The manager was very helpful. Your corporate restriction of having to have the local city on your driver's license to rent a van is a little crazy. I just moved and needed to get some materials from the building store. Getting to the location and having this thrown at me was not appreciated.Jack Y.
Terrible communication. It took me months to get this hitch installed. I called the 800 number on your website and they were just as useless. I am surprised Uhaul is still in business. Any competitor who answered their phone and did what they promised could put you out of business in 36 months.Ray P H.
After getting the truck 3 hours late, I barely got 50 miles and I spent the next 6 hours broke down on the side of the road. Then I got towed 65 miles to my destination, then at 10 PM, 8 hours after I had planned to have the round trip finished, I was give a Lyft to a closed, dark, U-haul parking lot, told there was another 15 ft truck truck for me to drive back home, told the truck #, told that there was a key in a lock box,. They were right about the key, but it didn't fit any small truck on the lot, much less the truck whose # I had been given. I roamed the deserted parking lot, alone, no open business in sight, no place to even sit down in an unknown part of town, for 2 1/2 hours. I talked to multiple reps. from U-Haul, who were clueless as to what I should do now. Texting me every now and then to ask me stupid questions. And all telling me that they would call me back, only one or two out of the dozen I spoke with all day, ever did callback. Finally after midnight, yet another rep said, "Why don't you drive the a 20 ft. truck home, that's what that key goes to. 2 and 1/2 hours it took for someone to tell me that! Finally, after midnight, I started my journey 100 miles home. I have asked repeatedly for a supervisor to call me, none has had the balls. I have already contested the charge with Discover, I have no intention of paying a penny of it.holland W.

Need to update the computers and Wi-Fi at this location to speed up the check in and check out process. It puts the staff at this location in a poor position. Takes them away from other duties and seems like a waste of everyone's time.John P.

We had Tyree and Richard pack the u-box for a long trip from Florida to Colorado. We had very delicate pieces and very heavy pieces Following the U-Haul recommended one more box then you might need. They were able to get everything in one box. Even a five foot drift wood fish (thanks guys we know it took some maneuvering) They made a day I was dreading to be a truly wonderful experience we would highly recommend them

I had to go to that uhaul store in leesburg, because i could not rent the item 5x9 utility trailer that i needed at the uhaul down the street from me in mount dora that i like to use. There should be a way to rent items where you do not have to drive so far to pick up your rental.Pamela P.
Don't allow semi trucks to block the parking lot from customers and their rentals. I don't know how you can do this, but I have Verizon and the U-Haul app would not allow me to upload photos to check in my rental.William N.

Totally impressed with help,super efficient and personable, helpful drivers as well as Byron on the phone. We highly recommend this process and very good price ! Boxes were easy to pack due to hooks to attach straps and plenty of blankets ! Everything arrived in perfect condition and all pick up and drop off times were kept and communications excellent ! Initial move-in was not good. Reserved an inside unit. Got there late at night and when I opened the unit it was full of someone else's stuff but no lock on the door. Had to delay my trip back to Jacksonville for a day to get this sorted out. I ended up with an outside unit since inside was now full. We rented a 6 x 12 open trailer and got an enclosed 6 x 12. It worked, but not what we requested. We requested the Tavares location, but got the confirmation for the Leesburg location - ??? The employees were rather lackadasical - just didn't seem to care. Very disappointed with the whole U-Haul experience.Justin N.

Moving the box from St Joseph Missouri to Mound City Missouri was a disaster. The contractor you gave us didn't show up on 3/25. I paid personal people to unload and I still had to pay them - they showed up. On 3/25 I made a case with Katherine # 4185212 at 7:30 pm. She said I would hear from someone in 72 hours. I never heard from anyone at UHaul. You just sent a bunch of automated emails. I finally was able to reschedule someone for 4/6 which I had to pay more for. They did a very professional job. BUT I feel U Haul did a poor job. If you weren't able to deliver the box in a timely manner tell me from the start and I would have gotten someone else. This created a lot of stress, unneeded expense (the unloaders I had to pay on 3/25) and the additional expense I had to pay on 4/6.Gail S.

The staff treated me as a VIP. I pulled my car up and they had the trailer mounted quickly on my hitch and we did a check of the lights and I was cleared to go. On returning the trailer the staff saw me pull in and the came out quickly and removed the trailer and my hitch and did the final check-in process right there and I was done and on my way.JAMES T.

The facility was under construction and portable storage containers were stacked two high all over the place. The way the containers were placed made access/egress to my unit very difficult. The portable containers had to be moved in order to exit the facility. They were cramming 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag. Management was no help. Waited outside for 10 min. No one came to help unload trailer. Then went inside with boxes to return and asked for help with returning trailer. Had difficulty returning boxes. That took another 10 min. I was then told someone would help me with unloading trailer. We waited another 20 min for help. I would not recommend this location. I asked for Apopka location and that one has never disappointed.Michael W.
The mileage wasn't correct it was against me and when I went in and said something, the girl said, you have to go on the app and take a picture of it I'm not good with computers or things like that and she said when she gets done with a customer that she just started with she could help me and I just don't think that was good when I brought it back they still charge me for the extra mileage that I did not use. I feel that they don't think that a customer deserves any kind of breaks and they take a vantage of the customer as much as I can. I don't feel comfortable at this particular you Uhaul. This is my third time there in a month and a half and each time I felt the same way something stupid and minor that could've been resolved easily. I don't think I'm gonna go back there anymore. Was told facility lock would be removed. Arrived during access time but found unit still had facility lock on the unit so could not access. Cost me a day of work to stay in town to take care of getting items in unit a day later. For this location, be sure the customer is out of the gated yard before locking it. I had to get out of my vehicle and knock on the back door until someone came and opened the gate. For dropoffs in general, I knew of several much closer UHaul drop off spots, but for some reason this location, over a half hour away, was assigned to me. We had to drive to two locations to get a truck and neither had a truck available even after we had two different reservations. One made by us(a week in advance) and one made made by the first pick up(the morning of after confirming in the system the 2nd location had a truck)location. It took over 1,5 hours to finally get a truck yet no apology made by any of the employees for all of the screw ups on Uhauls part. Your reservation system is horrible and obviously flawed.Ian B.

I had a problem when I tried to get ahold of the number that they put on our paper and it kept sending me to corporate . Then they would try to connect me again and we'll go back to corporate I never could get through to the main office in Leesburg , I finally had to go in and talk to them in person which is time I didn't Have . When I went in with a reservation number and everything it still took me over an hour and a 1/2 to get Is my unit . But other than that they were really nice they were clean. Poorly maintained rats and all kind of insects will get inside and will eat at your personal belongings. No they won't be replaced, and they won't be held liable. There are so many U boxes stacked up everywhere people are running into the buildings , I had bugs in my storage unit I'm going to have to go through everything and remove cockroach fecal matter and possibly eggs. Why is storage not pro rated I should not have to pay for the rest of the month for an empty storage unit I'm no longer using if someone else moves into 137 or 113 before the end of the month that's basically double dipping. Because this site is older, the exterior storage bin has ceiling problems and there is a rat catcher on the floor to poison pests. The staff, though, is great to work with and the bin prices are lower than almost all other storage companies within a 25 mile radius.paul l. | Premières impressions

When I got the unit the lady that helped was very nice when I left less then 2 weeks earlier the staff that helped me were rude never spoke to a manager like I was told I would and wouldn't give me any kinda money back. When I first got the unit and opened the door there were dead bugs all in it you'd think they would at least sweep it up before letting you rent it. I didn't care for the way the manager sent me to Ocala because they were closer to my house. I had a storage unit in Leesburg at her facility. I put extra miles on the U-Haul truck and then when I got to Ocala he sent me back to Leesburg. At this time the manager changed her attitude and helped me. I am at this point wasting money putting the trailer stuff in a storage building when I could had left it in the trailer and would had cost me less money. When I went to move into my storage unit there was a younger gentleman and an older gentleman That had just pulled up to the same building my storage unit is in. SpaceThey had bolt cutters with them and they were watching me as I was moving into my storage unit. The young man went into a storage unit ( I'm assuming it was his) and then proceeded to change into new clothing right there in the hall of all the storage units. The employee that was with me said nothing to them and it was a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not comfortable that somebody was allowed to go into the storage units with a bolt cutter knowing that they could've cut anybody's lock and there's no cameras inside of the building. Just average. I had 2 units: one climate controlled, and the other was not. The staff was great, but the facility was crowded with U boxes. It was often hard to get at the keypads. I had a lot of difficulty ever trying to get a hold of a person on the phone. Had trouble paying my storage bill. Also my unit was broken into and ransacked. I paid for my storage a day before put address in GPS to move my family from one city to another only to be led to the middle of nowhere. Cried for 30 mins because I was lost. Spoke to a rep that was nonchalant and put me on another 20 min hold in the middle of nowhere. Minding you I've been already driving for 7 hours. I was ready to get to storage and get to my home after only to find out the address listed was 1 hour and 6 mins away from my actually destination. Ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere. My husband had to leave me and my children to get gas because we couldn't tell anyone where we were. SO I NEVER MADE IT TO A UNIT I PAID FOR. Drove an extra 1hr on the uhaul truck that I know their going to make me pay for. Which is completely unfair. I was given 131 in miles and was only driving 88 miles. Now idk how many miles is on there because of their address was messed up. Complete ripe off. $278 for uhaul and $127 for a storage I can't find nor use.Asia G. | Online Move In

During the heat of the day (90+ degrees) the temperature of climate controlled building E is 89 degrees in the back of the building (where the air conditioner is located) and 90 degrees in the front of the building. It was 82 degrees at night.KARL P. | Premières impressions

I had tried calling there a few different times over the 10 1/2 months that I used the unit. The only frustration I had was not being able to get through to the store even though I called the number to that store. After several attempts & having to call other stores & finally being able to be taken care of through the system but not through that store was my need taken care of. I live a couple hours away so when I need to reach them it's frustrating not to be able to get through on the phone. In the end it took another trip in there after getting my stuff out to close the unit w/ in the 10 day prior requirement, because I wasn't able to get through on the phone. The staff was nice & helpful & the unit was clean, dry & well lit & I used a Climate control unit which seemed to have no problems with that. Over all I was happy.ADRIANNE H. | Expérience générale

Where do I begin... Let me 1st say there are some great staff members here That do try to go out of their way to help you. But then you run into the ones that just really want to ruin your day. Like going in in finding out the handle has been broken off the door going into your storage unit and being told we have to wait until the manager comes back off a vacation to have it fixed. In 2 weeks later it's still not fixed. Or walking into the climate control building and it's smelling of cat pee P. And being told it's not my fault I didn't put the cat in there! But my all time favourite thing of all was when the guy in the next unit that it was great to poor stuff over the wall into our unit. We pay good money to have our belongings kept safe & available not to be abused.JERI R. | Expérience générale

With the exception of being locked inside the fence overnight with both of our dogs and our then 9-year-old daughter after we paid the upgrade fee to allow for 24 hour access, our experience during the term of our agreement went relatively smoothly. That was until March 1st of 2020 when we moved our belongings out of our storage unit and notified staff that we no longer required use of the facilities
