Never will i go to this place. From the manager all the way down to the staff---poorly ran place. Overcharged me on truck for 48 hours which i only had for 30 hours or so. Overcharged me for in town move. i literally moved 7 miles away. this place sucks along with the management crew.

I would NOT recommend U-Haul to a friend. There were no issues with this particular location but my overall experience with U-Haul was terrible. I made a 9am reservation for a truck in NY over a week in advance and was told at 6pm the night before picking up my truck that there were NO trucks available. I had to coach the U-Hauls customer service rep through searches for a truck in other cities, and make significant changes to my plans on the night before a major move just to make sure I could exit my apartment as planned. I incurred hundreds of dollars of addition expenses just getting to the location that had a truck, and U-Haul provided me with no compensation for those expenses or a discount on the rental.

I had made a reservation a month in advance for pick up in Basking Ridge which is 2 miles from my house. Mid month I stopped in to confirm my reservation and all was confirmed. I was supposed to pick up at 8:00 a.m. Saturday 31st so I decided to physically confirm one more time so stopped by the Getty station to do so. She tells me “There is no truck”. ?????? Since I expect no response from this I won't type any more except that I had to leave my job, drive to Englishtown (53 miles) to pick up vehicle and had to return it by 11:00the next day. My hired movers could not come Friday to assist me. You do not want to know the rest of the story. Signed Very unhappy in Basking Ridge.

Terrific experience - Chris was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. The truck was clean and comfortable and handled extremely well with plenty of power going up and down through hills and valleys. I had a last minute scheduling change that Yadira accommodated graciously and professionally. Will surely use again.

I made an appointment for my truck a week before and I never got the truck next week Monday and the lady told me they will charge me 20cent per mile I got charged 29 when I called back the office on south river I told the lady Valerie made the note for me.. the lady who answered the phone was really nasty and she hung up... I called back and she picked up and hung I never got her name I was really disappointed.. they should fire the lady that works there.. very disrespectful...

I noticed I was charged about $5.00 for fuel even though I brought the vehicle back with half tank. When I pick the vehicle up it was on half tank( I got a photo to prove that ). I just realized that the contract incorrectly stated that if was over half tank so I take responsibility for not revising it before I left.

I scheduled my truck online to be picked up in Lodi nj. I was then told i had to get my rental truck from this super far location in Marlboro nj. It took over 3 hours to get the truck due to traffic and check in. That time should have been spent moving my things, not obtaining the truck. Furthermore, i was told the truck had to be back at the original time it was scheduled for even though i was terribly inconvenienced By having to pick it up so far away. This situation made me lose the help i originally had scheduled and i was not able to complete my move. Basically i wasted time and money to not get my move accomplished. I'm extremely upset about this situation and would like to be contacted to discuss this issue with a customer service rep. At the pick up location, The blonde at the counter was rude, unfriendly, and didn't even offer to take us while we were standing there. She is not cut out for customer service and should consider working somewhere she doesn't have contact with other humans. I have never picked up a uhaul truck and been told told to go find the truck in back of the building. The truck had a cone in front and the windshield cover in the window. Anytime i have previously used uhaul the truck was started and brought up front to me. The lady who took the truck back was pleasant and professional. I wish we would have dealt with her the first time.

I have rented from here in the past and it has been a good experience. This time, it was not. 1. Your employees should start by wearing masks when they are dealing with customers. 2. At a time like this, having leftover food in the cab when you are renting a vehicle is pretty poor.

I was not able to drop off my truck at my end location and I needed to drive another 90 minutes out of my way to return it. The rep on the phone was rude and not understanding when my reservation pick up and drop off locations were changed and caused me great deal of wasted time.

The only problem which is getting worse not better is someone answering the phones at the Marlboro location. At any time that seems to be mission impossible on reaching anyone especially when u wanna make a payment. To be blunt ur staff is super friendly and helpful. Problem is u have to actually reach someone to actually enjoy the experience U have no idea how much money uhaul is losing daily over that worsening issue but again the awesome staff compensates that to a degree. Hopefully u haul wakes up and starts answering their phones

One U-Box was misplaced. After sending me the wrong U-Box, they found mine two hours later. The furniture pads destroy my wicker furniture. They fused to the furniture edges like clue. Created wholes in my wicker furniture when ripped off the wicker. Please use a different pad.

unfortunately I had a terrible experience with the facility as roof had leak and some of sons belongings were destroyed . the issue is being resolved via insurance claim and the general manager promptly contacted me and filed a report but I was disappointed that I wasn't offered any dispensation from the facility. also there was no light inside the unit which was disappointing .

Advice to prospective renters: pick truck size, day, time, book & check-in online at uhaul.com. Then go to Englishtown and get a key and a truck. My 10' truck was clean, nice and ready to go. Had no problems at all using it. I did watch the mileage and on my way back to U-Haul filled up the gas tank. Give a truck back was easy. Great experience. Thanks U-Haul!

This particular site/store is fine, but the rating above is due to problems I encountered. Arranging to have the equipment brought to the site where original reservation was placed would have elevated the rating... This location was made aware to me in an update two evenings before pick up date, and was very inconvenient. Even upon request, the scheduler would not have the trailer brought to the preferred location. That is what detracted from the overall experience.

The location is great for area but you really do need to do better with the entrance coming into the place it's very confusing coming on route 9. there would needs to be a clearer signs or a better access getting into the parking lot entrance. And even exiting the parking lot it needs to be clear on which way the exit is. I live here and there's too many accidents around there. Also you need to disinfect the vehicles before you turn them over even telling the customer that sprayed a disinfectant it would make a big difference. We had to bring our own.

We reserved/registered for a truck online hoping we could just go in and pick it up. There was only one person working the entire store. We had to wait 20 minutes before he was done registering the client before us and giving them their truck. The computer was laggy so it was taking even longer for the employee to process paperwork. There was a line of people behind us as well. When we went to the truck, we noticed many dings and scratches that were not stickered with the "X". I was concerned that I would be charged for them upon return of the truck. The employee could not come out to verify because he was overwhelmed with getting vehicles for the remaining clients who were behind me in line. In all, it took a little over an hour between arriving and pulling out of the parking lot with the truck. As a result I was late in meeting the people who were helping us with our project.I understand that with COVID, it might be difficult to staff the store, but perhaps in the future you can set up a kiosk or something for those who register online to make it a quicker process. Please understand, the circumstances were no fault of the employee. He was doing the best he could considering the technology and lack of assistance.

I would like to let you know if it was not for Amanda at the Englishtown Location this review would not be a good one. I originally booked on line that was a disaster. Amanda was professional and patient. I will recommend all of my Real Estate colleges and clients to us U-Haul.

I did over 460 miles in 24 hours due to the lack of availability of destination drop off. Had this been a one way trip then the comfort level of the vehicle would have been bearable however after 10 hours the truck really was the most uncomfortable van I've ever driven. Seat very worn and suspension in need to some attention.

Rented a truck in old bridge. Waited an hour and the truck never showed up. So they sent me to another uhaul farther away from my house. So when I had to return the truck, I had to pay extra for mileage that was UHAULS fault... not very good service considering it was UHAULS fault for me ha ring to get a truck farther away from where I live.... so I am out an extra $25 because of YOUR mistake. Thanks..

I was given the wrong truck, I had to make 2 trips, plus I had to put gas in the truck 3 times, plus I was told I wasn’t going to be charged the $100.00 for making the reservation, but I was, they charged me the environmental fee.. I made my reservation for a Saturday but I kept getting calls saying it was a different day.. on the day of moving am going to the storage unit the only person who gave me the up most respect was Victoria the young lady at the storage place. Such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I think after this I may never use them again. I will be calling bc I was told it’s going to take 10-15 days to get my $100.00 back.. I was soo upset I was ready to cry..
