Staff here knows there job and know how the Uhaul system (that can be unreliable on pricing) works. My move experience with UHaul in general was very frustrating EXCEPT for the folks in Jackson, Mi. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

Make returning the vehicle after hours much more easy and user friendly.

Have the vehicle ready when it's reserved ahead of time. I had to sit while waiting for the ice on the windshield to thaw. Truck should be up front and ready for the person to pick up.

Consistently get bad service at this location. One or two good employee interactions, but that's outweighed by the numerous bad ones. A specific example, I called to ask about what the charge was for lost moving blankets and John was unfriendly and not knowledgeable about the policy. Room for improvement here.

Absolutely not I was late dropping off due to an emergency my son fractured his foot during our move so I spent all night at the er, but I brought it back in the morning the guy stated he tried taking the 57$ fee off but I highly doubt it! He wasn't exactly the friendliest…. After this experience I'll be looking elsewhere for my moving needs, things happen, I could understand the extra charge if I had went over miles, or if I would have caused uhaul to lose out on a sale over my the incident but I didn't and I wasn't even using it I couldn't get it back from Hillsdale to Jackson on time because the website said if I dropped it off in Jackson I'd save 51$ and that it was only 29 miles NO IT WAS NOT it was more like 40 miles! So after sitting with my son at the ER all night I really couldn't make it anyways. Like I said horrible experience. Apparently ur customers are strictly dollar signs.

I showed up to drop off my rental in the morning @ around 6:40. I seen a worker there checking in trucks. I asked him where I was to go for a trailer return. He barked at me that I could take it over where the other trailer were located and told me to go to uhaul.com and do a self return. First of all I have never rented a uhaul, I also do not work for this company. The worked was very rude, unfriendly and not pleasant to deal with. IF I ever rent a uhaul again it will only be if I do not have to deal with the jackson location again. Poor customer service. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend the 2925 E Michigan ave, Jackson MI. location.

The employee who helped us check out the truck was curt and snarky. He had an attitude of not wanting to help more than was absolutely required of him. He gave incomplete answers to questions. He would ask the questions he needed to ask (how many miles do you think you'll be driving) but when we paused to estimate he would respond with a tone like "You don't know?" We had less than 3 seconds to give an answer before he was looking at us and talking to us like we didn't have a clue. We were not taking a long time responding. He was impatient and rude. He did not appear to want to be helping customers and he was very clear about it. The facility was clean and modern-looking, but the employee makes the whole place horrible. Another customer came in while he was taking care of us - she needed to pick up a key that someone had set aside for her. She interrupted us because she just wanted to ask for her key. He treated her the same way he was treating us - like it was a HUGE inconvenience for him to pick up a key that was taped on the very desk he was working at. Whether or not he is good at his job, his tone of voice and demeanor are very off-putting. I have rented many trucks in my life, most of them Penske. I will not be coming back to u-haul. The truck's steering wheel pulled and was not responsive. It felt like the vehicle should not be on the road. There was nothing redeemable about this entire interaction. I will not be back.

The U-Haul website vehicle reservation page date/calendar function is inoperative. This prevents me from reserving my vehicle, online. I have brought this to your attention on multiple occasions, during the past year. Yet, the problem persists. As such, I must call the local U-Haul store, or, visit it in person, to reserve the vehicle. This is cumbersome, and, a waste of my time and of the local U-Haul representatives time.

This was the best experience I have had with U-Haul (or any other moving and storage company), Over the years I have moved and used storage services, and U-Haul Moving & Storage of Jackson knows what they are doing, I appreciate their professionalism and assistance when I needed a question answered. There was no runaround and the follow-through was done as expected. Thank you for making this an easy experience instead of a nightmare. The staff was great and knew what they were doing.

Drove into the return lane, waited there for a good 10 minutes, but one no one came out. I walked into the store to try to return the truck, and I found a younger lady helping a customer and a middle aged lady having a personal conversation with someone who didn't appear to be a customer or employee. I waited, then the middle aged lady called me over. I told her that I wanted to return the truck and her reply was “You need to wait in the return line outside.” I said I had waited there for 10+ minutes. She then said “Well, we are busy today and we are assisting other customers, so just go back out there and wait.” There was only me and one other customer in the whole store and on the premises. She was more interested in having personal conversations than helping me. I went back out and waited another ten minutes, and the younger lady came out to help me. She was already busy helping someone else, it feels like the other lady didn't want to do her job. The younger lady has helped me in the past, and she is always friendly and efficient! I didn't catch her name, but she has red hair. She's amazing!

Misinformation provided by the Dan and Claudia at this location that I am not supposed to unhook the tow dolly or do anything. However the regional manager Jay 410-682-5805 said that the customer is responsible to unhook the tow dolly. If this information was provided to me on the day of renting the equipment I would have planned the move safely.

This is my second attempt at this location to use the app to checkin and it would not work. Once inside the office, there were many system issues that confused the staff, including my having to give them my drivers license twice to copy. Your check-in system badly needs an overhaul!!

The woman who received the trailer was very professional and pleasant. She is a positive force in your organization. Trailer turn signal did not work. Your yard man was 99 % sure it was my 2021 Expedition. Trailer wire has an intermittent fault.

The staff was great. very friendly. My only suggestion would be for UHaul to have trucks and trailers available on the west side of Jackson. The location close to my house did not have the truck I need. So I had to drive addition 15 miles (at.79 cent) to pick up truck

The Assist. manager is not Friendly at all . They only care about the money they don't care about the customer. My husband went to jail, they still gave me a 25 late fee over locked my unit from being 3 or 4 days late how freaking sad ;( I paid it all and told them I'd be moving out ! I do not Recommend using this storage place to anyone! Idc we are humans and need to be treated as we are not just about how crappy we are cause of my husband going to jail !! Kim at the U-haul center offered EXEMPLARY service!!! She went above and beyond to assist with every aspect of storage setup, explanation of services, use of facility, even providing a tour and hands-on support. I cannot speak highly enough of the degree of customer service she actually embodies!! She is a fantastic example of an engaged employee, with experience and an ability to connect with and address customer needs. The Assistant manager talked to me like I was illiterate then she explained to me like I could only use one machine to swipe my card when I went out there to swipe my card it was froze there I had to go back to the office and someone else told me I could of just swiped my card inside then when I went back out there I couldn’t move the lock over to open the door so I went back to the office the assistant manager was frustrated and told me she couldn’t go out there with me just get something and bang on the door and try and open it so I tried that and it still didn’t work so I went back up there a third time now I’m mad and Melissa was out there and I walk in yelling at this point so Melissa was very nice and pleasant and she told me she had to punch out and then she came out and helped me get the door open and told me she would be there the next day if I needed any more help.

I have 3 U-boxes to unload and told the gentlemen working on Monday September 6th that I would be there to unload the boxes into a storage unit I reserved on Sunday September 12th. Noone knew anything about it when we got there. We did get the boxes brought out so we could unload them but it was a hassle. Also I was supposed to get a call from the location about the payment on my uboxes on Tuesday or Wednesday but noone called me. So I just paid almost $400 for the 3 boxes even tho I only had them for 2 days after the payment. I was very dissatisfied with the fact I had to pay $400 for 2 days of having the boxes.

The staff at this location are extremely rude and unprofessional. I had problems with my storage unit from the MOMENT I signed the lease, and wouldn't have signed at all if I wasn't stuck. The people working never answer the phone, and have such an awful attitude. And when I tried to call your corporate number for customer service, it was an equally awful experience and I was stuck dealing with it. Finally able to move my things out - NEVER giving your company another time of my money or second of my time, EVER.

Fantastic experience! Dedicated staff. Kind and helpful within the busiest season. Also, I wanted to share that Ryan is an incredible leader at the Ames Iowa Uhaul site located at Duff. Ryan works harder than most people who own businesses. He either owns the Uhaul and/or he's passionate about making the moving experience a good one. Honestly, when it comes to me moving, Uhaul has a very happy and determined staff - set on making moves easy, friendly and efficient. I appreciate the way Uhaul handles things and swear that this is one of America's unsung essential services that really needs a round of national applause, and if all goes as planned; I intend to share this message with leadership in the government. It seems to me that moving is one of the most stressful times in a persons life span. Uhaul has, so far, never let me down. Uhaul: I'm impressed you allow people to set a promissory note. In Ames, and in Jackson, there was no hate or degrading comments for the person who asked about that matter. Nationally, who does that?; unless you declare your a business (not many companies). I am a new business owner and this move is establishing a new business where demand exists for the services we offer. In a Pandemic, to have a moving company behave in that way makes the entire rental experience more meaningful and significant in humanitarian ways. Merci!

After moving my stuff in, about a month later we went to check on it and it was infested with roaches, in which we were told we had to treat ourselves. When moving out we had set a arrangement up to move our stuff out a few days after the rent was due but we explained we had to go out of state for a funeral and they were fine with it. When we went to move our stuff out they "had no recollection of the conversation " and forced us to pay a months worth of rent that we weren't going to use. The owner/manager John is NEVER there. Everyone was rude but one lady who works part time.

the staff at uhaul are the rudest people in the world ... the only person there that was amazing was Teresa she was very helpful and a blessing to uhaul... and an amazing person ... wish all the staff at uhaul would take a class from her on how to treat people... I dont understand in this point in time with everything going on ... I lost my job cause of the covid and got two months behind. went I with a month payment and the guy that was working would not take my month payment ... he said I need to pay the two months I was behind ... I was dumbfounded and knew at three months they sell off my stuff .... this is wrong of uhaul not to work with people when life is so bad right now ! shame shame on uhaul.... but big plus and a gold star to the only employee Teresa that was kind and very helpful thank you to her

I would recommend this place to a friend, but tell them to never call because no one ever answers the phone. I spent going on 3 hours trying to cancel my storage unit because i didn't have the time to go over to the office. They were friendly when we were there, otherwise it was like they never existed.

I have a half inch gap in my sternum with over a dozen broken ribs which make it hard to breath anyway. Your strict mask policy left me clinging to the light post out front gasping for breath, thanks for that assholes, i should call the feds for abusing the handicapped.
