I usually have good service, but I'm not sure what happened this time around. I ask for a 10' Truck, they give me a Cargo Van. I ask about the $50 refund if the equipment isn't ready on time, 3 workers start barking at me how they would have to give EVERYONE a $50 refund if that's the case. in front of a number of other patrons no less! I was humiliated! then I get an additional charge of 6,77 to my card after I return the equipment with a full tank of gas! I had driven 12 km instead of the 16km i had initially indicated! What is going on with those people?

I called the location I originally booked for (to adjust my booking time) and they said "it was a good thing you called because the truck you were supposed to get hasn't been returned." She continued to say that "you would've showed up and the truck would not have been here". This is poor customer service and I would hope to be called before arriving to pick up the vehicle.

Service was painfully slow as only one staff member was available for check in, retail products, and return. The inside of the store was an eyesore. Retail products displayed poorly, service counter was blocked by rolling carts. The rental van was fine but it was not clean. The sales person was cordial. There isn't anther UHaul in Kingston so I will return when needed. Overall it was fine other than the slowness and interior.

everything was fine except no one ever mentioned i could not leave my car there. the other location i used before (hwy 15) i just left my car while i used the truck. i only found out when i got there and saw a sign on the door. so telling people that ahead would be nice. other than that it was great.

Your online site was horrible to use, they had trucks sitting there that I wanted to rent that they said were unavailable however they sat there all day, the inside of the truck was dirty.

Truck had a wicked pull to the left, Tires had no traction on wet grass and ended up costing me more money with U-Haul and grass repairs. Overall unimpressed with it. The girl told me it's too bad there's nothing they can do about it.

Although the vehicle was clean, the rear windows were so dirty, you couldn't see through them. Gas tanks should be full, so there is no guessing. If you close at 7:00 pm, one should be able to return the vehicle overnight or before opening in the morning and not be charged an extra day. After driving and packing all day, your customer is tired. It also reduces the risk of speeding and having an accident.

This location is okay but they always are dishonest about fuel. I drove a 15' truck for about 8 Kms and had to fill about 16 liters of gas to bring it to their quarter tank. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the fuel gauge before starting the drive, although I noticed it was not quarter tank. This is not the first time this happened. Last time I rented one truck, the same thing had happened and at that time as well I wrote to customer service but never got a response back.

Not a fair survey. 1. Did not get trailer at requested location. 2 No tongue jack on the trailer. Not all of us are 30 year old men. Very difficult to remove trailer from vehicle without it. So in summary, location get okay review overall company experience not great.

The left turn signal light was out, a repair attempt was made and the tail light fell out while driving down the road. I had to stop and collect the parts and reattach them. I was also charged another day's rental when I delivered the trailer at 8 am.

The location is very crowded with rental vehicles which is a good thing. There was nowhere for me to park my personal vehicle at this location but staff did direct me to an abandoned parking lot across the street. Maybe this should be highlighted to all renters (maybe it was). The lot across the street is in very poor condition so someone could unknowingly damage their own vehicle. Maybe staff should highlight that as ' use at your own risk'. The staff was friendly and getting the truck went very smoothly. I ended up putting in too much gas using the guidelines provided - an extra 1/8th of a tank. No big deal. Maybe I misread the gauge and the guide. This and my other U-Haul experiences have been quite positive overall. The warning system for the truck I used indicated that the tire monitoring system needed to be serviced.

Inside of cab was dirty with what looked to be coffee stains. The windows were filthy. The yard is too small for vehicles when returning, as other people parked all over the lot when they made their returns. The staff working inside on pickup were polite and helpful.

Everything was great until we returned the truck and I was told my bill was going to be $300 more than I expected the lady who was inspecting the truck insisted that I was being charged correctly but I knew there had to be some misunderstanding so I went to speak to the manager because prior to my trip a representative from U-Haul had called meTo give me a better price without the mileage charges. The manager was very accommodating and he reviewed my bill. I was in charged the amount that I was expecting. It would've been nice if the female employee had offered an apology since she was standing beside the manager when he was correcting my problem.She needs to improve her communication skills when dealing with customers and not assume the customer is wrong.

I ordered truck for 730 am Oct 31 when I got email of confirmation it said 1245 pm so I had to reschedule movers to 130 due to woman who supposedly set up the time as I asked and didn't caused alot of stress and more time off of work for us .

The return process was not well described. I advised the staff I would drop off the Sunday evening after closure, which was done. Other Uhaul locations have done this and checked in the trailer first thing in the morning charging the agreed amount to my credit card. At this location, they charged an additional day rental as they did only verified after 10AM. I had to call to get the additional charges reversed. The staff member was pleasant and completed this immediately. Would have been a 5-star rating had the additional charges not happened in the first place. I still recommend the location, but just keep an eye out for any surprises. There was another one on the trailer hookup (dragging of an extra trailer for 20 feet was they were "stuck together") but that was more hilarious than anything as we caught that fast! lol

Rental went very well as my two day rental was a few day before the end of the month I had booked it several weeks before. Upon returning the 20 foot truck I observed one client disappointed that his last day of the month was a challenge. So book earlier that what you might like to avoid this busy time.

Didi not have a larger unit available as per rep mentioned the morning I visited. I would have appreciated a call to confirm it was the smaller unit and try to find two together. As I booked a truck I received one month free rental but that only applied to one unit not the second that was needed. I feel due to the amount of money I have spent with U-Haul, the second unit fee could have been waived for the month as well.

Staff denied usage of said storage unit stating I would take advantage of the free month. They stated that policy was to only honor the free storage at the destination. The destination doesn't have a storage facility.

I paid for the storage unit, added items into the unit locked it and left. The next afternoon I return to the unit and find a lock from uhaul on the door that says I haven't paid my fee. So I proceed to front counter and show my receipt for it being paid and was let into my storage unit. This was very inconvenient to say the least. I do not see how paying 216 is worth being locked out of my unit the next day, this needs to be remedied or I will leave the facility and find somewhere else to use for storage. Is anyone going to make this better ?

when working/sorting things in our storage unit 1813, the hallway light often went off and made it pretty dark in there. wish the sensor lights stayed on a bit longer. I also found it a bit challenging accessing the entrance for unloading/loading. Access cards would be so much handier than walking-in the main office when staff are often so busy or not available.

I am disappointed. I am being harassed with emails and mails about bills that I didn't incur. I only used 1 storage space and I exited the space before it was due and I'm getting bills for another storage that your staff mistakenly added to my account. Please stop harassing me with bills and talk to the staff at the Kingston location.

Hello, The Storage unit was clean and I did not have any problem. But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. Do not accept any pre-authorized payment. Merci.

When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks

Confusing as to why the u-haul system requires 3 phone contacts and 2 addresses to rent a storage room. Alternatively phone contacts I understand, but a 2nd address does not make sense. Staff was very helpful in the setup process overall!

Booking online wasn't working at store, got the wrong locker at first. Was also told you dont get a free month of storage if with one way truck rental but say nothing about that online during booking!

The parking lot is often difficult to maneuver; sometimes the rental trucks and trailers almost block the entrances to the storage unit area. This makes it hard to park close to load and unload.

When logging in i see 'Next rent due: (date) 0$. the charge appears 1 day after the due date. So when i log in before the date I assume 0 is due, but then incur late fees as rent show AFTER due date,

Got instigated about smoking the vehicle when explained I wasn't smoking in It, a young guy looked at me and said are you sure you weren't smoking darts. Not impressed at all.

Since there is a 200 character limit all I can say is that after my experiences I will never recommend u-haul to anyone nor will I use it ever again. It's prettu clear no one knows how to do their job

Used location twice over the last 13 yrs.Moved out & was indicated that I would get a partial refund (by Mgr) for pretty much a month's rent.No contact from U-haul despite calling/Email them.Disapp'd.

The truck felt like I wouldnt make it across the street. Dangerous steering column. Poor brakes. The staff are cold too customer and each other. Not one smile or a thank you. I felt sad for them

Staff at the facility seemed overwork and were always in a rush. I was never given a clear path between my u-box and my vehicle. I had to move around obstacles each time.

Overall U-Haul storage facilities are great. Clean, secure and welll maintained. I never got the after hours code so I was not able to access the facility. I only need this once so not an issue.
