This facility is very hard to enter into to return equipment. I almost damaged both my car and the trailer just trying to pull into the garage off the street. Thankfully the employee was kind enough to stop traffic in order for me to back out safely and then gave me tips to come back from a different direction to make returning my trailer easier. Overall, good service but I will be going to an easier Uhaul location if I ever need to drop off another trailer.

I rented a 10' Uhaul truck to move from my 700 sq. ft. one-bedroom apartment to another 1B apartment of the same size. The Uhaul employee and signage recommended 10' for a one-bedroom apartment up to 1200 sq. ft. Even though my apartment was smaller than that, not even half of my belongings fit in the Uhaul. I had professional movers load the truck and there was nothing they could do to rearrange the items to get everything to fit. I therefore had to return the 10' truck, rent a 15' truck from a separate and further location, and hire new movers to load the 15' truck same day. This process was incredibly stressful, exhausting, and unexpected based on the Uhaul recommendation. I also incurred additional unexpected costs, having to pay for two trucks and two sets of movers. I was, and still am, extremely upset by the situation I was put in. Uhaul should NEVER recommend a 10' truck for a one-bedroom apartment move. Even with the 15' truck and professional movers loading, the truck was completely full with my one-bedroom 700 sq. ft. apartment belongings. I don't know why you would consider a 10' truck to be sufficient for a one-bedroom apartment considering I couldn't even fit half of my belongings. I plan to move again in one year and will only consider using Uhaul again if they can remedy some of my extra costs incurred by completely reimbursing my 10' truck, as well as discounting the 15' truck since that was more expensive and required me to hire a second set of movers. The customer service at this location was the absolute worst thing I've ever seen in the service industry. I arrived and was the first person in line and still had to wait for 30 minutes. Once we were finally called to go up, the cashier did not even greet us. She looked at her phone for a few seconds and then had a Starbucks brought to her by another worker. She took her sweet time drinking that Starbucks and then finally said "how can I help you?" again, without looking us in the eye, apologizing for the wait, or any sort of niceties. She then proceeded to look for my reservation for five minutes (i had done everything online) and was unable to find it. I showed her the page and she searched again for five minutes and just flat out said, it's not here, failing to mention that if you change the drivers name, it changes the entire name on the reservation. We went back and forth on this for another 5 minutes until she finally told us that and acted like it was my fault that I didn't say something about it. There were no issues with getting the truck after all of this, however the gas was not at the level the lady told us so we had to pay for more than was initially in the truck when refilling it. Bringing it back, however...I was 45 minutes over because of all of these delays. The man in the lot tells me that they're going to charge me for two days because of this. I go back and forth with him for a little explaining the situation and then he says, "you know if you give me $10 I can remove the second day, $10 to save you $70, seems worth it to me!". At this point I was so over this place I just said no, we're leaving, I'll just pay the double charge. Anyways, overall, worst experience I've honestly ever had from a customer service perspective. Will not be bringing my business back to Uhaul.

I had a van reserved for 10 AM. Unfortunately, my other driver, who was to take the car, was delayed. I called and explained, and there seemed to be no problem. When I did go to pick up the van, I was suddenly informed that I HAD TO HAVE MY MOBILE with me to rent the vehicle. This was because, I was told, because I had to take pictures of my license WITH MY PHONE, because you use that to verify the phone. The sign the agent kept pointing to said nothing about these detail. It is amazing and totally disgusting that your location had NO WAY to copy the license yourselves. In the end, I had to waste a lot of time going home to get my phone. Then it took 20-30 minutes to actually get going in the van. This cost us over an hour of loading time. We had to be at the destination by mid-afternoon, because it is in a zone where Cub fans park illegally, and we needed parking spaces. Consequently, we had to cut short what we had planned to move, wasting part of the purpose of the rental. Then, even though I was back with the truck before 6 PM, they wanted to charge an extra day for missing the return time. We had rented for 6 hours, and did not get the vehicle until at least noon. They backed of from this ridiculous and unfair claim, but it was one more lousy part of a horrible experience. I have never had such a run around for other Uhaul sites. This proves to me that I rented from the wrong location. I am going to make sure that as many people as possible know about your troublesome outfit. We have another load to move, but I have to seriously reconsider dealing with Uhaul at all. Thank you for tripling these stress of an already-difficult day. You have put a serious blot on a previously acceptable history with your company. The demands made at pickup could have been covered in the reservation process. It must be nice to have a near-monopoly in the self-moving market. You sure act like it.

The staff were especially helpful, even during the press of June 1st, when students were inundating the facility. My one COMPLAINT is that U-Haul didn't prorate the final month of my 2 storage spaces.
