Took 1 hour to check out . The young man was definitely untrained as they were on FaceTime with their boss the whole time . I don't really have a problem with that . My issue was the automation that kept sending me messages that I didn't get my rental ( even though I did ) Couple that when I finally got the trailer , he was unable to hook it up to my vehicle … so I stepped in and hooked it up … A lot of nuisance things . Probably annoyed because the last time I used you , y'all had issues with the system then too . Time is money . Yall should have only charged me a day or some kind of discount . This isn't to say I won't be a customer … because if I am in need I will be reaching out to you … I just wish yall would do better

JAMES MThe reason I rented a truck from UHaul was to deliver Hurricane Helene relief supplies. I wanted to rent a truck from my hometown in Gadsden and drop it off in or near Asheville, NC after I made the delivery. Renting the truck was no problem. The manager in Gadsden was extremely helpful and even donated some boxes for the trip. The issue that I had was being able to determine where, in or near Asheville, that I could return the truck. I had to make 4-6 phone calls to UHaul before I could determine a drop off location. Apparently, UHaul centers do not have the ability to make that determination. I think that UHaul should do something to ease this situation for future customers. In the end, I was able to drop the truck off at the Sweeten Creek Road location in Asheville. The manager there was also very helpful. I have rented UHaul trucks for many many years to move my personal furniture, my kids furniture, and other peoples' belongings, and now, to make a trip of disaster relief materials for those in need in Asheville, North Carolina after the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene. I have always had a good experience renting from UHaul. Keep up the good work!

CLINT DAlthough my experience involved damage to my possessions due to damage to an outer wall I was impressed with the management and how they handled the situation. The manager was very professional and vital in resolving the claim with the insurance company. I thank her for her assistance and appreciate all her attention to the matter.

JEMEKA BI called the Uhaul customer service number to reserve a 20' truck for my recent move from TN to AL. I was elated to hear that a climate controlled storage unit was available with my first month's rent free at the drop off location I had chosen to return the truck. Upon arrival to the Uhaul location in Gadsden, I was greeted by Kimberly and another Uhaul associate. Kimberly was such a huge help to me and I am so thankful to her and for all that she did to help me during this stressful time. However, upon unloading the truck, I quickly realized that the climate controlled units are not very "climate controlled" at all. The thermostat read 85 degrees on this particular day for the inside temperature and was set on 75 degrees. I was very disappointed to know that my belongings were going to have to stay in such hot conditions and I will be expected to pay $30 more than other climate controlled units in this area. I wanted and needed a climate controlled unit before moving back to AL and I also wanted and needed this unit to protect my family pictures, candles, children's toys, and vintage furniture. Now, I am very concerned that my belongings are going to deteriorate while being exposed to such hot conditions over a long period of time. It has been extremely hot outside lately in AL but that should make it even cooler inside the storage units. There is not even a hint of cool fresh air when you enter the climate controlled storage area. I was under the impression that climate controlled storage should be maintained between 70 to 75 degrees year round, hot or cold. I only wish I could have known about this issue before hand as this would have made a huge impact on my final decision about where I rented a climate controlled storage unit.

Rocio VHaley and "trainee" were very uneducated and told many lies. Manager called the police (some never showed up, she was on the phone, speaker phone ant that) and we still don't understand why. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! However, she did try to correct it when we got there the next day by removing a "late fee" off of our account but money was NEVER the issue. Because of this issue that occurred I closed my storage, my mom will be removing her storage and closing her account today and my sister will be doing the same! I've been using this uhaul location for years but never again!

The manager said it was probably a lose wire and attempted to fix, however they couldn't get the cover off the light. She called another U-Haul location, and sent me there to get a trailer. She told them I was in a hurry. I was frustrated that I had made a reservation and no one checked the equipment before I arrived.
paul wI've had the unit 10years. While the staff is excellent always giving prompt, professionally & courteous service I'm very dissatisfied in the rate of increase for my storage over the years. Granted the staff is great but there was NO NEED for the PRICE GOUGHING that Uhaul did. Especially after COVID.... I'll NEVER do storage with UHAUL AGAIN!!!!!!

Pondexter KWhen I picked up the trailer, the kid was checking his phone more than he was helping me. He also did not do a walk around of the trailer. When I returned it, he had me back the trailer on the side of the building. Again he's waving me back and looking at his phone. He never looked up. A young girl came out and yelled for me to stop. If she hadn't come out, I would have hit the building. It's sad all you can do is hire people like that.
John tThe truck did well but leg room is designed for a short person. I just had knee replacement surgery and my knee hurt from beginning to end.

Shona EThe 2 female employees that I spoke to when renting the truck and when I picked it up were great! The truck was dirty when I got in. The gas incorrect. They corrected the gas. Got into the truck after loading and the air conditioner wouldn't work. It finally came on in small short bursts but when I took the truck back it wasn't blowing at all. The guy who came out to check the truck in didn't speak and took his very slow sweet time. He didn't really even look up from his phone and I just hoped he was doing something to check the truck in. I showed him the air and he did not say a word. I asked the manager's name and he said it so low I had to ask him to repeat it. They went inside so after a minute, I followed them in. He handed me a new receipt. No one has reached out about the air being broken. I suggest you try a different location.

The door was locked and I had to walk 1/4 mile to the office to get an employee to unlock the door. She dis and we found other's belongings inside. We had to walk 1/4 mile back to the office to find an available unit. The 1/4 mile back to.oir vehicle to relocate to the new unit. The new unit had a malfunctioning slide mechanism that required a hammer to open and close. The online move in process is broken and cost me time and a lot of extra steps.

I'm over 60 and have issues going up and down stairs. I had a locker that I had to use rolling stairs to get into the locker. I asked 2 young workers if they could help me. I needed a little extra muscle to help me with the 2 containers I had in the locker. All they did was look at each other and say nothing. Needless to say I didn't get any help. I do hope those 2 enjoyed their lunch. I could understand if it goes against company policy to help, but they could at least have said something instead for just looking at each other. They too will be older one day and I hope they will have someone help them when they ask for help.

When I came to unload my items I was told to just let me know when you are done nothing about I had only one day to get my items out of storage even though I had already paid the month & was moving items out early. I will never use uhaul for storage ever again. I will also tell everyone I know what they did very unprofessional.

I reserved it for 2 months out. Took my information and confirmed the reservation, but didnt book the storage unit and make it unavailable for someone else. Called customer service and the agent was not helpful. Spoke to manager and cleared things up. We'll see.

This is very dangerous for older people. I didn't know that it would be so hard to load and unload the storage unit. I wish that I would have been told so that I could have found another place to store things. I had to hire younger people to load and unload due to the danger of climbing the stairs.
