Would've been better to explain all required steps ahead of time (photos of both license and passport, need to verify 4photos of truck condition, gas, mileage and that key lockbox would need to be found and decoded. Also, preordered equipment (blankets/appliance dolly) were NOT in the truck. I needed to go inside AND WAIT ON LINE, if I'd tried to do this after/before hours it wouldn't have worked. Additionally NO appliance dolly was available. Truck steering wheel was grimy, this should be cleaned.

When I called the 800 number later to reserve the truck, the customer rep was also courteous and helpful. The check-in app is very helpful suggested in the confirmation email is very helpful. I suggest that the confirmation email provide a short checklist of what to have ready to use the check-in app (e.g., photos of the driver's license, license number, etc.). As I did not know what to expect, using the check-in app became cumbersome and confusing. When I picked up the truck and inspected it, I saw that the "Change Oil" light was on. The location assured me that the oil was changed three weeks ago and that the sensor was bad. I trust that is the case, but having the "Change Oil" light on during a 200 mile trip was not reassuring (there was not another 15 foot truck available). After driving off, I noticed that it was difficult to see through the windshield. The windshield was dirty and the sun glare made it worse. I cleaned it myself at a gas station. It's a nice idea that, for an extra fee, an optional moving blanket and handtruck was zip-tied to the rear. But I would prefer that this option be presented at checkout for me to either accept or decline -- because those items were in our way when we loaded and unloaded the truck. And other boxes could not be stored in the space occupied by those items. So it wasted space.

JOHNA S.I asked the attendant if the tire pressures on the trailer that I rented were adjusted to manufacturer specifications. His reply was yes. I checked the tire pressures myself and they were at 24 psi. Manufacturers specifications on the trailer sticker call for 65 psi You should check the tire pressure of your equipment before releasing it to the customer.

After my calling UHaul I was notified that I wouldn't know if a truck would be available until two days before pick up. I had to empty a house for a trip upstate NY. How does a customer plan under these circumstances? The process was very stressful!

Wayne D.The employees at location are very nice. But the truck I rented was horrible. The check engine light stayed on the entire time and the engine or transmission had a loud wining noise. Also the steering wheel shook very badly once above 40mph. And the driver seat had a large hole with a metal bar inside hole that had no padding left. This metal bar on broken seat made it very uncomfortable to drive. ** I already had E-mailed customer service with photos of above-described issues (seat damage and check engine light on) and I received back a very generic reply basically telling me to let the employees at location aware of the problems with truck. I don't think trucks should be rented in this condition. I also think the email response i received back was of no help to me.

Stephen M.The storage unit that I used started to smell like mold and mothballs. I left several messages with management and they never called me back. I would like a credit of one or two months. I have used the storage facility for over 10 years and I've spent well over $25,000. I looked back and it was obviously a tremendous waste of my money. The contents of my storage unit was may be valued at about $1000, so paying 25 times that makes no sense.
