WAYNE TAvailability at other/closer uhaul retailers sucked. I had to drive miles from other vendors to get truck I needed. Other than that the experience was very good.
RICHARD NI came in to rent a trailer and Blake was very helpful. Knowing I didn't know how to hook trailer to my car he did it for me, The ball I had was facing down so he let me have one of theirs to make it easier for me. He was very helpful and courteous and I would definitely rent again and recommend this place to all. Thanks again Blake
ANGELA FFirst of all, they did not show me even how to put the lights on. They should've showed me how to use the equipment before I left the lot. First time renting a cargo van or any equipment from U-Haul. The gas was not on full like they said it was, but I did fill it back up. I did not get credit for the gas not being on full. But they did not hesitate to charge me for the mileage I use, but they did not give me credit for what was not given to me. Their lack of customer service is not there. They need to work on their customer service.

FRANK VMy original pick up was supposed to be in Mount Dora , Florida. I had to go to two different locations to pick up the truck that I had a confirmation number for. I had to go to Leesburg, which was way out of my way to pick up the truck. After I was told to go to Eustis. Lack of communication And training. I should not have had to go to three different U-Haul's to get a truck.
TAMMY BI went online a week before my moving date and reserved a 26 foot truck and a hand dolly. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was told they had no dollies to use but I could purchase one for an additional 69-79 dollars which I basically had to do because who moves without using one especially if the two people loading this truck are 64 and 69 years old. So they have a dollies for sale but none to fulfill your rental agreement. Given a weeks advance notice I believe they could have let me know especially since they emailed me 3 times to see if I would be willing to pull a trailer behind and drop it off somewhere along my destination.

JAVIER SThe 10' truck had transmission problems halfway to my destination. I had to rev the engine constantly to keep it running. I got to my new home I went to do a three- quarter turn the truck wouldn't back up the back tires and axle locked up the wheels wouldn't rotate so I couldn't unload close to my new place. When I left the transmission problems continued I still had to drive with reved up engine. The road was packed with cars leaving the Citrus County due to hurricane Helene evacuation so I took another route back and tacked on more miles glad I did the roads were quieter. I went to the Race Track gas station a half mile from the U-Haul in Leesburg I put $32,2 in the tank to cover the 3/4 . Bryon the manager did care that the truck wasn't working correctly he only complained the tank was $9 short. If any other woman customer had this truck that day I don't know what would have happened. Noreen SThe van was older, needed some work. Headlights switch was broken and pushed into dash, needed shocks badly. Inside of the van was dirty, I washed the windows inside and out, wiped down the interior. Guys at the office were more than helpful with our rental process.

Not the locations fault, it was the reservation department that did not care how far I had to drive to either pick up or bring back this outdated equipment.

I had caught him just past what would've been closing, but he was willing to help us complete our move in as well as get us secured into a second unit because the first one we had wasn't big enough. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Tried to offer me a larger unit for $35 more month which I did not need with first month free, which I already had from renting the uhaul truck. Said he'd give me the larger unit for the same price. Went to the unit and not only was it an outside one (I reserved a climate controlled) but it also had a lock on it. Had to speak with the manager. He gave me a larger climate county unit but stated I had to call him back as he had to figure out how to give me the price of the unit I originally reserved.

Blair and his staff went above and beyond to assist with any issues we had when we rented a storage unit and a truck. They also were wonderful in communication - we left a transponder in the truck by mistake when we returned it and they called us back almost immediately as soon as it was returned by the next renter to let us know it was located. Also, they were exceptional regarding adjusting a billing issue with the storage unit- we will definitely use this facility again when the need arises. 1 000 000 thank yous Leesburg staff!

For a 10 x 25 unit wad sold already before I got in there on 4/16 to pay for it, between Bryson and 2 other people, they tried everything to find me something, after being there almost 2 hours and several phone calls later we were given the option of 2 10x10's. 108 and 177 which are close together for the same price of the 10x25 We decided on that and was given the first month free and comments on our reservation for 110 per unit per month. We have already booked a Uhaul trailer to be picked up at an Orlando location for the 27th and then we will be moving our boxes and some furniture in. Bryson went above and beyond trying to make things right because I was very disappointed and he turned my disappointment into a better place.

When loaded it is hard to turn as all of the wheels do not roll equally or a few of them are stuck. When I moved in - I let the staff know about the problem. I made several trips back to the unit and also when I moved out the same Cart was still there and not repaired or replaced. One of the staff explained that "Management has known about the problem for some time" Cart 4 Building D. This is an easy fix - just go make it happen.

JULIA H | Expérience généraleBesides having a disagreement with the General Manager, Michael, the policy of not prorating a customer that cleaned out his rental storage unit on the 5th day of the month, Feb 5th Monday, and was told that I could not get a refund (prorated) on the unused days, 25 days, because they don't go that! I asked what's the reason for not prorating? There was no real reason. I asked are you double dipping ( renting the space out after no return on my automated payment for the rest of the month), and no real answer! To me there is no reason that a company (U-haul of Leesburg Florida) of that size and known reputation would even consider that. But I was wrong and going through the process of doing something about it so this doesn't happen to someone else. Really, U-Haul needs to take unused money from their customers! Wow. I will be calling the BBB on this matter along with bringing it up at the city open to the public meeting.

Between pest damage and water damage I would not recommend facility to anyone. When I called to voice my concerns it was treated as if it was important. I have used U-Haul services for many years, and this will be the last.

Being in customer myself I would definitely want her on my staff if she wasn't already taken. I have seen her in action 10 Stars across the board for her always even when a customer was getting rude with her I watched her keep her calm and treat the customer exactly how the customer should be treated do not lose her and give her a raise. Please show your general manager some appreciation I'm able to do it for my staff at my company and I hope you can at yours I will always use U-Haul in the future thank you for a perfect experience for a year and a half. Debra C | Premières impressionsOver loaded yard makes driving through a nightmare. Also when turning in the equipment it was in the middle of a hurricane. Not bad weather but a legit hurricane. The manager said ( that's to bad .. if it's not here you get charged an extra day .. if we have days away because of rain we would go out of business ) so I said nothing and walked out. However I contacted my attorney to let them know I plan to fund an inquiry to find out how many people had their safety put at risk because of Uhaul and this policy. Hopefully at the very least the manager of this location loses her job and the corporate office changes this policy. I can afford the extra day but some people cannot and should not be threatened to put their safety at risk because of it.

Catherine B | Expérience généraleInitial move-in was not good. Reserved an inside unit. Got there late at night and when I opened the unit it was full of someone else's stuff but no lock on the door. Had to delay my trip back to Jacksonville for a day to get this sorted out. I ended up with an outside unit since inside was now full. And i was not told of the access cut off time so was locked in past midnight. Had to call customer service and they were able to open gate.

The way the containers were placed made access/egress to my unit very difficult. The portable containers had to be moved in order to exit the facility. They were cramming 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag. Management was no help. Find another storage facility, this one is a mess.

Cost me a day of work to stay in town to take care of getting items in unit a day later. No follow through here... if they tell you something you have to do your own follow up to make sure it happens.

Then they would try to connect me again and we'll go back to corporate I never could get through to the main office in Leesburg , I finally had to go in and talk to them in person which is time I didn't Have . When I went in with a reservation number and everything it still took me over an hour and a 1/2 to get Is my unit . But other than that they were really nice they were clean. If I ever need you guys again I will come back thanks

After your personal belongings are damaged under their circumstances, they still expect you to take them and dispose of them yourself.. and this is for 150 a month outside unit… very poorly ran.
