We'll, Honestly, I will NEVER recommend anyone use U-Hual for either moving or storage needs. I have had too many problems receiving services reserved!!! When reserving a storage unit online, this only puts my request â€œon a list.â€ So when I arrived to move into a â€œreservedâ€ unit, there were NONE available?!?! Also, same with picking up a reserved truck. If you are 30 minutes late to pick up a truck â€œreservedâ€ for a full day, it's given to someone else?!?! God forbid you asked for either a utility or appliance dolly!!!! SO â€" I will NEVER use U-Haul for any subsequent moves. The equipment we reserved was not at the location including the furniture dolly, furniture pads The appliances dolly was rusted The truck had a muffler that sounded very loud The Cargo department on passenger side was leaking during rain and our boxes got wet The truck while running smelled like gasoline The staff at pick up was uninterested and unfriendly and unhelpful The suspension on the truck was horrible every bump on the road caused significant vibrationallahyar J.

When allowing for reservations, you should ensure that you will have the reserved truck/trailer on site. If someone rents a trailer, it should not be contingent upon someone returning it on time. Our entire day moving my mom into a nursing home was made difficult by the fact that we rented an enclosed trailer because of rain, but it was not available when we went to pick it up and the only option they had was an open trailer. So we had to wait all day for rain to pass in order to move furniture and a 2 hour job turned into an 8 hour job. Highly disappointed by this and the lack of apology or compensation for the major inconvenience.Nick T.

The customer service is poor at best. The General Manager is sub standard. When a billion dollar steals from customer its a sad bay in the business world. I came in at 9;56 for my truck rentalâ€¦ the GM will your an hour and half I'm charge you for a whole dayâ€¦ I stated if that's the case than I should be able to continue to utilize the equipment scenes that I've already satisfied the necessary fees to continue for another day. He went on to say no wants to unit is on the property it can no longer leave. So we went on with that being the rules for the company intern we filled a vehicle up to the recommended amount A few stated in the guidelines after receiving my receipt I noticed that there was a fuel charge indicated on the receipt I went into the establishment to ask the general manager why we incurred a fee for gas after taking a picture of the gas needle as I was in the parking lot of the establishment which said that the gas needle was half full he said oh I thought we had amended that charge but the charge should've never been on the receipt and then he went on to say that it was some sort of surcharge or whatever the case may be which is a lie he's a liar and he's a thief for the company and I was not the only customer that was dissatisfied with the service as I was actually another customer prior to me said wow this guy this is nothing about customer service and I'm like wow they agree this is two different transactions we came into the building at two different times and we both agree that this particular general manager need some help or need some training I need to be replaced I will never and and this is not a joke I will never lease another U-Haul from that location and maybe not from the company as a hold I will be contacting the company to figure out what we're going about this is that was incorrect and ce the necessary pictures and a you thing I've you ha a kid and 50 years of the I the score around and I will never have that experience again because I would never allow another company to put me in that particular position this is a horrible horrible black guy on U-Haul truck was horrible it was the oldest truck in America dates all over crack glass just to name a few things dirty in the inside dirty on the outside scratches all over the vehicle as if it was a trash truck as opposed to moving truck . What cut what company would allow a piece of equipment to go out and that sort of shit this is disgraceful someone needs to figure it out thank youEarnest B.

I am not understanding why I was charge over $70 and someone I know was only charged around $30 and we literally went the same route a few days apart. We went to the same location how do I know because we were together. I will never rent from U-Haul again. The location was unable to honor my one-way rental reservation. I booked the U-Haul for a 7am pick up and was told the next truck would be available at 12:30pm. My only option was to book a round trip reservation and pay double the price. U-Haul is taking advantage of customers who rely on brand reputation. I would recommend you use any other rental place. Uhaul needs to figure out how to ensure reservations of equipment can be honored. Three separate times now I have had a reservation only to get a call from Uhaul an hour or less before my pick up time saying my reserved truck cannot be honored. Many times it's due to someone failing to return on time. Other times it's due to the online system not knowing what actual inventory is available at the location where I'm reserving. This latter issue seems simple to rectify especially with technology available today.Jennifer T.

I had already rented out the u-haul truck 2 days prior to the move. On the day of the move, I arrived 20 minutes before the store opened. I was 3rd in line when the doors opened. My only complaint is that I had to wait about 20 minutes before I could pick up the U-haul. There were only 2 Customer Service reps at the computers and they both had to work with the people in line ahead of me. The CSR's had to explain the options, setup and go over the contract, and physically go outside with the 2 new clients to their rented vehicles. I was aggravated because I had already picked the options, did the contract 2 day prior to the move, and just needed to pick up the vehicle. Have a better system for people who reserve there rentals online and prior to the day of the move. Also, have a better in-store system so that the CSR's at the desk can just focus on the front-end sales side and not also have to walk outside with the customers and go over the details concerning the vehicles. There were 5 other customers in line behind me and who knows how long they had to wait. I will reconsider a different moving company next time I need to rent a moving van. It's already hectic on the day of a move, I don't want this kind of delay on moving day. On a positive note, the customer service representatives were very friendly, professional, and courteous. Company policies/procedures, or local on-site management should not have put them in that position. Your going to lose these good employees that way.Gregory S.

The salesman in the front who assisted with assigning me a storage unit was very rude and was not helpful. He told me there was a lock in the unit but after we hauled all of our stuff upstairs to the unit, there was no lock. Hi, this is my very first time renting a storage and I will say it was interesting to say the least. I arrived to center and I entered the store for check in. The rep who served me was friendly but he did not mention anything about the convenient lock for buy storage. I picked up a lock and the rep charged for the lock. I came to the place along and no one on the staff offered any help with lifting anything heavy onto the moving carts which I realize is not really in their job description but it would have been nice to at least be offered. The lady who did the paperwork was not knowledgeable and did not pay attention . She had to ask the other agent about almost every line of the contract. When the contract was FINALLY ready, almost an hour after we began, she had entered the wrong size unit and it took an additional half hour to get THAT straightened out. Poor air quality inside the storage facility. Stored leather furniture which had only been there for 3 months was full of mold when I emptied the storage unit last week.
