The customer service person who waited on me was the unfriendliest person I've experienced in a long time. That was not even the real problem. Our city and state have an indoor mask requirement and he refused to follow it. At no point when I was there during my checkout or the next day on my return was he wearing a mask, a clear violation of local mandates and a complete disregard for the health and safety of the customers and his fellow co-workers.DENNIS M.

I did all the forms online and chose mobile pick up, but still had to go to the front desk and refill our all the forms etc. it's fine, but was unexpected and added time. Also thought I'd already paid but had to do that at the counter and.Linden B.
Service was okay, not extremely friendly but not rude. There was an error on the paper work by saying gas tank was full when it was at 3/4. In addition to stating miles of the truck were at 5552 when the truck had 5554 when we were given the keys.BRENNAN SHEA M.
I was so disappointed that the truck I rented to drive 1700 miles did not have cruise control or a door lock / unlock button. This made travel much more tiring and inconvenient. The locations and rental experience was smooth but I think that you would consider long haul travel warrants these two items.KELLY T.

The gentleman who checked me in and checked me out at the Fullerton location was fantastic. He is the kind of agent who knows how to get things done quickly and efficiently without a lot of unnecessary chit chat. During a move, there is a lot of pressure to get the van in and out quickly, and this agent was quick and knowledgeable. On the other hand, the online reservation process was horrible. U-Haul changed my van pickup time that morning. I was so upset. I spoke with telephone agent Jennifer who kept telling me it was not her fault and she could not guarantee my reservation. Jennifer kept deflecting blame to U-Haul and took no responsibility. She was unprofessional.JAVIER D.

When I went back to the location to get the tow dolly the guys hooking it up were very helpful. They seen I was disabled and so they drove the car on to the dolly for me. That was really appreciated because I walk with a cane. The girl that originally place the truck order was polite and explained everything in detail to me. My complaints are more with UHAUL overall than this specific location. My original reservation was transferred to another location day-of, and then the new location closed earlier and did not have a way for us to pick up the UHAUL since we originally selected "key pickup" over mobile at the original location. After several phonecalls with this location and UHAUL overall, we were transferred to yet another location where we were able to get the van, but the dolly and furniture pads we requested as part of our reservation were not included. This set our moving timeline back several hours and resulted in way more manual labor than anticipated since we did not have the dolly. Overall extremely disappointed.JONATHANMICHAEL M.

The gas mileage was awful. I only went 9 miles and I had to spend $10- to top off which means I only got 4 and a 1/2 miles per gallon instead of the 18 it was said to have.L SAVANNAH H.
We didn't know that the back door to the truck didn't lock which worried us as we had to do a stop over and leave the truck on rest breaks etc. So it would have been useful to know that ahead of time.GLENN D.
I was told if I brought back the tank with a quarter in it I would get money back. So I put gas in the tank next door at a gas station and when I brought it back at a 1/4 the guy told me since it wasn't over a 1/4 I didn't get my money back . A little frustrating to put 15 bucks in a tank to find out that since it wasn't completely over 1/4 that I wasted my own money doing that and also got charged the extra gas fill up fee. I wouldn't have even bothered if I would have gotten charged anyway for them to fill it. I also brought the car back two hours ahead of time. I experienced a problem when the employee who recorded my trailer as having been returned, actually recorded it to another customer's account. 3 days after having returned a trailer, I received several calls from a U-Haul employee asking if I had returned the trailer.CHRISTOPHER H.

The location and personnel were fine. The overall process to rent a uhaul truck/van is a nightmare. Talk about antiquated. I would pay more or drive further away if it meant I didn't have to fill out 20 different liability wavers and dodge an up-sell attempt at every turn.Michael S.

Using this location where there were Uhaul employees was a much better experience than using the random drop off/pick-up locations. The staff was friendly and everyone was very helpful here. I would highly recommend going to this location during business hours only as the mobile and customer service via the phone is impossible to reach if there is an issue.BRIELLE M.
The check out for damages (X marks damage spots) was bad. There were a number of significant pre-existing scrapes/dents, but none were marked ahead of time. That puts the onus on me to take pictures and upload. Why did this not work???STEPHEN L.
I'm unhappy about the gas policy at Uhaul. I had more gas leftover than I started with and was not given a credit which I feel is very unfair! Had I come back with under the amount started, I would have been charged and at a high premium. Very unfair policy!!!!DIANA S.

I had a 15' truck and had to park outside the building with no street parking. The recommended alley was occupied by another truck. CSR was great but dragging my furniture up a long drive way/ramp was not something I was planning to do. Both the alley and driveway were not pedestrian friendly. The employees were helpful and kind. It's the location and inside setup. Too many rude customers, traffic on Fullerton, no space to really park to unload. And for the inside, I was in the second floor and then had to walk up stairs to get to my space. It was a rough moving day for me. The location convenience was good, and employees were great, but it's too small for what you all are trying to accommodate. Also, I considered adding another storage unit because I thought all of my stuff would not fit, but the online process was difficult. I had to set up another profile and do the process all over. The staff member who helped show me to my unit was helpful, but the employee working the register/in the office was clearly way overwhelmed. She was the only person working, and was taking about 20 minutes+ per/customer. I waited in line (with only one person in front of me) for about 40 minutes just to get shown my unit and get the keys. I had to pay my movers another $200 to wait for an hour because she took so long with each customer. On top of all of that, when I came back to uhaul later that day, my access card didn't even work- hadn't even been an hour since I received it/activated it. Overall it was a horrible experience and very unorganized. There needed to be more staff members working, and the ones who were working need to have a sense of urgency and efficiency, to understand people may not have all day to wait for them to finish chit chatting with the customers while there is a long line of customers waiting. I spoke to several reps about this rental, and everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Mike at the desk on a first visit and at check in time, Rick on the phone, Jasmine at a national call center, Tameka who phoned me to confirm the reservation and another Rick who took me to the storage space--and a very kind lady who received the returned van and gave me a printed receipt late Friday afternoon, 2/21/20, but whose name I don't know--everyone was most knowledgeable, patient, courteous and personable.
