I do not have any recommendations! My experience was more than I expected. Check in and return was easy and the U haul personnel were so nice! The rental equipment I ordered for moving was like new! The facility in Guilford was new, clean, and COVID sensitive. Thank you for your service.

I needed to use UHaul's roadside assistance and waited on hold for 25 minutes. If you need assistance this timeframe is totally unacceptable. I don't know if I would use UHaul again because of this.

I returned the truck after office was closed - the myuhaul.com did not find me even with contract number and i had to go back in the morning to complete drop off as i was unclear on where to leave the key without getting into the system

I placed a call to reserve a 20+ foot box truck and the woman who answered was very polite and I was able to get the truck I needed set in a short, easy time frame. I asked about an alternate driver and was told, oh, that's very easy, when you get the confirmation email, just go to the edit button and add the name of the person who will be the additional driver. When I went to do this, I had to, in essence, go through the reservation process all over. Despite the link being sent to me from U-Haul for my reservation, when I opened the link, the only aspect of my reservation was the reservation number. I had to enter all of the information I had given to the lady on the phone and then, despite what I was told, I couldn't just add the alternate driver's name, I had to enter all of their information, birth date, driver's license number etc.. Had I known I'd need all that I would have had it set before hand.. however, in the time it took me to get that info, the page timed out and I had to go back and re-enter all of my information again. In that information, it asked APPROXIMATELY how many hours we would need the truck. I wrote 8. We picked the truck up at 7AM and returned at 5PM, the same day, granted that is 10 hours, however, we were charged for two days of rental for the truck. Wasn't made aware that we'd be hit for two days. I guess in order to make things a better experience, prepare people for the additional charges and what they will have to deal with on the reservation site, not just a couple easy clicks.

Staff was excellent and always pays. The whole experience was great. The only issue was the app did not find my location so I was unable to confirm I was outside. I had to walk inside. No big deal but the app didn't work.

I rented the Chevy Silverado and the auto hauler trailer to pick up a Volvo v70 wagon probably as long a car as you're going to get and everything from the loading of the vehicle tying down of the vehicle was super easy. The truck had no problems pulling the trailer and The ride was smooth. Highly recommend

I was sent to this location after the Clinton location, where my original reservation was, had an older model auto transport that had a screw in one tire and another tire only holding 10 psi. The auto transport trailer at the Guilford location was newer, clean, and had new tires on it. It towed great. All 3 employees that I dealt with at Guilford were informative and helpful.

I had to wait a half hour when picking up my vehicle because the employee helping me could not locate the key. I had to wait for the general manager to become available to figure out the issue. The employees handling customer interactions did not seem to know the ins and outs of the system they were using. This should be fixed.

i made a reservation to pick up the truck at 8. it said to arrive 10 minutes early which i did. when i got there, there was one employee cleaning a truck and no one came to help me. finally i went to her and showed her what the online app had reserved for me. the truck wasn't ready and needed to be cleaned. so i had to wait another 20 minutes. didn't leave until 8:30 and was late for where i needed to be.

Website for after hours return does not work. I've rented 2 trucks in 6 months and both times the site didn't register my location. Location services were enabled on my phone as required. Sadly, I got charged extra for after hours drop off. A fee for this is just poor customer service. Everything else about my experience is great.

Your employee installed the trailer on my vehicle and took a picture of it. The trailer hitch came off my 2" ball when the scooter was in the tail gate area. The trailer the hit my vehicle and dented and damaged the paint. When I was bringing the trailer back, I called them to explain what happened. The trailer hitch installer removed the trailer & manager came out. They agreed that the square piece that turns and the screw have been bent for sometime and needs to be replaced. Then said they would have to test further to try to recreate. No mention of compensation for repairing my vehicle. Also, trailer was never disconnected from my vehicle until that happened. Now, I had to file a claim with my own insurance company. Other then this incident, the people are nice. Just handled this wrong. The picture of my car will show no damage when they attached the trailer.

Maybe some better training on how to use your on line computer systems for new employees. We we checked in the manager had to constantly help the new employee as to how the computerized program worked. This probably took an extra 10-15 minutes from our ability to get on the road.

I used the App which is a disaster and waste of time. Even worse I was totally overcharged and I am disputing the charge and not paying. I was promised 19.95 a day and charged 79.00 plus the other ridiculous charges. Never again going back to Enterprise.

We noticed that the return lane seemed to have little bits of broken glass spread about (maybe a broken bottle that had been cleaned up?). We would have felt better if the area was free of glass. Other than that, the location was immaculate and our experience was excellent.

Helpful staff even though I was trying 24/7, I needed help. STaff came right out and helped. Returned truck and somehow had some trouble with the taking photo of odometer and fuel segment. Called main number, operator was professional, courteous, and efficient. I will definitely use UHAUL again adn recommend to friends.

When I enter the vehicle. ( around 3 pm ). I asked the Employee if it was okay to return tomorrow around 5 pm . He said. Sure no problem . Never was it mentioned to me that they would. Charge me more if I returned it after 24hrs . So when I returned the truck at 5 . The GM charged me. More . I mentioned this to him . And he could care less that it wasn't explained to me . He kept saying . You had the truck for more than 24 hrs - so we are charging you for it . Just tell your customers how you will be billed up front . And try a little harder not to be a complete a hole when you need to explain why you are charging more - it could have been avoided altogether with professional explaining up front .

Garren Keith and other associates were always ready to help when we asked. It appeared that Covid-19 protocols were observed by all staff members each time we visited. We used our storage locker as a temporary holding spot during our move from former to new residences in Guilford. The range of supplies available at the store gave us what we needed to protect belongings during the move. We'd certainly use the Guilford facility again when and if we needed it. We're also glad that UHaul found a way to fully utilize the former automobile dealer facility, thereby avoiding further community and zoning controversy that erupted when initial plans for a multi-story building resulted in local neighborhood resistance. Guilford and UHaul both came out ahead on this one! Jeff Freeman

Better trained/additional staffing at Guilford branch is needed . General Manager Garren Keith is EXCELLENT, but appears to spend most of his time helping less proficient staff complete their duties rather than managing. U-Haul is going to burn this gentleman out unless appropriate staffing issues are addressed.

Good, friendly employees at this location. Rented Truck for 4 hours. Called and asked to extend one hour if the truck was now being rented afterwards. Was told it would be extra $40. Bring penalized for being a good customer so UHaul can rent to more customers is not a good policy. In the future, I will rent all vehicles for 24 hours in the future and take my time returning.

We were called once and told our reservation for 8AM was messed up by a broken vehicle. I did not get that VM. I received no email. I found the voicemail and tried to call the night before. We tried to use the app and it changed our pickup time from 8AM to 3PM. The app, we were told by a Uhaul Customer service person, eliminates your scheduled pick up time for no apparent reason. Then, she hung up on us when we tried to understand why that would happen. She was not nice. So we were stranded without a van and no way to bring our son to college. We ran over to the facility where some nice guy hooked us up with a different van. So it turned what should be a very simple rental into a kind of a horrible experience.

Simple rental/check-in process. Location was clean and staffed with helpful people. Check-out was straight forward with no surprises. Would absolutely recommend the Guilford, CT U-Haul location for secure/convenient storage. Best of luck with the expansion...Guilford needs more personal/business services for residents. U-Haul is a great example of how large retailers and small towns can co-exist.

I Didn’t answer question number 3 because the facility was under renovation-therefore much activity and noise- all for a good purpose. Overall a good experience with the manager being well informed and helpful. I certainly would recommend your facility to my friends. The one thing I was vexed about was having to provide a backup name that had a different address than mine. I was planning to use my wife as a backup person. I was told that wasn’t possible because a couple had done that and they both died at the same time so there was no one to notify ,presumably when the monthly bill was not paid. It seems that the probability of simultaneous or near simultaneous deaths of a renter and his wife is quite low and therefore there shouldn’t be that requirement of a different address.
