Customer service representative can do better by not having customers waiting around to return items while he clean out other return trucks.

We have paid for climate control the entire time which has been broken for several years, yet you did not decrease our fees to reflect this. I am not at all pleased with anything about this facility in the years I was a client there. Maybe with your new management, things will change. ZYON MI had a 1:00 reservation and arrived at 12:50 for a 4 hour rental. It took about 30 minute to get everything filled out and paid for, but I was still told that my rental was due back at 5. You either need to work on shortening the checkout process or adjust the start time to the end of the chick-in process Thank you for your consideration.

TERESA MHad to wait an hour to be served. They need at least 2 staff members. The unit he told me to open was locked. He switched from 8x5 to 5x8. Unfortunately, that footprint was not functional I needed width not height. Finally I had to pay for a unit bigger than I needed just so I could be done with it. The movers finished at 7:05pm. He said his ride was there and just to leave the trailer there. There is no way I could lift that trailer off the hitch without a jack. Not to mention- he did not check it in. If it were stolen I would have been charged. I was forced to stay overnight so I could return the trailer today (Sunday, Feb 9). The store doesn't open til 9, I was due for work in Lancaster at 0700. I was lucky to find someone to cover for me. What a mess. Moving is stressful enough without these unnecessary complications. This is all a result of radically understaffing your facility. Shame on you.

DAVID S*My complaint is with UHaul* We drove from TN to Lake Wyle with trailer to help our son move to Florence SC. He rented a lg truck in NC & our plan was to put the items from our rental trailer into his rented truck & drop off the trailer there in Lake Wylie. After arriving, we realized the items we had would not fit in the truck with his items that he had loaded. I called to change my destination drop off of the trailer (which I had for another 24 hours) & was told that I would be charged rent times 2 for this change! So UHaul charged me more money for something that I already paid for. I can understand the charge if I did not notify them of the change or didn't return it in time, but I did! To avoid the double charge, we returned trailer in Lake Wylie & rented it again for Florence. STILL HAD TO PAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS. I've been a long time customer & am not happy now.

Terry KThe trailer seemed old with lots of squeaks and sounds. The "square" nut that tightens the trailer to the ball of the hitch was in poor shape - the piece you press down so you can turn the square was bent making it VERY difficult to disconnect the trailer. Prior to my visit, I also reserved an appliance dolly which was not available when I arrived. This forced me to go to another location to pick up one - something I should not have to have done and added more delays for me. SAFETY: MY TRAILER CAME OFF MY VEHICLE AT 30MPH WHILE IN TRAFFIC. Fortunately, the safety chains kept the trailer from causing a major accident. The cause was due to the staff not tightening the square on the trailer to hold it on the ball (possibly due to the issue with the square mentioned above). When I expected it, it was completely open thus no wonder it came off. When this happened, I was close to the other UHAUL location I was having to go to for the appliance dolly not where it was supposed to be. Here, they properly reattached the trailer, apologized, and called the original store to let them know what they missed. My experience with this location was poor and dangerous. I wish I had not rented from U-haul at this location.
Timothy HI have rented a U-Haul Truck several times. I didn't have an issue picking the truck up. My issue came in after I brought the truck back. I didn't understand all the different charges that had accrued.

I give you my driver's license which has my photo my name my address you take a photo of the back of my driver's license you have my credit card it tells you my name my address and my card ID then you want a picture or names of people that I know I have gone through High School I have gone through grade school I've gone through the Marine Corps I have gone through public life I work for myself all my life I do not have friends because they want to borrow my truck bring it back dirty and no gas in it I don't need friends like that I don't have any relatives I am 77 years old I have no brothers or sisters my parents are dead my uncles my aunts are dead I have no one in my life I am not married I do not have children I don't need the aggravation of a woman bothering me for her life support systems that she needs I am a very independent self-motivated financially independent person you have lost a customer for life I have given you seven past years of honorable paying customer and you lost this customer. MELVIN JMy experience was beyond horrible. I initially had a reservation for Saturday November 30th, however U-haul failed to have a truck ready for me. I called and spoke with multiple people because I had a pick up scheduled for furniture scheduled the same day. They stated that they didn't have a U-Haul within 30 miles of my location. I scheduled another U-Haul for that Sunday December 1st and I had issues picking it up again. I called the customer service line and the representative got it fixed for me to pick up the truck. I went through everything to get it as far as scanning my id, signing everything, making sure payment info was correct, just to receive codes to a lock box that contained no keys. Not to mention all 4 of the lock boxes were open with no keys in them. A sign was placed on the window that stated "be back shortly. Apologies for any inconveniences." I called back to report the issue and informed them that this was day 2 of them inconveniencing me. The customer service representative told me yet again there were no other U-Hauls available within 30 miles of my location. Not to mention there were more than 5 trucks on the lot each time I called. I would've taken a bigger one or a smaller one, but nope that wasn't an option. My card was already charged and it looked as if I had a truck that I didn't even have the keys to. This has cost me to lose money elsewhere because I had to readjust to make it fit in on other days. U-Haul gave me a credit for the first inconvenience on Saturday, but completely dismissed the inconvenience on Sunday. In which both cases were solely due to U-Haul. I was still charged and never received an apology or another credit. The general manager was contacted, but they have failed to reach back out as well. The lady that I spoke with upon receiving the U-Haul on Monday December 2nd was completely dismissive. Also being very unsanitary by wiping blood from her face on my paperwork. Instead reprinting the receipt she proceeded to try to hand me the paper. I have never in my life had such poor customer service with a company.

HENRY CAvailable equipment agreed upon per contract and solidified with my credit card credentials. Proper notations, detailed notations so customers do not have to repeat themselves. Verbal agreements without supporting notations becomes stressful to prove. 欄 Vital information is often lost when direct communication is broken. Standing in front of the U-Haul representative and they just walk off as you are discussing your current contract is a bit disrespectful and rude. Of course, my contract was incorrect. If equipment is out for repair, please update your computer system "Notations, notations notations". U-Haul can honor the contract and the customer isn't forcibly liable financially because of U-Haul caused delays; my personal experience.

KARAM BI called 2 days prior to needing a truck to reserve this 10' box truck. I was told it would be ready at 10am at the Evans St location in Florence. When I arrived, I was told there was no truck there and that Inwouldnhave to drive to this location on the other side of town to get a truck. WHAT THE HELL?!!! PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS WORST!!!!! THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AT UHAUL. NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN!!!!

I at first could not find where my storage unit was as there are so many and I called the number on my paperwork but I got an agent who had to them connect me to the actual store. The store didn't even answer the phone but by that time I had walked around and found my unit. But other than that and the the fact there is kind of no one around to help you, you're kind of on your own, it was a good experience. I also got the same un around! I got booked to another storage facility and not the one I was dropping my truck off at but it was fixed so that's fine

I got really stressed when I first arrived and found that the storage I thought was on the first floor (or at least had an elevator) was actually on the second floor. It was impossible for us to get heavy stuff up the stairs. Bret's team got me on the first floor and Bret was very accommodating. I will recommend this place based on Bret's service. I would recommend people work for Bret. I consider him the first friendly face in my new home town. Thanks Bret!

He yells at me when i come to pay my bill almost every time because im always confused as why are there new charges on my account every three months i have been dealing with this company for over 3 years they made my experience a headache as a matter of fact, i didnt leave my storage they discontinued my storage after this last time the employees broke into it the sad thing is that they have camera s but no one knows anything. I dont reccomend this storage to anyone in the area of florence and the young lady with the serious overbite at the sales counter was equally as rude. I hate uhaul. Ill never deal with them again. Im contemplating consulting an attorney after being wrongfully evicted. Serious interpersonal skills are needed for this location and vigorous training is definitely the way they should go. On a scale from 1-10 i give uhaul -6points

The lights on the floor did not come on so it made me very uncomfortable to walk towards my unit because it was dark. The alarm sounded each time you open your unit. That was unnerving because I didn't know if there was an emergency and to exit the building.The unit appeared smaller than advertised. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Rudell A | Premières impressionsWhen I arrived, the unit I had reserved online was not available. Full disclosure, my reservation was for Saturday; 3/28, but I did not check in until Sunday, 3/29. The online system and the store location did not have the same information. The unit I reserved was not available. A 10x10 unit was recommended which I took at the higher rate. During my move in, the storage room was barely able to hold my belongings. I wasn't able to fit everything in the storage unit and ended up having to secure other means of storage. Overall, make sure the online system is up to date. Also, the cashier did give a discount because of the inconvenience; however, the lack of space in the unit recommended by the gentlemen was insufficient.

Only to be told the unit I reserved still had merchandise from previous client. I was told by a rude African American, very unprofessional at the job that she spoke with the manager and I would have to come back after the client moved their belongings out. Of course this was not okay with me so she involved Larry which seems like he has to handle everything. Several customers waiting to be served and 3 employees, Larry being one and the only one trying to help everyone. He took me and got me a unit and I was able to move my stuff in. Thankful he was there. Oh,and I was told I got a free month for the inconvenience but they were doing that anyway for all renters....overall turned out okay.

James J | Premières impressionsLarry (Irby St. Florence, SC) was very helpful in finding the size storage unit to fit my needs. He walked us through the building and let us see actual units that were available and allowed me to choose between those. I wanted one on ground level, however one wasn't available but he located one that was right at the top of the stairs with a large door for easier access to load and unload large pieces of furniture. He was very polite and courteous. He answered any questions that I had even prior to me asking them. After renting the unit, he walked us back over to explain to us how to use the access key and then showed me how to put the lock on the door that I was also able to purchase from him. Excellent experience if you're needing a storage unit.
