Front passenger side tire was down about 25psi, had to add tire pressure before I could get started.Matthew L.
I had a major issue with a trailer hitch rental, and the manager, Sandy, at the Fox Valley facility went above and beyond to rectify it for me. I was majorly impressed after having quite a few disappointments that could have cost me quite a bit of money I didn't have. There were some unfortunate errors made, but then Sandy fixed the issue to the absolute best of her ability and I'm so grateful. Thank you, Sandy!MEGAN D.

Unfortunately they didn't have my dolly to rent offered to me to purchase one then sent me to another location to get one just put me so far behind on my moving time due to the inconvenienceCharlotte H.
The mobile app is horrible. I tried 5 times to use the app to return the van I rented. Several times I finally got to the section to upload a picture of the mileage and the app wouldn't upload it. I finally gave up and had to pay the service fee because I wasn't able to return the next day to have the issue rectified.Darlene N.

The service was excellent. Sandra called after my initial time slot and asked to move it a little later (no problem). I arrived early( 6:00 am) to drop car off on way to work. Sandra was just getting there and offered to take my keys and let me go on my way. They don't even open till 7 or 8 am. She couldn't of been nicer!Timothy M.

Gas Petal got stuck vehicle has 99k on it good thing I could place it in neutral otherwise I would have hit somebody. good thing I only needed the truck for 12 miles. Otherwise it would have been a BIG ISSUEâ€¦George H.

My experience with this storage facility was a positive one from the day I moved my things in until the day I moved out. I especially appreciated the after hours access to the facility and the climate control feature of my unit. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Your mobile check in and return process really needs to be revamped, When I tried to check in via the mobile app, I got as far as getting the keys and then could go no further. I could not upload the milage, gas gauge, tell the service that there was no dolly or moving pads. Sorry, but as a DIR of IT and manager of a Development group, yours lacks. On return, it should tell you per site where they want the trucks returned (yes a large undertaking but needed) as well as where to put the keys. (Not just Drop box) because each location is different it is a pain to find them.Patrick C.

I specifically chose to drop on in joliet, yet you automatically changed the drop off back at your place. Forcing me to add an hour of travel time as well as pay you more for miles used and the amount of gas i spent to replenish the truck. If drop off is chosen at the time of reservation it should NOT be changed after the fact especially not without the concent of the reserver. Thats rediculous and rude.Rosalio A.

Customer service over the phone is extremely poor. I was led to believe I had a 2 year warranty on the phone and after harness replacement work was done I was told I had no warranty and need to pay the full amount. Truck was absolutely the worst. The driver side mirror shock so bad you could not even use it and made such a loud noise while driving. The header in tue truck looked moldy as water clearly was an issue prior to what appeared to be a newer window. It road so rough and the seats were terrible. I drove this over 400 miles and was beat up after. I would not recommend renting from UHaul as this was the second time the truck was simply terrible and kot road worthy. The team at the location were good. I gave over 3 weeks notice by reserving on line that gave estimated miles that should have been seen and the only one was this price of junk.Lance R.

I want be using uhual anymore due to them over charging me. I did not get my free month. They charge me for gas for $26 and I already restored gas in the truck to where it was when I picked it up. I was charge for extra 30 miles on a truck and I didn't even used the 30 miles I had with my contract. I know I drove 22 miles on that truck! The pick up point was 2,6 miles from my home. From my home to storage was 16,5 miles. I stopped at metro storage with is along Odgen , which was not even a mile. I don't take kindly to someone stealing from me. I felt like I got stolen from when I was charge for gas and additional 30 miles. I replaced that dam gas and I didn't even use the 30 miles that was on my contract. It took 2 hours 2 just get the unit I arranged online. I came with paperwork and payment. The woman who was suppose 2 help us, was problably high. Moved at the pace of a sloth. We told her we wanted 2 go look at our unit. Adfitionally, asked about any problems or things left over from the online process. She sent us upstairs. No key card (which I found out later was needed 2 avoid the alarm). I asked if there was anything else. She said no. Went upstairs 2 see the unit. There was a lock on it. Paged downstairs. They had my fiancee go downstairs. 10 minutes later, the same woman comes upstairs. Laughs 2 herself and points 2 a different unit. Says u can use this one and walks away. I open the unit and the alarm goes off. So I yell 2 this woman that is still walking towards the elevator. What about the alarm. She mumbles something about a key card with out even looking back at me or stopping, continues on. I buzz downstairs. They tell me they will turn off the alarm. I finish with the unit. Lock it up. The alarm goes off again. At this point, i am very disatisfied and angry. I go downstairs. My fiancee is working wirh this same woman. Moving like a sloth. I point 2 the owner and say i need 2 talk 2 u after u finish with who u have. I recognise it was busy, but at this point, I had been there 4 an hour and a half. He finished and i told him i was dissatisfied. He started working on the issue. The woman said they just said they wanted 2 look at the unit, i didn't know they wanted 2 do anything else. I guess she thought i wanted 2 stare at a unit i reserved online. Which makes no sense 2 me. She contended that i wasn't specific. She also sat in front of the computer and didn't help anyone else until the manager told her 2. She didn't get out of the screen we were in, until her manager told her he couldn't work on our stuff until she did. The reason i don't know her name is because she flipped her name badge. Additionally, the other employee told me 2 shut up. Said it was thier store and told me i was speaking loudly. I don't yell. I was direct and sort of insulting. However, i was treated poorly in the first place. This other employee also kept glaring at me. The owner then proceeded 2 work on the key badge. Ended up doing it twice because he messed up the first time. Then rang me up. I again paid 4 the unit. I am also renting a van today. I asked about that. No problem. The process took 2 hours. No apology was given or anything else. If i didn't need 2 vacate my elderly father's apartment today, i would have walked out. I needed storage and a van 2 take care of the issue. I had less than a week 2 do it. I thought your agency could help me because it had both. I dred going back today 4 the van. I understand the facility was busy, but doung a poor job and half assing a situation leads 2 these kinds of problems. There was no attempt at customer service. Just more and more insults. I have worked as a cashier before and while things are busy. I have sympathy 4 that issue. What i don't is poor customer service and wasting my time. I run a very successful business, as does my fiancee. So i understand business. Niether one of us could get away with this type of behavior and stay in business. I figure most of your customers are like me, dealing with a personal emergency and don't have a choice. Maybe your staff could do with learning some compassion, empathy and real customer service. I opened my first storage unit, # 1028, in 2003 and my second storage unit, # 1047, in 2009. Over the years both units have met all of the storage needs of me and my family. In 2018 my wife and I were moving to a new home and moved some additional items into 1047 until the move was complete. After the move we didn't have time to clear the units until 7/14/2022. Upon opening unit #1047 to begin the clearing process. At this point we discovered that multiple sets of golf clubs which were stored here in 2018 were missing. The lock was not damaged and no one in my family had them. I can only assume that someone was able to pick the lock, take the clubs and relock the unit without damage. Every staff member I've met has been courteous. It's not an easy job dealing with customers who are in the middle of moving, packing, etc as we know tensions are high during this time. So, thank you to all staff that dealt with trying customers immediately before my turn and were able to "start fresh" with me every time I needed assistance from them. My only concern was the elevator. We always made sure one of us had a cell phone with us at all times for fear of the elevator malfunctioning. Thankfully nothing bad ever happened, but the sounds, speed (felt we were at a standstill and the door just wasn't triggering to open), and the jolts were enough to ensure we should be prepared.Tanya C. | Expérience générale

Your employee Bryan was trying to charge me an extra month of storage despite me moving out the day payment was due. He insisted on my debit card to supposedly return a $139 payment that was supposedly already withdrawn. - even though i didnt have that amount in my bank account. After calling my bank they assured me uhaul has no authority to withdraw money from my account. I dont appreciate the misleading information from an employee trying to trick me into handing over my debit card. He made me wonder if employees were defrauding customers this way. I had a storage locker there for 10 years. I also had 2 trailer hitches installed on my vehicles at the Rt 49 Auroa IL location. Tammy, Sandra and the rest of the staff are excellent. On my move-out, I used Uboxes. Tammy called and confirmed the time with me and made sure they were onsite when I arrived. She even personally walked over twice during my move to make sure everything was going well then made sure I locked them up properly for transport.
