Checking out after hours. I was told I could just drop my key in the box. The notice on the box said that I would be charged more if I did that. So, a few pictures, filling out forms, turning on location services on my phone and 15 minutes later, I checked out. Not fun!Thomas D.

Was unhappy with the person or persons I dealt with from your call center. They failed to tell me that the storage unit would be upstairs and not ground level. The staff at 25th st arranged for a street level unit but it was a couple of mails from the original siite. Also in the cab it said you can get a month storage free if you rent a truck. Disappointed with the reservation that was made through your call center. Never told me that the storage space was on a 2nd floor with having to walk up 12 steps. The local site on 25th st. found a location about 1 mile from their main facility on 25th street in Easton. Also was not told that since we also rented a truck we could get a months storage rent free, which was on a placard in the truck. Not a Happy Camper. Had to pay more than what we were told.stuart S.

it was Sunday before Labor Day, so there was no one to confirm my drop off in the system, but i took a pic of the miles, full tank before i dropped off the key. i returned the truck where i picked up the next day and dropped the key in the drop box. i did not return the truck to this location.Charles F.

Made a reservation 3days prior to rental pickup. On the pickup day my reservation could not be found in the system. Luckily I had a printout when I made the reservation This caused me undue hardship with my plans. Also, one of the employee was very uncoperative. I don't know his name but he has bumps all over his face. He is a lier and very unprofessional with an attitude problemhenrey Y.

We verified our return, but didn't get confirmation. A page flashed â€œthank youâ€ for completing or something along those lines, then went blank. It also took almost a half hour doing it on our phone. 2 times we somehow were switched to another webpage and couldn't go back without starting over. It's great to be able to check in after hours, but we weren't paying $20 for something we could do ourselves. Just would be nice to know that it worked. Overall we were very happy.Lauren S.

Don't change for 4 gallons of gas if 1 was used at most 1,5 gallons. Really did 35 miles and according to you the truck made only made 8mpg. But EPA rates it at 30MPG. That is simply theft.Piotr R.

I am highly pissed off that I came in and they told me that they did not have the available truck that I made a reservation for. There was a truck there but they told me that it was for someone else when they said it was first come first serve. I was not granted the $50 reservation guarantee. Make sure you have the available trucks for the next day. I will not recommend this location to anyone.Joshua W.

The truck given to us was less than desirable. The tire low air dash light was on along with another dash light from the beginning. The guy working the desk didn't know what was going on or where the truck was, but there was a woman there named Tomi who was outstanding and honestly should be running the place. The sign says to just pull up with the truck and they will check you out after waiting 20 minutes and no one came to check us out. When we asked a gentleman who was over by the trailers he said no you have to go inside. We waited an additional 20 minutes inside to be told no he didn't have to do that we can just do it from here. It did not appear that they had a system in place that was working in lines were out the door and there was no parking for customers available all of the spaces were taken.Roger R.

Only complaint I have is that I selected a pick up location online which was confirmed initially, but I had to go to a different location 15 miles away to pick up the truckGary W.
The truck was dirty inside the tire pressure light was on and check engine light was on I went back in the front counter and asked them if they knew about the lights and inside was dirty I was told they knew about the lights but not being dirty but the truck will be fine I was told and I believe I was over charged I have rented the truck numerous times to the same place and back and never was charged as much as I was and I was never emailed a receipt so I only know they charged my account twice and I brought the truck back with the right amount of gas in it as I left as I always do So no I didn't have a good experience And I would appreciate it if someone would get back to me about this Thank you . Provide the correct location for pickup. I asked for pickup 5 minutes from my home. You sent me to southside Easton, PA (20+ minutes away). Then I find out its not there, it is actually in Nazareth, PA. The Nazareth person was excellent. The Southside Easton person was less than helpful.Kevin C.

We returned truck with no issues. Upon reading the fine print, we noticed that had we not done self return you would charge a fee. Charging a convenience fee to return a truck is sneaky and deceitful. We were not charged a fee but creating a convenience fee that is the same amount as a rental fee to return a truck to human is bad business. Old people who do not have a smart phone are being taken advantage of by your company by charging them a fee to return. Convenience is the wrong word, maybe call it a â€˜money grab' fee or a â€˜rip off' fee.Jeremy C.
I originally rented the truck for one way, but had extra furniture that needed to come back home. I called UHaul eight times and my calls were continually transferred and no one could assist. I reached out to the original rental location and the employee there put me in touch with the Regional Traffic Manager. He was able to secure the second leg of the rental and it took less than five minutes for that. Also, someone from the original rental location called me to verify that I had what I needed. At first, the experience wasn't good, but in the end, great service wins!!Judy H.

The problem was when I picked up the van. I wasn't told how to use the app first of all. Then when I was trying to figure out the app I thought I was supposed to take pictures of everything. I it did was cause me problems later. The fuel tank showed 3/4 of a tank when I left. I took a picture of it. On the computer it showed 3/4 of a tank as well. Both lady and guy I talked to said I put a dispute in and changed it from 3/4 to full. I told them why would I do that and still they did not want to work with me even though they knew it was at 3/4 before I looked at it and made the mistake on the app.WILLIAM K.

I tried to extend my reservation for one more day. The support told me that they cannot help me with that, because the car was already reserved by another family. They offered me to make another reservation for a similar car. We've done it. I returned the previous car at 8am and I had to wait 1 hour until the opening time to get a new car. In one hour I received a new car. It was the same car with the same number. But how could I get it if it was already reserved? I spent 2 hours and was driving extra miles (which cost money) to bring a car to the office, wait one hour, and go back on the same car. What was the point of this? Why couldn't my reservation be extended without the personal visit? Why support lied to me about "another family booked this car"?Ivan P.

The employee who we spoke with to get truck and assisted with rental if you could call it that was lackadaisical and uninterested and not helpful at all. The truck we had rented almost a week prior was not on the lot and we were given paperwork that did not match the truck we were given. Nor could he print us receipt and made no effort to do so. Just said he couldn't because of "computer issues" We were told there would be no issues on the return because of this but that was false as well as we did have issues with return. I have used U-Haul a handful of times and this was a terrible experience and was not happy.Sara S.

Everything was fine with me. I like that I was able to rent the truck on line, it was fast and easy to do. It also saved a lot of time when I went to pick up the truck. A person that was in front of me was renting a truck and it seemed like it was taking forever. That's the only thing I can says that I would like to see change, maybe a line for people who already registered on line and only need to pick up the Keys , and one for someone who needs to do it all there. All in all, I never had a problem with this uhaul, I have been using their service for years and will continue to do soSally A.

I reserved a covered vehicle, went to the location I reserved it at and it wasn't available. The trailer I reserved was covered. After chasing down anything in the area, I ended up with an open trailerAlexis W.
Not a big deal, but the van had an empty box and a toilet plunger in it when I picked it up. ALSO, the 24/7 app isn't ready for prime time. On July 27, I got to the point of "go get the keys" but when I went inside for the keys, the associate told me "my" van was not available! On July 31, I was set for a 9 AM pick up but when I got to the store, I had to hunt around on my phone to find out my 24/7 rental was changed to an in-store and "Please wait for the store to open at 9AM" Then, at the counter, I had to use my phone to take pictures of my license. Your associates were helpful, but this app needs some maturing and usability improvements.PETER W.

The trailer I rented was not available when I went to pick it up. I was given a larger trailer that I was unsure whether my van can tow or not. I was white knuckled my entire 24 hour drive and my drive took even longer than this. Was very uncomfortable having to turn the ac off even to save my van from struggling. No one even called me the day before to confirm whether my trailer would be available or to even tell me that my trailer would NOT be available and allow me time to decide what to do. My reservation was moved from Center Valley, PA to Easton 25 miles out of my way that I had to pay for gas and drive the big truck. The location is unseeable from the road and took us almost 30 minutes to find. They did not have the appliance dolly that I had paid for and I had to go back to Center Valley to forward me to Quakertown U-Haul to trade the regular dolly for an appliance dolly. The people in front of me at Easton also were very unhappy, complaining to the employees and had me wait 20-30 minutes to be checked in. Also the employee wanted me to scan my own driver's license with my phone and click a link... I don't understand why he couldn't just scan my driver's license himself. Very frustrating, poor experience overall. Also, they only started me with 1/4 tank of gas so I had to fill up right away.Daniel F.

Worst experience ever ! I went to U-Haul to get an outdoor storage, when I asked the store associate if the storage unit they had was outside he said yes , when asked if a small trailer can be put inside he said as long as it fits you can store it . When we got the card and went looking for the storage we couldn't find it outside . By this time the store associate left for the day , and another store associate had to help us find the storage that was inside the storage facility! I have had the U-Haul self storage for a full year. It's been extremely difficult reaching anyone in the front office. I live out of state so it's hard for me to just drive there to speak with someone. I recently filed a claim and the employees have limited experience and knowledge regarding procedures and whether I needed to keep my storage unit open. I'm also trying to track down my adjusted at Rep West which has only been time consuming. Storage unit was not available upon arrival, despite having reservation confirmation in-hand. Staff was of zero help whatsoever. Had driven 2,5 hours with a U-haul truck full of stuff (this was booked at same exact time as storage unit, and confirmation for truck was on same invoice). Horribly ran location. Absolute joke. Only 2 people working. Neither knows what's going on. I payed for a 10x10 storage on line. Get there and had to give all info over again and run my credit card AGAIN. I specifically asked for an outside unit. They gave me an inside unit with a 5' door in a tight hallway. I can't get anything in there. There were lots of dust and cobweb.but I will not put the full responsibility on Uhaul , I think the better deal is should be an acute term dealing with storage. My storage was in for too long. I far prefer dealing with the facility directly. The call center seemed only interested in getting me to to commit to renting more stuff and reserving stuff. I was disappointed with the storage I reserved a 10x10 storage unit online but when I got there the storage was unavailable due to a leak and all they had was the largest storage unit available at $279 a month I was offered the choice of going to a different facility which I did not want to drive to they did give me the first month's rent free but I was still disappointed because I will have to come out my pockets double the amount I wanted to do. I would have rated the Nazareth facility much higher, but I feel the service, considering other places, was drastically over priced (only place available in the area at the time). Nice facility. Surprised to know UHaul won't prorate your last month if you move out early so essentially I paid for three weeks I'm not using. They will be able to turn around and rent those spaces now, essentially being double paid for them. Last, the employees never seemed to know how to work the computer and made lots of mistakes.
