There was no one in the store. The lady prior to us had been waiting 10 mins and said she had to do the same the day prior. Luckily we found someone in a back room. We were there at 10am. He was very nice when we found him.

App didn't sync with location request update. I originally requested a 10 foot truck and a few days before my move I upgraded to a 15 door truck. The trucks are not marked how big they are and I got a 10 foot truck which didn't have a loading ramp or moving blankets.

I can't answer these questions because I didn't drop off equipment. What I can speak to is the fact that the original drop off location is listed and recommended on the U-haul website but actually is not part of the system and should be removed. I found this out when I went to drop off the equipment. I then called the U-haul customer service and was treated almost like It was an inconvenience to help me and was told I had to contact the "local scheduling team" the next day. The customer service is lacking.

Worst experience of my life my trailer started on fire witch resulted in the deaths of my dog and lizard I had to go 5 hrs off track for a second trailer witch had severely low/bald tires and so on

Rented an appliance dolly at $10.00 per day. Now to me a day is 24 hours. I was told I had to have it back by 3:30 the next day. Ok I admit I had the dolly for 24 hours and 35 minutes. Good customer service would only charge the $10 plus applicable taxes. I got charged for 2 full days or $20.00. Now an extra $10 bucks is not going to ruin me, it's just that there is very, very little good customer service in this country. It has been taken over by greed. I have used this center many times over the past several years. This simple act will likely make me go to another uhaul location going forward. JB

Not bad considering the truck was 5ft smaller than the one I booked; 30 miles away from my requested location and pick up time was scheduled for 4 hours later than requested. Why did I go to the trouble of booking a truck if I got nothing I asked for? I had to leave possessions behind as there was no space on the truck for them.

Very disappointed however in my initial experience. Went to the UHaul in Janesville, WI and ordered a POD on Sunday June 23rd received notice by email on June 25 at 9 pm that it was cancelled. Didn't even have the courtesy to call. Had to change all the plans which I thought was very unprofessional of UHaul. When your staff states something is available, it should be available. POD could not be dropped off where needed until July 2nd of which did no good as had to be out by the 30th. Really need to work on getting things correct so people don't have heart attacks when things have to suddenly change. Believe a huge discount is in order due to the inconvenience this caused.

Owner Darwin Merrit is not a very friendly person and does little to make renting at U-Hail an enjoyable experience. I waited in line over a half an hour to get my reserved trailer rental and it was at closing time before I left. Another couple ahead of me were treated rudely, and when I asked when the trailer needed to be returned by I was told it was listed in the paperwork I was given. This will be the last tome I rent at this location

When we came to pick up the cargo van we had to wait 30 minutes for service. The van that was given to us had bald tires, the left turn signal didn't work, and the change oil message kept coming up. Found out when we returned the vehicle that it should not of been in service. The vehicle was unsafe and we were not compensated for the problems. We will never use uhaul again.

Internet reservation process was easy. After hours return was a little complicated, at least, for me personally. It was my first time. Desk person could be a little more personable. Vehicle performed was clean and performed as expected.

Unhappy with extra charges at drop off. I was quoted 20.00 for each extra day over the 5 days allowed, dropoff location tried to charge 54.00+ another 19.00 for the insurance. I argued with him about quote price, he eventually gave me the 20.00 price but still added another 19.00 for the insurance. Insurance paid at pick-up should have covered the extra day.

When I arrived at the location and attempted to load the car to the trailer the trailer tipped up and off of my hitch. Upon further investigation I realized that the trailer had not been tightened to my hitch. After tightening myself I everything was fine however this could have caused an accident had the trailer popped off of my hitch while moving down the road.

I rented the same truck yesterday at which time I was given the keys and told where to find the truck which was with the manager. Today the gentleman pulled up the truck, and went over everything very thoroughly. It was definitely a much better experience and customer service today

The truck was clean and staff friendly. I got the truck home and realized the dash said 0% oil life. So I called the uhaul rental place and was told no other trucks available and I should call roadside assistance. Roadside assistance was great but it took a few hours to get it done. So I never got to really use the truck. Ended up just being a waste of money

They did not know how to wire the hitch and told us to go to the Madison location to finish up the wiring. Upon Madison’s evaluation the Janesville location broke our plastic molding where the rear light is located on the inside of the vehicle and the Madison location told us that the Janesville location did it incorrectly and had to redo all the wiring. The Madison location said they did not need to try to remove the plastic molding to wire up the hitch. The Madison location was very helpful and gave us a claim number to call to get our damaged plastic molding replaced. What upset me the most is the Janesville location did not even mention that they broke the molding!!!

The lady was extremely rude. I had an appointment to pick up the load of wood we had and we arrived just to be told the trailer had a popped tire. They told me it would be a couple of hours. She told me I had to wait so I had to request a different trailer. Anyways we went round and round and finally left with a trailer that didn’t work
