It would be nice to gave a slight discount if you return the truck early. We picked up on Friday and returned early Sunday. 2 days early. Even $50 would have been nice.Alana K.
I tried to extend my reservation for one more day. The support told me that they cannot help me with that, because the car was already reserved by another family. They offered me to make another reservation for a similar car. We've done it. I returned the previous car at 8am and I had to wait 1 hour until the opening time to get a new car. In one hour I received a new car. It was the same car with the same number. But how could I get it if it was already reserved? I spent 2 hours and was driving extra miles (which cost money) to bring a car to the office, wait one hour, and go back on the same car. What was the point of this? Why couldn't my reservation be extended without the personal visit? Why support lied to me about "another family booked this car"?Ivan P.

The employee who we spoke with to get truck and assisted with rental if you could call it that was lackadaisical and uninterested and not helpful at all. The truck we had rented almost a week prior was not on the lot and we were given paperwork that did not match the truck we were given. Nor could he print us receipt and made no effort to do so. Just said he couldn't because of "computer issues" We were told there would be no issues on the return because of this but that was false as well as we did have issues with return. I have used U-Haul a handful of times and this was a terrible experience and was not happy.Sara S.

Everything was fine with me. I like that I was able to rent the truck on line, it was fast and easy to do. It also saved a lot of time when I went to pick up the truck. A person that was in front of me was renting a truck and it seemed like it was taking forever. That's the only thing I can says that I would like to see change, maybe a line for people who already registered on line and only need to pick up the Keys , and one for someone who needs to do it all there. All in all, I never had a problem with this uhaul, I have been using their service for years and will continue to do soSally A.

I reserved a covered vehicle, went to the location I reserved it at and it wasn't available. The trailer I reserved was covered. After chasing down anything in the area, I ended up with an open trailerAlexis W.
Not a big deal, but the van had an empty box and a toilet plunger in it when I picked it up. ALSO, the 24/7 app isn't ready for prime time. On July 27, I got to the point of "go get the keys" but when I went inside for the keys, the associate told me "my" van was not available! On July 31, I was set for a 9 AM pick up but when I got to the store, I had to hunt around on my phone to find out my 24/7 rental was changed to an in-store and "Please wait for the store to open at 9AM" Then, at the counter, I had to use my phone to take pictures of my license. Your associates were helpful, but this app needs some maturing and usability improvements.PETER W.

The trailer I rented was not available when I went to pick it up. I was given a larger trailer that I was unsure whether my van can tow or not. I was white knuckled my entire 24 hour drive and my drive took even longer than this. Was very uncomfortable having to turn the ac off even to save my van from struggling. No one even called me the day before to confirm whether my trailer would be available or to even tell me that my trailer would NOT be available and allow me time to decide what to do. My reservation was moved from Center Valley, PA to Easton 25 miles out of my way that I had to pay for gas and drive the big truck. The location is unseeable from the road and took us almost 30 minutes to find. They did not have the appliance dolly that I had paid for and I had to go back to Center Valley to forward me to Quakertown U-Haul to trade the regular dolly for an appliance dolly. The people in front of me at Easton also were very unhappy, complaining to the employees and had me wait 20-30 minutes to be checked in. Also the employee wanted me to scan my own driver's license with my phone and click a link... I don't understand why he couldn't just scan my driver's license himself. Very frustrating, poor experience overall. Also, they only started me with 1/4 tank of gas so I had to fill up right away.Daniel F.

The 2 employees were more interested in talking with each other for 10 minutes instead of helping me (the only customer there). I also felt like I was getting interrogated for getting the smallest trailer size available and practically needed to explain my reasoning for not getting something bigger.Benjamin R.

Honestly nothing they could have done to make it better. Cargo van ran out of coolant, overheated and shut off once and I bought and filled it back up. Lights were on from the start (check engine and tpms service light) The young lady who took care of me was amazing however. Helpful in every aspect of the word. I don't believe it's there fault what happened but I'm sure service centers could be more helpful I would like to know if there is a way to give her 5 stars. If so please let me knowTroy F.

Terrible! No communication on delivery. After no showing on Sunday, I called repeatedly with no answer!!. This is not the fault of the location I picked truck up from, but I reserved that truck about three weeks in advance at a location 5 mins from my house,the day before I get call I have to drive 20 miles to get truck,come on you can do better..The only complaint about truck was cup holders were broken,wouldn't hold cups tight,found out the hard way,cleaning up coffee at 4am is not my idea of funDaniel W.

Awful experience. Cancelled on by multiple movers through moving help, uhaul employees not helpful with remedying this. Every time I tried to call the uhaul line to figure out where my boxes were and how to retrieve them I was transferred at least 5 times and still did not receive assistance. Uhaul never completed the scheduled drop off and failed to call me to tell me this. I had to go get the uboxes myself from uhaul and they still charged me for the truck. Did not get reimbursed for the delivery fee. Horrible communication and customer support, will not be using uhaul services again.Parker H.

one of the reps was arguing with a member of my party over our ID. we just transferred our PA licenses to NJ licenses and we were told they weren't sufficient to get a uhaul. luckily we had 1 other person not in this boat whos ID we used, but there should be some workaround for people in this situation. i.e. another form of ID and the temporary licenseangela N.

The van I rented was still dirty from the previous renter, and I immediately had to put gas in the vehicle as it was barely above an eighth of a tank. The paperwork I was given stated it was at a quarter of a tank. I cleaned it for both I and the previous renter, and left slightly more than an actual quarter of a tank. You're welcome.Ovidius M.

I rented a van and when I was doing the paperwork with them, I was asked how many miles am I going to be putting on the vehicle. Not knowing the exact mileage ( and how would I really know that?) I did my best by trying to guess the miles. My guess was 25 miles. Anyway, when I returned to their facility, I put 33 miles on the vehicle. So when they gave me my final bill, it was about $7 more than what they had originally we're going to charge me. I asked them why is there a difference in price and their response was I went 8 miles over what I told them I thought I was going to put on the vehicle. They said there was an 89 cent per mile extra charge because of that. I asked them how me or anybody would be able to give you an exact mile count of what you would be putting on the vehicle. They looked at me and said I should have told them I would be putting more miles on it than 25. Again I said how could I have known? Anyway I asked them if they could just let that go out of basic common sense or customer service and I was told that management really keeps an eye on them for everything. I was in disbelief and I really didn't make too much of an issue out of it because it was only $7, I guess I was just stunned and amazed that a company like U-Haul would miss $7. I guess they really needed that $7. Like I said, it was only $7 but it was the principal of the matter that really struck me in a bad way. Anyway, the days of taking care of your customers is gone and greed and whatever else you want to call it is The New normal. I hope they put that $7 to good use. Totally unbelievable. I was going to go to home Depot and now I really wish I did. I don't think I'll be coming back to this U-Haul facility anytime soon or ever.Ryan Z.

Worst experience ever ! I went to U-Haul to get an outdoor storage, when I asked the store associate if the storage unit they had was outside he said yes , when asked if a small trailer can be put inside he said as long as it fits you can store it . When we got the card and went looking for the storage we couldn't find it outside . By this time the store associate left for the day , and another store associate had to help us find the storage that was inside the storage facility! I have had the U-Haul self storage for a full year. It's been extremely difficult reaching anyone in the front office. I live out of state so it's hard for me to just drive there to speak with someone. I recently filed a claim and the employees have limited experience and knowledge regarding procedures and whether I needed to keep my storage unit open. I'm also trying to track down my adjusted at Rep West which has only been time consuming. Storage unit was not available upon arrival, despite having reservation confirmation in-hand. Staff was of zero help whatsoever. Had driven 2,5 hours with a U-haul truck full of stuff (this was booked at same exact time as storage unit, and confirmation for truck was on same invoice). Horribly ran location. Absolute joke. Only 2 people working. Neither knows what's going on. I payed for a 10x10 storage on line. Get there and had to give all info over again and run my credit card AGAIN. I specifically asked for an outside unit. They gave me an inside unit with a 5' door in a tight hallway. I can't get anything in there. There were lots of dust and cobweb.but I will not put the full responsibility on Uhaul , I think the better deal is should be an acute term dealing with storage. My storage was in for too long. I far prefer dealing with the facility directly. The call center seemed only interested in getting me to to commit to renting more stuff and reserving stuff. I was disappointed with the storage I reserved a 10x10 storage unit online but when I got there the storage was unavailable due to a leak and all they had was the largest storage unit available at $279 a month I was offered the choice of going to a different facility which I did not want to drive to they did give me the first month's rent free but I was still disappointed because I will have to come out my pockets double the amount I wanted to do. Nice facility. Surprised to know UHaul won't prorate your last month if you move out early so essentially I paid for three weeks I'm not using. They will be able to turn around and rent those spaces now, essentially being double paid for them. Last, the employees never seemed to know how to work the computer and made lots of mistakes.
