The outside of the pickup truck was quite dirty, which I usually wouldn't mind, but the bed (where we put our furniture for moving) was absolutely covered in bird poop. The oil also needed to be changed, as indicated by an alert inside of the vehicle, and the oil gauge was all the way at zero.

Nothing. The truck I rented was unsafe for travel let alone to be rented. The rear left outside wheel almost came off while I was driving. When I pulled over to inspect the wheel there were only two of the eight lug nuts remaining. The other six had broken off, three of which had been broken off for at least several days if not weeks. I called U-Haul roadside service, a mechanic showed up two hours later. That mechanic traveled over an hour to come try and fix the truck. The mechanic could not fix the truck so several hours later we were towed to a garage/mechanic located twenty minutes from where we broke down. That mechanic explained had he been called first he could have fixed the truck and had us back on the road quickly. When the truck was finally fixed eleven (11) hours had gone by. I was traveling with my 14 year old son, we were stuck in a parking lot or garage for 8 hours before we got somewhere warm. The temperature was in the mid 20's and very windy. We finally got back on the road the next day. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience. No one contacted me after this ordeal, which could have had a catastrophic outcome had I been driving at highway speed and the last two lug nuts failed. I know the photos and mechanic reports have been logged in the U-Haul system so this is all documented. I have rented U-Haul vehicles for thirty years, the fact no one contacted me to discuss this situation is unacceptable.

TRENTON OI never received an email with description of the process. My reservation was cancelled the morning of by you. I never was told I had to get verification by people so at 6am in the morning I am trying to get people to answer the phone, which they were not. The agent hangs up saying well its already 7am, so just go into the store to figure it out. The store will not help me and tells me I need to go online. It was a runaround and at that time I was already 1,5hrs into a reservation with no truck. I was at U-Haul's mercy and no one was helping me. Finally things starting working for me, but a total nightmare and very unprofessional way of a business to have me stand outside a place for 1,5hrs. A total waste of my precious time. I believe I am owed some form of refund for this error by the company. I hope I can receive a follow up please.

The guy was no help and didn't care about the customer. I told him I had to take the truck to Woodbridge and then go to Charles town West Virginia. So can you help with extra miles or a discount he doesn't care and said no very rudely. Later he told us to bet on the truck and didn't even guide us on how to drive it or even how to turn on the lights. The uhaul location in manassas park with the white guy with long hair. Awful service. I paid way too much for awful equipment. I most likely will never use the service again. Paid $35 for extra miles btw.

This guy is a keeper for the first impression of your location. My 1 suggestion is to be sure all glass is clean in/out & windshield solvent is full to avoid glare & difficulty seeing to reduce potential issues with clear view. I am 5' tall & w/sunglasses on still could not see well. When acclimating to a trick unk to me in traffic while fighting glare, & rush hr it could get dicey. Overall experience STELLAR. I'll be back. If I may, give older people discounts would be greatly appealing, esp if noted on app when reserving.

But the overall experience of using the app sucks, was full of glitches, took over 30 minutes to go thru the process, the UX of it is not intuitive and you need to invest in making it more streamline, because right now it's very bad.

There is a high probability that customers will be loading a vehicle that does not run. The winches could be powered by an accessory jack (cigarette lighter) from the towing vehicle. JOHN CThe uhaul looked fine on a visual inspection but the cab smelled like cigarette smoke. After leaving the facility I was driving with the window down and white hairs were flying all around the truck. I ended up driving for 12 hours with a shirt covering my mouth and nose because I was having an allergic reaction and sneezing every few seconds.

LENORE WI am disappointed that I received a phone call accusing me of keeping the vehicle overtime when my rental was for pick up on Friday, September 27th at 12:00 noon and drop off on Saturday, September 28th before 7:00pm. I dropped off the vehicle with a full tank of gas on Saturday, the 28th before 6:00pm. I am appalled by the error on your part and to accuse me of something like that! I have been renting the same type of vehicle from you every year for the last 4 years, picking up on a Friday after noon and dropping off on the next day, Saturday evening.
ANGELA MMy only complaint is the new requirement to scan a QR code to do an online pickup. I find this to be extremely inconvenient and the app doesn't scan the license well so it get stuck. This is removing the personal touch of the pickup process. The app needs improvement to function well.

MICHAELANTHONY M | Expérience généraleI have had this storage unit since 2015 and I moved out of it on 4/27/2023. My billing cycle is the 20th of every month. I asked the office staff prior to moving out (I stopped by the office on April 19th, 2023) since I was moving out one week after the billing date if the rate would be prorated and the office staff told me yes, but the owner would have to take care of it and that he had seen him do it for others when they closed out their account. When I went to office to close out my account, I encountered Robbie Necessary who apparently was the owner. He was more concerned with telling us how he could have matched the price on the truck we had to move (as we went with one of your competitors because the rate was so much better) and that when we needed another truck he would give us a discount since we were such good, long term customers. When we closed out the account, Robbie did not provide me with a close out receipt and when I asked about the proration, he told me no, that he did not prorate. I asked him "so, I've only had the storage unit for a week and I have to pay for the entire month?" He was dismissive and told me "sorry, that's Uhaul's policy" and walked away. I told him he needed to make sure that he educated his staff because that is not what I was told a week ago. He wanted me to describe who I spoke to and when I did, he was adamant that everyone i described didn't work for him and walked away from me again. He was more concerned with talking to a young female that was behind the counter with him. He made it a point to tell me and my husband that he looks after her like "her daddy". I found that to be very disturbing. I also believe it is completely unfair that I am being charged for an entire month when I only had the unit for one week. I will be following up with a call to the corporate office on Monday.
