The new digital online checkout for smartphones assumes an extreme amount of competence in the renter & significantly strong cell phone signal at the location. Neither was the case in my rental. The staff is extremely helpful, polite, professional, customer focused & work hard to get you in/out as fast as possible. I have used them before & will definitely use them again.William T.

Woman at the site gave me a hard time - didn't want to take the paper from me showing that the truck only had 1/4 tank, that's why I was returning the truck with 1/4 tank. Told me that's not how we do things here, telling me I have to go on line and do something or other. She was extremely nasty and agitated. I had been up since 3:30 in the morning, loading a truck, driving from NJ to NH... and I'm standing there with her giving me a hard time - I'm not a UHaul employee - or work at her office to know 'how we do things here'; this was an internal issue - I had the paper from the other site with the gentleman's note saying the truck only had 1/4 tank. It wasn't my problem, nor should she have vented her frustration at me, that I guess she had to do something different or extra to check the truck in. She needs to get a clue what customer service means.Charles H.

The app-based pickup was less than smooth. Only when I actually arrived for my pickup you wanted a SECOND IDENTIFICATION? By some miracle I had my passport with me. THEN the app was slow as molasses processing everything. After all that, I STILL had to go inside for my keys? If you want to use technology to replace the work of humans, it needs to function faster and more efficiently than humans. I would have been better off doing this the old-fashioned way and waiting inside for help.Roger D.

The person on location was very helpful on the phone, and to pickup and drop off. The equipment was great and very clean. The truck was in a "ready to go" spot pointing right at the street. It's not cheap, but worth it. It was very easy to move my non running motorcycle.Paul W.

This place is a joke New take over had to smooth over all of the problems Had stuff stolen my lock was drilled out and another one was put on and they told me nobody did that we had to have a locksmith come and cut the laspe we still have the lock and key our key does not fit the lock. A very special item was taken from our locker and can never be replaced and they lied to us about somebody going into our locker the locksmith gave us a statement so the new takeover people made a deal with me return my money for the time that I was there but how do you return a piece of paper that is priceless and you can never find another one We had a letter in a bottle that they broke and the letter was taken out of it I'm not very happy about it I want to talk to somebody about it I have saved all the evidence with the lock being drilled in the locker being broken intoRodney P. | Expérience générale

Unfortunately this is the only reasonable u haul location near me . Staff was not trained in proper set up of trailer argued with me. That it was my suv wiring that was bad. I explained that tested my wire harness before I got there. After moving me to a different trailer ligts worked fine. Employee did not transfer my rental to the new trailer. So I could not return with the app. Honestly next time I will drive further to rent from next time.KYLE O.
Definitely an aging truck. Breaks were soft. The gas gauge was on empty and we had to gage as to how much gas we needed to return it with the same amount of gas. This should not have happened. We were told the last renter said they had put gas in it but this should not have been our problem. We should have had a full tank. There should be a way to dip the tank to verify that it is full. Specially when it is an older truck and the previous renter said the gauge did not work. It worked for us.Howard L.
Based upon how the staff acted when I went to get the trailer, I felt like I was bothering them. Comments like: "I didn't know anyone was coming to get a trailer today" Counter person asked the yard employee: "Do you want to go out and clean off the trailer?" Response: "Not really, since so-and so slipped on the ice out there and got hurt the other day" Also, I knew there was no trailer ball on my truck. I don't drive around with it on, having had them stolen in the past. The yard employee didn't need to make a production out of telling me that they couldn't hook the trailer to my truck without it- the ball was in the truck.JASON V.

Needed a appliance dolly with my truck and wasn't told about the fact you didn't have one till I was already there picking up the truck. At other U-Haul I used the truck was ready and warmed up when I get there and the additional items I rented were in the truck already. In this case I was the only person in the store with three people at the counter and was still expected to fetch my truck from across the lot. Wheel the only dolly they had and a bag of moving blankets to the van myself. One even moved off there seats to open the door for me. Oh one employee who was on a smoke break held the door for me as I came back in. Perhaps you need to pay them better because they didn't seem very happy.Scott M.

I am indeeed grateful for the support that Amanda and her staff gave me over the past two years. Everyone provided answers and help on each request that I made. The only issue that I had was the entry cards were sensitive during rainy conditions and or cold conditions. Amanda provided me with an entry code, which worked super. No fusing with cards. We needed a unit for only a few months. I was able to secure it the day needed within hours of dropping off our belongings for storage, access was very easy, with the tools required to transfer everything from the truck to the unit, and vice versa. Our biggest issue was the difficulty of setting up an account when we checked in. We already had an account & a unit. We were just adding another unit. We had to do the whole process as if it was a new unit & then they signed us up for the wrong unit so had to do the process all over again. Then the key card we were given didn't work.
