App way too cumbersome. Did not work. Don't have time for all that work (to be done by the customer)! Ended up just going to the counter took 2 minutes. Grumpy worker, but got my truck. Your pricing still nickel and dimes the customer. Trying Hertz down the road next time.

Online check in was awful. The first truck wasn't there, the 2nd truck wasn't ready and then the 3rd finally was. The employees at the location were great and were literally running around for me. It's the online system that was bad and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Thanks .

I pre registered and instead of taking me right away they took a bunch of unregistered people and I was in line for 40 minutes. If your going to advertise pre registration takes half the time you need to prioritize pre registration so more people do it. Very disappointed

When I arrived, stood at the counter for about 5 minutes. I noticed that someone was sitting at the last counter obstructed by stacks of boxes and seemed like he was on break (was on his personal phone browsing). When I finally decided to approach him to ask if I am at the right counter, instead of apologizing for not helping he kept clicking around on his phone and said "yes?". Very unprofessional throughout the rental process. Handed the paperwork to me and started walking away without asking if I have any questions. I said, "excuse me, but I have a question" he kept walking away and said "what's up?" at this point he was about 10 feet away looking at another area and no other customers. That's when I said, "what do you mean 'what's up?" he walked back and said, "yes?". I asked him where my rental is parked, he explained where it was and explained how to identify my rental. I am only going into some details here just to give an idea on how rude and unprofessional he was. Return experience was excellent - the person (different gentleman) was courteous. This is my second rental experience at this location, both times it appeared that this location is doing you a favor by renting trucks. Both times, I asked for box size of the truck to see if an item will fit and they only gave an "maybe/possibly". Shouldn't they have measurements handy or try a little better to help the customer? They recommended I get a 15' truck to be able to fit a 10' long object (turns out, the box was 11 feet 10 inches in the shortest area).

Worst experience ever. I have no idea how U-Haul runs as a company. I have been a customer for ten years, but the past few month's experiences has been so frustrating and stressful that I will never, ever work with U-Haul again.

The lot is too small & congested, another trucker nearly crashed into my truck as I was returning my rental. The employee was great though so it was a good experience. You need a larger entry & exit space to accommodate the inflow & outflow of traffic .

They did not have the van I needed, so they gave me a truck. I asked to put insurance on it, and they put the "savemove" rather than the "safemove plus" option (Note: safemove is the max insurance on van but not on a truck - and I only found out about all this later). There were several spots of truck damage prior to me driving the uhaul off the lot but I was in a rush to pick up appliances as the store was closing and I did not have time to take pre-trip pictures. When I returned the vehicle, they charged me >$1000 for damages I did not perform and created a faulty damage report. Do NOT go to this location, I have been using Uhaul for years and have never had such a horrible experience!

The service was top notch. The only complaint that I have is that they were not wearing masks when I picked up and when I dropped off. I interacted with 3 employees and none of them had masks on. That was the only thing that stopped me from rating this Excellent.

Fix the app. It did not select a rentable truck. Endeded up going inside to have reps manually pick a truck. Access to the store is unsafe. The driveway is too close to a major intersection. Open up one of the driveway access around the corner.

Better cust support I placed order online also spoke with customer service over phone verification of all info covered on day of pick up I had to Uber to 2 locations stating U-haul attempted to contact me with some other phone number so I had no truck. I needed a one-way and ended up having to return truck back to Forest park and Uber it to Orland hills which cost me apx 50 some dollars in addition to the other 2 Ubers I had to take. This is not the first time U-haul had let me down. You could of sent me an email on a scale of 1-10 I give U a 5 If it wasn't for Sam at the Forest Park location I don't know what I would have done

My uhaul was not ready and not even open at the time of my set up i originally had it for pick up in lyons snd the guy was rude and said i was lied to even though my booking said different the i called the corporate number was told sorry and only had a smaller truck than i originally ordered abd had to go to this forest park location overall just a horrible experience when you are trying to move and had it all set up then everything gets changed the day of

The drop-off experience is awful. After hours, tried to use the app, which functioned poorly. Having to turn on location services to verify you're at the right location is inane. Do you really have people dropping at the wrong location? Just a pain after a long and challenging day of moving.

Nothing for that U-Haul location. However, I would want to make a review for U-Haul as a company in its entirety. I reserved a truck at a different location at which I was forced to pick the location at 801 S. HARLEM AVE. I originally reserved a truck at the Lyons, IL location and there were no trucks available at all. When I spoke to the location manager, he said that none of his trucks had been returned in 5 days. How did U-Haul allow me to reserve a truck at a location where trucks had not been returned for 5 days? It was a ridiculous experience. And I wasted 2 hours of my day trying to call U-Haul directly and being put on hold for 30 minutes each time I called. U-Haul needs to have better communication with their third party agents. I'm glad that the U-Haul location that had the truck I needed was accommodating to me despite the mess I went through. But I will not be using U-Haul in the future for my moving needs. I will not recommend your services to any friends or family either until communication and customer service is improved.

There’s a serious mouse infestation!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! There was mouse droppings and pee all over my things! I had to throw away almost half of the things in my unit because they were completely ruined. And the price they were charging at this location was outrageous!!! I moved to a different uhaul location that’s way nicer and climate controlled for $80 less! Over all I was HIGHLY disappointed with the forest park location and WOULD NOT recommend anyone to go there.

The storage facility smells so incredibly bad. I'm not sure if it's the smell of mice excrement or the smell of the poison trying to kill the mice, but either way it made me want to throw up every single time I went in there. Plus, now our belongings smell that same terrible smell now that we've taken them out, despite multiple cleanings. Furthermore, we had NO food whatsover, yet mice still chewed threw our things. We had to throw many of them out. This was such a terrible experience!
