Work on the auto hauler pricing scale. No reason to be charge the same rate for 1 day as I would for 3 days. Doesn't make since.

SHARONDA CAbsolutely the worst experience. 3 u boxes recommended, not nearly enough I had to rent two additional pull behind trailer and move myself. Pick up of u boxes took 8 failed scheduled. Was billed an additional month RENT because u boxes left on my property from 8/22 to 9/5. And only picked up them because I went to the Traffic manager to complain. I have asked for total reimbursement, and not even received a call back. The absolute worse experience EVER

STANLEY GThe 26 ft truck was old and the headlight fell out, while I was driving down the highway. You roadside help me, but the company they sent out was told some part that keeps the headlight in, is obsolete, so the guy did his best to fix it Well later that night you could barely see the headlight out on the road, to me that was a safety issue.
ROBERT CIt was quick and easy to rent for this location. All the staff I interacted with was very knowledgeable, professional and worked with a smile. It was very nice to rent at this location.

JEROME PAuto Trailer is the worse piece of equipment. It's damaged the underside of my car. Damaging the both skid plates and what ever else may need to be replaced. The maintenance of Uhaul trucks is straight Crap. Trucks are poorly maintained and I will never recommend someone get a uhaul. I appreciate the VP of the uhaul there in trying to rectify the situation with their trucks there. I'll be using Penske moving on foward for all future related moves
FRANCISCO NThe truck needs work done to it. Needs an Alignment. It was clean on the inside. Wouldn't recommend because you don't get no deposit back for insurance or anything.

HELEN J | Expérience généraleThe equipment was clean, but the rubber mat getting in the driver side of the truck has come up from the floor and catch your feet when you're trying to get in and can make you fall almost every since May has been in this condition. I have an extensive history with Uhaul and I believe in my opinion that this location is probably the most conscious of cleaning the trucks than any of the other locations. MEGAN NI called several times to make sure that the box would get to my apartment on the 19th. The lady on the phone assured me that it would arrive in Lexington on the 19th. Evidently that did not mean at my apartment on the 19th. Why the hell would I care when my goddamn box gets to Lexington if its not going to be at my apartment. It might as well be in fucking North Dakota on the 19th because i have no access to it. I needed the clothes in that box for my orientation for school and I didn't have them so i had to go get new shit. I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone and will most certainly never use your services again. I would ask for my money back but I know that will never happen. So Thanks for getting it here but it was three days too late.

Merika CSuper easy. They helped me with any concerns I had with driving a huge vehicle with my car on an auto transport. Way easier than thought. 16 hour drive first time doing that with a large truck and a trailer. They helped me attach the vehicle on the trailer to be towed.

William AFYI...When we picked up the truck the cargo area had a horrific Kerosene smell. We were worried that our household goods might pick up the odor. The cab was cleaned with Pinesol cleaner.

Mary RI was randomly charged $148 additional dollars by U-Haul because I went over my miles, despite not receiving any warning from the ones who inspected my vehicle, a massive wait time, returning with the correct fuel amount, and having to pick the truck up from Nashville NC to move from Greenville NC to Fayetteville NC because so many places were otherwise completely out of trucks.
David BFirst kerp your word. Don't call your customers 24 hours before appointment pick up to tell them the equiptment isn't available. Some customer service rep. were rude. Check equiptment to make sure its working. Fuses were blown in truck to connect to tow dolly. I had to wait in the heat at times. Long story and i was not please.

Lance C | Expérience généraleOn 4/6, I went there to use my free 1st month rent on a storage unit. I paid $139.95. she said I wouldn't pay until the next month, however they took that charge. 1 week later I and pointed it out, showing my bank statement as proof. The guy ran my card for a 2nd time, then refunded that charge. Then they told me that because I had done the online check-in I was not eligible for the month free. However their employee did my online check-in because my phone wasn't working correctly. The manager said she would get some sort id. Credit de m to get that month free and she works. They did nothing productive. On 5/6 I was charged again. I had to get another unit on 4/24 (that unit was supposed to be an auto draft)which I was charged for as well. On 5/24 I was again at the location and asked to speak with the manager about this and she had "just left" so I had to call the managers supervisor. She said that the manager had given me some sort of credit and that I did get a month free. On 5/25 I got an email from that manager saying I was late paying so I had a late fee. I went and paid it. Every time asking to speak to the manager but she was not there. On 6/6 I was charged again. I moved out of the unit in that day. So basically I was charged every month, I did not get that 1st month free like I was supposed to. On 6/6 I moved out of both units, asked to speak to the manager again, the employee went around the corner and spoke to her but came back and said she was not there. I heard him ask her and her say to tell me she was gone. The entire process was horrible. So many mistakes on their part and lies. Apparently according to the supervisor Lynn, I got my free month. Except my bank account shows that I paid for every month. Even paid the late fee because they did not put the 2nd unit on auto pay. I've called to talk to Lynn's supervisor and have not received any communication yet. I am so disappointed and angry. I was homeless and was staying in a hotel with my disabled child and that hotel has roaches. I can't afford to be paying all this money for their mistakes. I will be needing to get another 2 trucks on 6/8. After that move I'm done with U-Haul. They have been terrible. I will be leaving a Public review, I will also be reporting this to the better business bureau and the attorney general's office. I have tried several times to resolve this issue and gotten nowhere.

Barbara G | Expérience généraleFirst opened by storage unit to find a U-Haul employee already inside. It was creepy but he said you guys always did inspections before handing over a new unit. I didn't think much of the fact that he was covered in bubble wrap until he handed me a push pin and told me to get poppin'. I'm personally terrified of the sound of bubble wrap popping stemming from a childhood trauma where I broke my aunt's Ming Vase Will trying to wrap it and pack it into a moving box (she had to move out of her lifelong house after her husband filed for divorce - it was messy; she was sleeping with the mailman, who was his brother). After I broke the vase my aunt made me consume 2 yards off bubble wrap without even a Coke to wash it down. To this day even the sight of bubble wrap (or Ming vases) sends me into a cold sweat. Not impressed, U-Haul.

My mom passed is December 2023 so I had to clean her unit out. I rented a truck and cleaned it out February 17, 2024. I went inside to return the key and ask for money back since it was not at the end of the month and I was told we don't retro active units and I could not get 12 days of money back. I am very upset because of the customer I had been with my rent! I guess being a good customer/tenant doesn't account for anything!!! I guess maybe $50 back would hurt your pockets!!!!

They inform you to use your cell phone to document the condition of the rentals upon pick up and return. Technology is great however why not assist the customer in person and represent the UHaul brand in a positive light. Don't just simply say take photos and that will be c amount of money.

Cynthia H | Expérience généraleI am only rating average due to the fact that the area where my unit was located floods when it rains, I had several items at the front of my unit that ended up water logged and had to be thrown away and there was a large amount of wet sand that came in under the door. I did mention this to the staff (who has always been excellent) but, I was kind of put off by the fact that the employee responded by saying "we know, it's sediment, we need to have more hauled in and have it leveled out." So, you know that your buildings are leaking which leads to ruined items, that concerned me. But, if that problem was fixed, it is a great location, convenient to the highway and easy to access the buildings.

Dwayne B | Expérience généraleWe had our camper stored at this uhaul on 301 for 4 years. Our RV was stolen from this facility on January 2023. We were not contacted about this theft. We only found out it was missing when we went to load it for a mini vacation in October of this year. This Uhaul has had many thefts which makes me wonder what security you have in place. Furthermore they do not take ownership of the thefts simply stating "we are not responsible for thefts....etc. we are beginning to think these are inside jobs as I'm personally aware of 3 thefts within 8 months. And to work with their insurance company and adjusters are a real joke. We cannot even pursue other replacement options because you have incompetent people in the chain that can't get denial letters correct, wrong claim #, and even wrong dates of occurrence. Trust me.....run and run fast from this facility. The only thing they did for us was give our storage fee back for 10 months. I guess that was compensation to us for not contacting us from the beginning.

I think they need power windows and cruise control to maintain a specified speed for better gas usage.it would be nice to be able to adjust the mirrors via remote control.other than those specific items the rental was satisfactory.

After loading the rental truck all day, and having to rent an additional tow trailer I was unable to tow my car as planned. I was offered a rental unit because I was a one-way move. It was late when I arrived at the storage unit only to find my car didn't fit. I contacted U-Haul 1-800 as the office was closed. I asked to leave my vehicle parked in the parking lot. I was informed this is not allowed. This was a total fiasco, trying to locate a place for my vehicle at night. At no time was I told that the unit would not fit a vehicle even when I stated that's what I would be placing in the unit for approximately a week. This delayed my leave as I searched a place for my vehicle. This required me to park my vehicle in a sketchy area on the street with flashers on as it would have been locked in the parking lot at 10:00pm when the gates closed. I located a place to park the truck and then returned for the car. At no time was I informed they DO NOT secure vehicles at this site. This DELAYED my departure requiring a hotel stay, only to wake in the morning to a flat tire. I returned to the same U-Haul to have the flat repaired further delaying my trip. I requested compensation and received a 63 mile credit! I was not given additional time, or credit for my inconvenience. I will be discussing this further with U-Haul.

Which is what ultimately led to us clearing out

When I arrived at this storage facility on 28 Jan 2023. I was told that the unit (#156) that I reserved had been leased to another customer. Unacceptable! No good reason was given for this mistake. I was forced to lease a larger storage unit (10X15) at a higher cost. I intentionally visited this office the week prior on a trip to Fayetteville to ensure the unit was active an assigned to me. It was assigned to me on my this visit. When return with all my furniture from Florida. This unit was no longer reserved and was assigned to another customer. Richard
