When I arrived the representative was on the cell phone. As I approached, she paused her conversation and though she asked how can she help, I since she was not very much into customer service. Why do I say that? When I asked about prices and space sizes, she simply pointed from a seated position rather that getting up and directing me. After signing the agreement, she handed me my paper and gave me unclear directions as to where my storage room was located. Most of all, she didn't explain to me that I need the access card to get into the building. I actually didn't notice the access card till she caught my attention as I was walking away and she said I needed it to get into the storage area. It took me a while to find my storage locker and when I returned to ask about rather there were elevators in the facility, she paused a cell phone conversation and gave me the look of, "now what does he want?" She could have explained from the beginning that my locker was on the second level and there were no elevators or ramps to get there, only stairs.

Jennifer was very helpful when I had a problem dropping off my rental truck. The only reason I said that the equipment was not clean and well maintained is that there was a hidden crack on the windshield (where the wiper was) that I assume was not caught or seen by anyone (including me) before I took possession of the truck. Thus, the drop off location wanted to charge me $200 for this. Other than this, the truck was clean and worked properly.

Stop taking more money out of my account. My charges came to $65.84 plus additional $60.58 for being a hour late understanding but when I got there there where seven trucks ahead of me in the return spot with the doors open and gas running. Who knows when it was checked it for real and that may be a way they are charging extra to get free money. I checked my account this morning and there was an additional $60.85 pending so in all U-Haul is charging me for 187.27. I filled the gas up to full and the van was clean. Don't take advantage of me.

There was no one available when we walked in the store. We had to wait for quite some time before we were helped. When the woman at the desk did arrive, she had someone on the phone LITERALLY the entire time we were speaking to her. The person she was speaking to just waited until we were done before they resumed their conversation. She sent us outside to search for the truck, and it was NOT where she said it would be so we wandered around in the cold for some time. The truck she did initially give us did not work properly, so I had to go back in to get another truck (she was still on the phone). The second truck had an notification that there was not enough air in the tires, but we were on a time crunch, so we just accepted the truck anyway. They are NOT properly maintained! Positive: There was a pretty good supply of trucks available, and there was a gentleman there who was pretty helpful.

For starters, a) the agent (braids, long fingernails) would not put her mask up. Another customer went to the manager; b) the same agent (braids, long fingernails) was cursing & said: nigga. The other agent apologized for her behavior. The cardboard advertisement was left in the truck. The inside dome light was out. No ADA for small print & therefore no notice of requirement to READ Uhaul TEXT message. Phone was not even ON!! Called manager next day she put in an examination request for me re: gas of $7.50. I'm disputing this charge. Awful service. Please "clean" up this location.

The registration agent at the facility rude and dismissive and the employee that was on staff w/ her first 7 minutes of my intake was spent trying to tell her that I wasn't there to pick up a truck. She refused to except information from my registration for the storage space, after an exhausting 7 minutes we began the process to secure my space. We get to the space there's a green tag on the door I cut the tag a deafening sound blared over for 3 mins. Now we make it back to the truck while we are off loading a staff member comes thru not once but three (3) times(each time he came through he found something laugh about or make a commit) to to tell us the large sliding door will lock at 7 and all moving will be thru the small door. This was undeniably unreasonable request that brought on a toxic level of stress to beat the clock. We did just that packed the unit wrestler the required lock we were forced to purchase despite the fact we came w/a lock for the unit. What if we didn't have the money to support the forced purchase. You are dealing with induvial that are in tight situations make quick move under direst to force people to purchase a lock that truly doesn't properly fit the unit it took two people to close the unit one to fit the small facing into the hole and force the key to close and the other to level the door so that the lock fits yet another example of unnecessary stress added when dealing with the facility. So we are done, unit is closed then we remembered we needed to get an item . We unlock the unit that deafening sounds starts and never stops, we scrambled to find the item the was sound blaring it distorted us we couldn't think after leaving the facility we had head pain that was unbelievable. It was a horrible experience to say the least from start to finish.

The first month free promotion wasn't really clarified at the time of move-in, other than that, the staff was helpful with every issue that came up during my time using the unit. The price was affordable as well throughout the entire term. Would recommend.

Shut down The U-Haul location that is about a mile away from this location on Annapolis Road in Lanham. No you halls. Only one person working. Waited for 30 minutes. Changed my reservation to the Martin Luther King location. This delayed my move by almost 2 hours.

I had a negative experience with my U-HAUL rental: (1) I was charged TWICE for my rental. I noticed the second charge upon reviewing my monthly credit card statement. (2) The truck's light switch was not secure on dashboard panel. (3) The truck's headlights were misaligned and very low beam.

Staff very unprofessional. Before I can get 2 steps in the door I'm being yelled at by the female employee behind the desk "leave your key in the car and we'll email you receipt". When I do get my receipt I've been charged for going over on miles when the receipt they sent even shows I did not. How does this even happen? This is the second in as many times I've been charged erroneously for something by this location and they never conclude your rental in person which gives them the opportunity to do these types if charges unknowingly to customers. Very bad business practices. This is the last time I'll be renting a uhaul truck from this location.

The check in process to get the truck was slow. There was only one customer service person checking people in so it took greater than 25 minutes for me to check in despite having a reservation for a truck. Also, I was informed that my truck reservation was sent to another location and I was not notified until I arrived. Fortunately, the rep was able to accommodate me and did not send me away to the other location. I felt the process was unorganized and not respectful of customer's time. The reps were friendly and professional so, that was helpful.

When I first picked up the truck, I came back in because it wouldn't start, instead of the employee running out to double check my work, they should've just given me a different truck immediately. Then when I came back at 445 to discuss the 3rd time the truck wouldn't start when the truck was less than a mile from the drop off, and immobile. There was NO manager around to help me, and the agent told me he would not advise I leave the truck at the BP, since it was in my name and was my responsibility until it was in the parking lot. Also, neither of the staff available was willing to help me in my plight. Finally, I spent 2 hours and 14 minutes on the phone with Uhaul of Lanham, I'd say I spent about 10 minutes of those 2 hours and 14 minutes on the phone talking with a representative, the other 2+ hours I spent on hold. Fix that problem immediately. I was calling to discuss another issue and wasn't able to get through. My day was littered with problems. It was a major fiasco

In the past, I've had exemplary service at this location - super responsive, really helpful staff. For this rental, however, no one helped attach the trailer to my truck and I had to park and detach it myself on the return. Normally, I wouldn't mind too much but I have had some back trouble and would have appreciated the assistance - especially since on the outbound, the guy at the counter said he was having someone meet me - they just never did. Overall - C minus on this one. Nice folks but it just seems like they really didn't care much about customer service - happy to sit at their desks, hoping someone else would get things done.....

The truck fuel filler is defective. Fuel can only be pumped in at a trickle. I used two different gas stations. At the second I filled the tank and it took 30 minutes to pump in 28 gallons. The engine may have a problem. It accelerated very slowly. The fuel gauge may be very inaccurate. it read close to 3/4 full at return, but my final bill credits the fuel status as a little over half full.

The only complaint I have is that my unit was, at some point, overrun with mice. Droppings were everywhere when I came back to it. Also, there was a dead snake in my unit. My things were safe though.

The man that was the manager is rude. I had my unit for a few years. He sent me and my daughter emails when I was 1day late to pay. Said I had to pay a late fee. I usually paid my bill on time.

We set up a reservation for a set time to move into a storage unit, however, we had to wait hours in line due to under-staffing at the Lanham, MD location. As a result we lost our help for our move.

I never visited the facility but staff managed my UBox delivery. Staff made great effort to handle UBox being 8 days late, but I am still waiting for reimbursement for late delivery. :-)

Uhaul boxes were terrific. The issue i had was the BOX calendar was not centralized so only ONE sales person could setup the pickup and drop off. To get in touch I had to leave a message.
