Changing the drop off location at the time of pick up took so long and suggested we call customer service before drop off. When i called customer service before drop off, Initially they said it was change fee, but later we mentioned it was just an information and they were ok with it. Would be easy to have process streamlined to avoid confusion.

There was an issue with the car transport trailer brake system and fluid and the person who checked me in was extremely rude.

First off the equipment I requested was not in the truck.. then they calculated miles wrong and i was over charged for miles instead of a one way flat rate like they explained when reserving the truck. Lastly to drop of the truck was a nightmare I was never told I was going to have to download an app and do uhauls job as well to drop off the truck what was supposed to be an easy drop off turned into 35mins I’d wait time time to speak to a representative to find out in the morning I had gas and mileage charges. It was night mare.

We rented a 15 ft Truck and car transport. The truck was in good shape, the car transport looked like it was probably one of the first ones ever used. I should have figured something was about to go bad when I went to look for the truck we were given was no where near where they told me it would be. The car transport situation was even worse. Upon arrival the car transport that was assigned to us was given to someone else. The gentleman assisting us with the transport gave us another transport. He changed the number by pen on the paperwork but never updated the computer system. He also tied the car down on the transport and was teaching another person how to do it. Funny thing, not really, his tie came off of the tire during our travel and the other person's did not. We had to pull off the highway and re attach the tie down to his tire. Thank goodness for YouTube! The experience only gets better as we try to return the car transport... We had told General Manager there we wanted to get rid of the car transport outside of Houston (we were travelling from CT) and return the truck in San Antonio where we were moving to. She told us she left the return for the car transport open so all we had to do was call ahead and schedule the drop-off. We called ahead to the Katy, TX U-Haul dealer. Upon arrival he noted that the transport we had did not match the computer system. We showed him our paperwork and noted the penned in change. As he looks up the trailer we had, it was scheduled out to someone else that would be returning it to somewhere else in TX. Thank goodness for Miguel Sanchez, the Facility Manager at the 5139 E. 5th St. Katy, TX U-Haul!!. He was beyond tremendous, he dug right in and spent at least an hour on the phone with U-Haul talking with multiple people there trying to straighten out this mess! After all that he figured it out on his own. He pointed out due to the mess ups on the other end it could have cost us $760 because the Manchester site could not do their job properly. On the rental drop-off location I will continue on about Miguel Sanchez.

Great customer service. There was a pretty long wait, but surprisingly the staff maintained an excellent attitude even though the customers were not very friendly. Two very hard working ladies! They have the most amount of trucks around in this area, by far! I had two previously canceled truck rentals and this location came through and had accurate inventory. Will use of this location in the future.

The lady at the counter that took care of me had the personality of a dead frog!!! There were 2 men there trying to rent a trailer but they had none and they were asking her information on other locations and she showed no interest in hooking them up with another location. I felt bad for them. The lot boy that took care of checking out my truck and mileage etc was awesome!!

I have missed my prescribed sunglasses on the equipment. I have realized in an hour. I tried reaching the store but no one picked up and not got proper support from customer care. So I travelled again to the store but they told the equipment rented out we will search and update you. But I did not get any updates from store and after that I have went store couple of times to check the status but no effort from their side .. finally I lost my glasses. I Feel the store management not really pay attention to this issue and did not much care about customer problem ... in this situation the only good thing is one of the store representative told I try escalate to my manager and do the best for you.. but noting happened it is been a week now.

I wasn’t informed that if I put a cash deposit I wouldn’t get my money back if I didn’t return the vehicle the same day I made the deposit. I was told that if I return the vehicle within the 24 hrs of having it there would be no problem on getting my deposit back. When I return the vehicle they told me that wasn’t the policy. Now I have to wait 30 days for a check to be mailed to me. I’m very disappointed and very angry.

U-Haul ripped us off on fuel charges. The unit only had 3/4 of a tank of a gas when we picked it up. We made the mistake of not going back inside to tell them that the gas level wasn't full. we only put 9 miles total on the unit. We even stopped and put an additional $5 of gas in the tank to more than compensate for the small amount of gas used. These individuals charged us $33 and change (E-Z fuel surchage) to refill the tank. That's a nice racket you guys got going there. I plan to dispute those charges. In the meantime I do not recommend this location.

The after hours remote rep said rental couldn't be extended and threatened me with a $200 inconvenience fee. When I got to uhaul at 7 am the store confirmed there were no immediate reservation and extended my rental. After hours rep not very nice. Location reps were wonderful.

Not specific to the location but a better reservation system is needed. The trailer I rented was supposed to be available at a place a few miles from my house. After making the reservation I was notified that the closest location was actually a 40 minute drive in the opposite direction that I was intending to go. Why can't the reservation system show who actually has the equipment at the time or reserving it? If I was charged by the mile such as renting a truck it would have significantly driven up the cost.

I received great customer service from Soloman Cicero yesterday. He clearly enjoyed working there and helping customers to have a great experience. He was knowledgeable in the technical side of the trailers and made for a very positive experience. Invest in this guy and it will pay your company dividends in the future.

After almost one hour or waiting to pick up a trailer to move my car end living the store with nothing because the employee not even know how to do his job and the manager not even help him to do his work after loose almost one hour in the office I received a call the my car was already taken by the police because a was blocking the drive way from where I was moving from. Never come back to this place again.

Poor UHAUL experience from the start. I was overbooked at Windsor Locks, change at the last minute to Hartford, then to Manchester. Not enough counter help at Uhaul and long wait. By switchin locations from Windsor Locks, I had an addition 40 miles of driving, or $40.

Went to pick up trailer and trailer lights did not work. Tried another trailer just to prove it wasn't our truck. Uhaul Rep wouldn't give us another trailer saying they were reserved for other customers in two days and we needed it for five days. He said it would take two days to fix the one with non working lights which would have been enough time for the next customer to get that trailer and take the working trailer instead. We ended up having to go to another city to get another trailer. This was close to self service as the Rep did not assist in connecting either trailer. Not happy

Truck was old, not maintained. Truck blew an oil line and was on the side of the road for hours. Truck was losing cooling fluid and had to constantly stop to replenish. Hoses held with zip ties. Dangerous vehicle and definitely not street worthy.

Before leaving with van I compared mileage and discussed with Manager. There was a problem with the inaccurate mileage and bill still unresolved. I was charged 295. 73 for 2 days and 100 miles upon return of van on 5/26/19 with dolly. Yesterday additional $172.51 charged to my card. All of this should be rectified. This is insulting. We removed items from my deceased son's place and could not leave for about 30 minutes due to a stuck hand brake which was reported to roadside assistance. Yesterday the manager said she would call me back but I heard no call as of noon today. I called again today and the call center picked up an advised me that Sonya, the manager would return a call to me.

The employees at this location were BEYOND rude, we were given a truck that broke down on us 3 TIMES on our way to Ohio. When we went back to the establishment we were told by an older female with long hair that the only way we can get a new battery for the truck (THAT MIND YOU DOES NOT BELONG TO US BECUASE ITS YOUR PROPERTY THAT WE ARE RENTING AND PAYING LOTS OF MONEY FOR HOPING FOR IT TO BE RELIABLE) was if we bought it ourselves with our own money, as if we didn’t just spend over 1000$ for the truck in the first place! VERY POOR SERVICE, VERY CRAPPY EQUIPMENT...I was honestly astonished by the way we were treated. I do NOT recommend anyone go and rent from this location.

Mirror was Lois in truck unable to adjust which made changing lane very dangerous and put myself and my family in danger and my liability at risk . When I told the agent at drop off of the safety hazard and to tighten it up he says he rents them and doesn’t fix them. I am afraid of the next family to use it.

I dropped my rental on time AND clean whoever decided not to make sure my drop off time was recorded as such I was charged an additional 20ish bucks your service department is terrible because you can’t ger anyone on the phone promptly to help with my issue this sounds like corporate is cutting corners to compete but they forget how important human interaction is actually applied uhaul has always been run shoddy I could care less if my 20ish bucks is returned or not I got my cores done but jeeze guys get it together

The equipment rental and customer service were a joke. Broken glass all over the truck, garbage steering and a check engine light that came on. When I arrived back at the location to interrupt my move and return the faulty equipment the woman at the front desk, knowing full well I was there to return the truck due to issues, picked up her cell phone, read a text and proceeded to tell me she just got a hard text message. She went on to yammer bout random things unrelated to my issue. The manager was not on site and still I have to dispute the charges because I'm being charged to for two different truck rentals. I had to call out of work and sit on the phone with customer service in order to just move what I needed to. This place is a complete disaster and joke. Brilliant idea to rent large trucks to the general public with multiple issues and no one on hand to check them out for safety. I'm beyond disgusted with my experience.

Jennifer was awesome. Even better was the fact other Uhaul customers , Austin & Hope, were dropping some stuff off in their unit. Austin offered to help us unload our truck. What a great guy!

This was my first time renting a u-haul truck and storage unit, and I am thrilled. With all the stresses of moving it was such a relief to have had such and easy, straightforward experience.

This U-Haul location was fine for storage. However, the staff seems to know more about trunk rentals and less about the storage and moving processes which was NOT helpful to me.
