We reserved a van but when one wasn't available the team quickly pivoted and gave us a truck instead. I'm not sure how far in advance they know of what they will have on a particular day, but letting customers know there is an issue would be helpful. Overall, we were very pleased with the customer service we received.
ALEXANDRA R1500 airport road was good! David was the man and empathetic and helpful! I originally came Jim Campen because they didn't have my reservation so I had to drive 11 miles to get a truck. Whoever is reading this call me back at 8286966893 because I'm about to leave SCATHING review on multiple sites about Jim Campen! They did not offer me my $50 credit for not having my reservation!

ALEJANDRO ZSpace is tight for dropping off equipment, and it's not clear where to drop the equipment off. Luckily I dropped the trailer off during business hours and was instructed where to drop the equipment. (way in the back of the storage units).

Anneke LLocation for pickup was not as requested and time for pickup changed until after this location closed. Truck was not up from and ready so searched a large lot to find the truck on a very hot day. App kept kicked us off during pick up and return. Aniya (spelling) was leaving the building to go home and took pity on us to help find equipment.

Carlos V | Premières impressionsMy reservation was made a month in advance for Swannanoa River Rd, U-haul. The day before pick-up, I was notified that the truck would be at 4 Season's Uhaul in Hendersonville. (30 miles from the original location). I arrived at 4 Season, and they didn't have a truck. They made a call, and suggested the Airport Rd. U-Haul. When I arrived there, they said they had no truck, but that one might arrive at 1:00 p.m. I went home, and returned at 1:00. The manager there (Aleah?) was most helpful getting the truck which arrived at 2:30 p.m. To improve: When one reserves a truck a month in advance, assure that the truck is available at the location where reserved.
Carl NI made a reservation at the Uhaul 1 1/2 miles from my house. The day before I was to pick up the truck I was informed they did not have my truck & had to drive 15 miles (45 mins.) to pick up the truck in Hendersonville. The 2 women there were not helpful and incompetent. When I got home & checked my email receipt, I noticed the contract was for a completely other truck. When I called to let them know to re-issue a new contract with the correct information, no one answered. I spoke to customer scheduling in North Carolina (also not helpful), they would not issue a corrected contract. I then called customer scheduling In Bangor, Maine who sent me a corrected contract. Bangor, Maine U-Haul was great!! They could teach North Carolina U-Haul about customer service!! Obviously, they have never been trained properly in Hendersonville! RENTER BEWARE!!

On the day of pick-up, I contacted the location on Sweeten Creek Rd. in Asheville to confirm my reservation and AGAIN was told they didn't have a truck. This was 1,5 hours BEFORE my scheduled pick-up time. After speaking with multiple people that work in "traffic", I was finally assigned a pick-up location that ACTUALLY had my truck. The location was 30+ miles in the opposite direction from where my destination was located. I have used U-Haul many times in the past, but after this very stressful experience, I will no longer choose U-Haul.

James CThe staff seemed completely indifferent and honestly incompetent they were too busy FaceTiming while I was trying to pick up my order. Then they were charging me almost $50 more than what my reservation was and expected me to be fine with it and just pay it without question. I asked why and showed them my quote and they couldn't answer and again FaceTimed their manager who eventually discounted the rate but I still ended up paying about $20 more than the reservation. I was polite however they acted like I was inconveniencing them by picking up my reservation and asking questions.
Robert MAt pick up we couldn't get the mobile check in to work correctly, so went inside and the staff at U-haul Hendersonville we're so polite & quick to get us processed at counter. After filling up on gas then getting home to begin loading, we quickly realized we had to have something a bit larger to fit our family's belongings. This location went out of their way to accommodate us when we had to unexpectedly switch our rental after we had already left the property with the cargo van. After calling the location to ask if they had something larger, we were told no. But Aliyah went above & beyond by searching for something else at another location. She found us a little bigger truck, secured the rental & told us to bring the cargo van back so they could us get relieved of the rental contract ASAP in order to afford the larger truck we needed. They only charged us the cost of milage & couldn't reimburse for the Safe Move coverage, but I guess it's a pretty fair bargain considering they could have kept all our money. VERY impressed with this location and best experience with U-haul by far!

I called and the girl who answered was completely unhelpful and said she'd leave a note for someone else. I never received a call back nor did I get the refund for my blankets.

Thomas PIf you own trailer hitches of different "drops", i.e., "level", "2 inch", "4 inch", take them with you. I have a RAM 2500 HD 4x4, and the trailer tongue would not crank up to my "level' trailer ball, so I had to borrow one from the dealer.
Michael DParking for trailers on the day of drop off consisted of me having to back it up (I am not good at it) into a parking spot on the road shoulder on a pretty busy road. Not fun for me

James BThe truck had almost 200k miles so it did not ride well. It vibrated terribly. It also smelled like someone smoked in the container. When I returned after hours I had to download the app and take a bunch of pictures. The app speed was very spotty so this process took 30 minutes which is the last thing you want after a long day of moving.

Jean SA walk around should be done with the vehicle and the customer service rep should've showed me where the gas gauge was and the gas cap was it's very camouflage on those vans. Suggesting that we download the app would've been helpful to to check in. I struggle with my iPhone for over an hour trying to download the app when I got there but there's no Internet at all in that area it's a very bad area. I suggestion by the customer service rep would've been when you're at home download the app because it's very poor reception Here. I called customer service and they walked me through it she also never told me where to Park it when I returnEd it.

Christopher R | Premières impressionsI think the "disc lock" rule is ridiculous and I don't understand it, BUT if that's something so needed, it should be in bold lettering/advanced notice that uhaul requires this "disc lock". I wasted my money on a lock that wasn't "acceptable" and now have to make another trip out to the storage unit just to buy and change the lock. That would be my only complaint. Love the online move in process aside from that.

They secured my door with additional locks but there was damage to a lot of my stuff so to the door not being in line with the building. To make matters worse no one called to let me know that my unit was damaged. I was not given the opportunity to move units or anything to stop damage from spiders and mice. My wood furniture has white mold on it. This was extremely poor service. Will not use this facility ever again
