it above the dampness and mud. The limited access to electricity, is disappointing and unusual. It's best for the RV to remain on a trickle charger - it takes very little power. There's quite a bit of trash/junk that appears to spill over into neighboring pads. No one seems to be enforcing any rules. I suspect the 1 free month offer attracts less desirable short term tenants. A couple of false starts - the initial site given to me had a car parked in it and the ground was wet and soft. Back to the office. Got a new site, but this one had the electrical box locked, so no power. Tried to call 3 times, but know one answered. Back to the office again. Another 15 minute wait. Staff was courteous and mostly knowledgeable, but they were understaffed to handle the Friday morning load. (I'd hate to see what Saturday looks like.)

I had a reservation number that nobody seemed to be able to find in the computer. The first couple of guys I dealt with were nice, but kind of clueless--I think they were new. Once Gavin got involved, the process was easy and painless. He was friendly, professional and proficient.

1012 unit was clean. Unit door has outside scratches and damages around door and door guide rails rubber cushion comes off of metal rails as door is opened and closed. This is a minor issue of just having to raise the door and pressed the rubber cushion back onto the railing after opening and closing the door.

Several times we found the gate wide open and when reporting this, the office staff was quite aggravated with having to deal with a report of something they needed to fix. The dump station never had running water to enable clean out of RV tanks. Dump station was not designed for us as the lack of level made it useless.

Always accessible. I had the Storage for three years and I only remember one time when I was not able to access it. There was some thing wrong with the system but they had it fixed in 15 minutes. Overall excellent experience.

When someone runs into a hard time U-haul is unforgiving it appears that they are hungry to sell your storage items. It a lesson learned for with high late fees and greed. I would never use again once I collect my property.

The facility and uhaul truck rental was great. Perfect size for what I needed. They man that helped with my reservations was really great. The day I actually picked up the truck the staff was not super professional and were having personal conversations instead of explaining the process. It was my first time renting a uhaul so I had a lot of questions, but they seemed distracted.
