Upon moving out I realized they had broken all my dishes. Scratched up my bedroom set and dining room table. I'm pretty certain one of my TVs were removed from my unit. Whether I was 1 day or 15 days they would call numerous times a day. I had to inform the previous property manager of the FDCA because she was rude on top of aggravating. The new people were polite and helpful. Overall I would definitely never use this location again and I live twenty minutes from there.

CIERRIA DUDLEY was very helpful and friendly. The only problem I encountered was I had to leave and go to bank to get cash because I had a visa card and I was in a u-Haul truck that cost me extra mileage. When I called U haul the person I talked to did not tell me or I could have got cash to pay. It was not Ms.Dudley .

I checked vehicle in through app. A random person approached me asking for the keys and when I explained that I was being instructed to leave them in the drop box he was extremely rude. I gave him the keys and also took a picture of him in the case of something being amiss and he in return called me a "crazy bitch" Very unprofessional

We were exhausted; dropped off with NOBODY at location!! If it weren't for Mr. James (Manager from the location we 'picked-up' from).. we would not have dropped off, as it was unclear that it would be safe to leave the trailer! I am a LONG time Uhaul renter, but this experience truly turned me off!

My whole Uhaul experience was horrible not with the specific location where my husband and I picked up the truck but we did have a issue with pickup location as well. At pick up everything was running smoothly until we paid was informed the truck was down street on the side and it was, informed the agents in store the truck wasn't where they said it was and had to waste additional time for them to finish other people transaction at the register although we paid first and felt as we got pushed back to the end of the line with having to wait again my husband was even more upset because he had to walk down the street with an appliance dolly in the cold. Uhaul change our reservation from the original location to another one and the location they changed it to no one showed up to work. Which they had to find us another location to pick up from. Drop off location was also horrible we got storage unit at the drop off location finish unloading everything and couldn't check in the truck which was at 4:09 pm store didn't close until 10pm the agent at drop off told us when we finish unloading put truck on top of the hill and bring the key to check in but he was gone, left note said he'll be back in 20 mins we sat and waoted over 20 mins which turned to 40 to 1hr. I call the phone to store which wa routed to the agent phone we assured us he had to leave and pick up his daughter from school and on his way back and was on a specific street which wasn't far. Second time when I call he told us to pit the key on the back of the truck and when he return he'll check it back in. That didn't never happen. I did call the following day reported the issue his manager Cierra went ahead and got the truck checked in, said the agen had a family emergency which no one in management was notified of and she was going to get on him. Not only did my Uhaul experience affect my husband and I but it affected other customers as well that sat outside waiting on the agent to return back which he didn't and they couldn't even get a truck to move. We sat a goal to have our keys returned back to our rental company before they close that Friday which didn't happen because Uhaul delayed our time through out that day. Never had a bad experience until 12/29/23 with renting with the company. Moving isn't easy nor a cake walk and U-haul didn't make easier on our part which should have been less stressful. To improve is to make sure your agents want to work, professional with assisting customers and don't overlook a customer after they paid they money and call for backup to upper management to have someone to fill your shift if a family emergency was to occur.

Made improper charges to my card for fuel, ths truch was returned with 1/4 tank as the contract required. I was to tod to leave the truck and the attendant did not go over the truck with my. I will n I'll tide my bank to reverse these charges. I took a picture of tbs dash at the return facility with milage, and fuel. This is very bad customer support when fraudulent charges are made to my bank card without approval.. Michael Moore

The inside of the UHaul in the back where you load your belongings was filthy with a DEAD COCKROACH in it. I had to sweep it out before I could load anything. The place was closed when I turned the truck in with no prior notice or note onthe door and I came back 3hrs early.

The trailer was clean, but, No tail lights, NO BLEAKERS, NO TONG LIFT. ALSO TRYING TO LOG IN ON YOUR SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO.

Service was great. Staff was extremely friendly and timely. However, my rental did not have air and driving over 400 miles in a day was harsh. Unfortunately I was in a bind and there was nothing available within 50 miles. Have the maintenance crew come service the trucks often would be my suggestion, it shouldn't fall back on staff to have to deal with mad customers bc of the unfortunate.

I reserved a trailer for 12:15. I showed up and hooked up to the only trailer available at 12. It took the workers until 1:20 to let me leave because it wasn't the right trailer & no one in charge would answer the phone so that I could leave with the trailer they had.

I'm a serious glamper/camper. I "reserved" a truck with U-Haul in Fultondale, AL to pull my trailer for an out of town camping trip, when I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told I couldn't use my debit card that I had "always used with them for everything I'd done with them". I was devastated, because I was prepared to hit the highway from Uhaul.. Also, My trailer was broken into while parked there "inside their supposedly secured gated area" and a lot of my possessions were stolen, and as far as the head administration was concerned it was "Oh well, sorry about that", and nothing was done. They said their insurance don't cover it. 郎. I have my trailer insured but I was then told by State Farm that it's included in my renters insurance with a thousand dollar deductible. So, not only did I have to repurchase all the things that were stolen out of my trailer, I also had to out of pocket pay for the repairs to my trailer door. U-Haul made not one attempt in their power to accommodate, and when I asked, they would not even grant to waive me at least one free month's rental fee, but instead they increased my rental price. In spite of all this, I continued to faithfully pay U-Haul. Then one day I finally decided to remove my trailer and cancel my rental, not even mid-month, July 13th, with more days remaining of paid unused rental left, I was told I would not receive a prorated refund. I feel I received a great injustice regarding my entire dealings with U-Haul and hope never to have "any" dealing with them ever again. 爛….And no, per my experience I don't recommend them to anyone. 

Pick up location was changed 4 times. I was told equipment was not returned was the reason. Fultondale pick up location was 35 minutes from my home in the opposite direction of my move. When I arrived for Pick up there was a sign " back in 20 minutes". Thankfully I did not wait that long. Frustrating experience!

Very disappointed upon discovering the belings in my unit were covered by tiny bugs, often referred to a no-see-ums or chiggers. I'd not had such issues at any other site, voiced my concerns and options given by management was to move closer to the office or up on hill into back of an "empty moving truck." I was crushed, these items belonged to my recently deceased mother. This misstep in entrusting the Fultondale location with memories brought further disparity to my mourning, suffering and depression. Months later I spoke with another site rep (after coming out of my depression, but back into one of the same hills that pushed me there, bugs inside and on my meticulous, but deceased mother's prize belongs. This time I was told uhaul could "spray and put down something for rats." Rats?梁 Wabting to "see" this newly offered option at work, I agree, we met and in my mind it's a newly added disaster inside a pump sprayer, welded by a helpful, non-vested employee, for what we both knew was NOT a valid answer. She did however mention after I stopped her spraying along interior wall, in addition to splatters now on my furniture (although accidental) that a climate controlled build was coming to that location. Which sounded nice but I could not endure another warm climate awaiting "a new building" unless she could convince the existing bugs to move out and the new bugs soon to invade my unit. These bugs bite and make accessing belongings difficult. Thus my primary reason for vacating your Fultondale location. I would NEVER recommend it for storage purposes due to the mental distress and heartache it has caused me. Nothing worse than throwing away "memories" I had intended to keep, now teaming with bugs I could never fully remove without incurring furniture repair or upholstery expenses. I detest this uhaul location greatly. If I could I convince all others to move out as well. Really considering buying my own facility due to my heartbreaking experience at this location.

The staff is so fun and friendly. I had a heck of a time trying to back up the trailer and the woman patiently helped me back it into the spot correctly!!!!! I appreciate her so much for being so calm with me while I was so nervous!

I will never rent from U-Haul again. It was a terrible experience that greatly inconvenienced my move. I drove around trying to get a truck for 2hrs. My reservation was for a 7:30 am pick-up, and I did not get a truck until around 9:30 am after being told to drive to four different locations. I did not get the size truck I reserved or the equipment to go with it. I am amazed at how terrible and unorganized this whole experience was for this to be such a huge company.

First, the reservation wasn't even fulfilled and got a nasty, sticky replacement that was absolutely on empty when they gave it to me. Spent 30mins cleaning and when I turn it in they had the audacity to charge me $25 cleaning fee (standard, they say). "Standard" is not what I'd call them.

Storage was great- but I am still not sure why the cost of storage went up $5-10 *every* year automatically. I understand inflation, but the additional costs made this unaffordable over time. I was more than happy with staffing, accessing storage unit, etc., but not sure the cost was worth it at the end - as the price was double what I began paying for receiving the exact same service.

My responses should be tempered by the fact that this location had a tornado blow through it and my storage unit was partially affected. However, this property has issues with the front gates regularly which meant very limited access when I seemed to need it most. Also, in an effort to keep the site clean they use leaf blowers which serve to send whatever dirt, dust and detritus into the the storage units covering the front 5 feet of our stuff with this. The staff was generally nice - some more than others - and generally helpful. I would recommend this place for the surrounding community only for belongings that are hardy or do not require special handling of any kind or are completely sealed in boxes.

Rented a van body. The structure was leaking moderate bits of water onto our stuff. I was told that since I didn't pay extra money for additional insurance there was nothing they could do. Would of been better off just piling my stuff in a yard with a tarp over it. What's the point in renting storage units if they won't even guarantee that it will stay dry. Or even try to keep it dry. To clarify it was not storm damage. Just basic rain and pollen. Worst experience ever. Will not recommend UHaul or being using UHaul again.

After my dry furniture was only in your storage facility for 3-4 months, it was covered In mold & mildew! It was dry the day it was moved in. Never had this problem before. But this time this facility ruined my only furniture!

The only problem I had was when the tornado came through last year, I emailed and emailed the manager to see if my unit was damaged and NOT ONCE received a response. I think that is poor customer service, especially since the facility isn't that big. The manager should have personally contacted each customer to ease our mind that our thing (family heirlooms, in mine) were safe and intact.

The staff was not overly friendly, from the first impression to the very last image we had. The grounds could have been swept up. I noticed a lot of debris on the ground, which I feared running over with my car.

On move in day there were 2 large crates left in front of your unit that hindered our unloading of furniture. As well the gate being broken hindered our ability to have access later that evening to finalize our move, therefore we had to unload our last items the next day.

We stored our travel trailer there, but they put a bunch of truck bed boxes in that storage area that made it difficult to maneuver the trailer so we had to relocate. Sorry we had to go as it was very convenient and Sara was great to work with.

Constant issues trying to get a functioning storage unit. I understand due to the tornado it can be chaotic. But some of the units had stuff moved in and we had to keep moving from one to another. Man working there told us we could have access 24/7, but did not tell us the gates had to be manually locked at 5 pm and you couldn't get in past that. He locked up about ten minutes early and told us we couldn't move my stuff in, tried to explain that there was nowhere to take the stuff as I have moved out and no longer had access to put the stuff back. He didn't care, even though we would've been there a lot earlier if the initial moving in the first round didn't take over an hour because unit after unit didn't work out until we got to the fifth unit. I had no choice but to leave my stuff on a trailer outside where I lost about $500 worth of furniture due to rain. I've never experienced such horrible customer service before and doubt once I move my stuff out, I'll ever come back to this location again.

I have about $5000 worth of stuff missing. Mirrors, expensive luggage, boxes of beauty stuff, my jewelry some of which was inherited. My unit had 2 doors. They waited a week after I put my stuff in storage to tell me it had 2 doors. The worker told me they went in but never in a million years would I have expected them to steal from me!!!!! Highly upset and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!

I moved items into this storage facility almost 5 years ago, I can do anything but say the facility was well kept. My items were just as I placed them there five years ago. Access to the property was convenient, and the staff was more than accommodating. I give praise for your staff.

The parking lot is always full of screws, I picked up 10+ just in front of my unit a couple of days ago and took them into the office. Tires aren't cheap.
