Easier after hour drop off. I could not get the app to work at first. When I did, it kept telling me I had no reservation after putting in my reservation number.

I think the level of competence and assistance of the people working is very much above average ! They made it easy for me to rent, helped me change a reservation to an item i could use better and assisted me in hook up and return. Great Job!

Couldn't believe how excellent the storage was.. Nothing like the 1s that are out there. I would of done More with my original storage options.if I knew how awesome this place was. I started out over 2 years ago based on distance, cleanliness & U box options for my Dads belongings before he passed thinking/hoping hee come home someday. He passed 10 mos ago & finally got the nerve to look @ it, move the stuff out to a storage area to Seperate the belongings he treasured. Wish I knew how nice it was, I'd rather have moved stuff out of U boxes sooner to your inside area prior to his passing. Didn't know about the drive in bay & the boxes would be out of the weather when doing transfers(never really explained or things were different before due to covid or other)

Not problems at all. Personnel were helpful and courteous. Best u-haul experience I've had. I had to pick up the truck at a different location from where it was ordered, but I guess that it is not possible to guarantee a location.

Listening to what a customer wants is key. After telling him I only wanted a truck for the day, he kept trying to push a storage unit. After saying no the third time, it should have been clear. Otherwise, picking up and dropping off the truck went smoothly.

Service was a bit slow as there appeared to be only 2 employees in the entire facility, and the one who helped me was clearly in no hurry to get my rental processed.

Truck seemed underpowered do to poor maitenence. The differential was spinning one tire which means doesn't have limited slip or does not work. Could not finish job. The clerk was nice and took off the 19.99.

Zach was instant fast and very polite. Cargo van was clean and comfortable. Love being able to rent a vehicle or trailer whenever I need one.

Overall location was fine but my original location that I booked at was changed less than a day out and I had to drive 30 mins just to pickup. This is a little ridiculous. I have 44+ locations near me and I get moved so far. To improve don't make customers travel so far just to use your services.

Absolutely nothing. I worked with Brandon while I was there. He went above and beyond to help me with my trailer and get me on my way. He's a really nice guy and very knowledgeable.

The gentleman working was very weird I just found it to be very strange Call me on the phone after I had to truck for 3 and a 1/2 hours. Very strange

I would have given an excellent review were it not for the last 10 minutes of interaction. Booking and check in process was easy with minimal human interaction. We travelled 15 miles to our home then storage unit then back to U-haul. Filled up at the station adjacent and spent $17 for almost 4 gallons. That's a little over $1/mile...There is no way that we should have spent this much, and the person who checked us in simply said the people before us apparently filled the tank just enough to appear full upon returning...he didn't even offer to credit us back anything and just blew it off...so we ended up paying for their used gas. With the price of gas these days, THIS MATTERS. For this reason, my rating decreased drastically. Yes, I'd recommend the location to a friend due to the earlier part of the interaction, but from a customer service standpoint on the return, very poor and left a bad taste...and I would absolutely question the gas tank and not take a truck that didn't register over the Full line.

Completely different at drop off, fellow cane out to the truck, asked a few questions, checked the truck, asked if I would like an emailed receipt, thanked me, and we were on our way in less than ten minutes. WAY better experience.

The only thing I found to be an inconvenience was that there's no garbage cans in the facility and I was told in order to use the dumpster that I would have to pay 15-20$ to throw away a ferret cage, an item about 5 foot tall and 2 feet wide. I understand it's not a small thing to toss but 15$ to use the garbage is a bit steep. So that would be the one change I'd make to the facility is that I'd have regular size garbage cans around the facility, and in the garage I'd have a few common sized dumpster so if a customer decides they need to toss something they don't have to rent a vehicle just to throw it away. Everything else was perfect.

Didnt know the unit was indoors and not a pull up. Wasnt able to get in some larger items because instead of a 10x15, they split us into 2 smaller units.

Overall it was great. I just had a few problems. One was when I was trying to get a hold of someone at the store on the phone and I got an answering service. I drove over to the store and they were not busy. The same thing happened a second time. I called from the garage at the location asking for help with my key card. It wasn't working and no one ever came over to help me out. I did have my money reversed in my checking account, so I will not complain about the extra charge.

Beyond thankful and grateful to everyone here at your McHenry Storage facility. Everyone I met was amazing, especially Caleb. I had a real bad experience with Public Storage (worst storage company on Earth) and you guys have have given me great hope for this service. The place couldn't be any cleaner! Merci.

Caleb was awesome, super friendly, walked me through all of my options, and helped me decide exactly what unit was best for my situation. After we got me all signed up he took me on a tour of the facility and took me to my locker to show it to me. overall a great experience.

Multiple times found the doors that allow people into building either propped open, broken on the open position or of the rails. I even called one night to inform the manager that two of the large bay doors were broken and stick open, He said that he would probably get down there to fix them that night. For a company that charges more because they promised"security" this was not the answer I expected. The final straw was when we came down to get some items from the unit and found employees walking around and not a care in the world while there was an SUV parked in the very first Bay, a Uhaull truck backed all the way up to the cart corral in the 3rd Bay with a pickup parked in front of that made it almost impossible to for my truck and trailer on the 2nd Bay. I started move out after the employees walked through the area and had to MacIver around the cluster that Bday 3 caused and had a their furniture blocking part of Bay 4 and the path way in front of the bathroom. Later that day two of the same employees were scavenging the recycle corral and had an in depth discussion about an art piece left behind. Then one employee took it, moved it behind other stuff and then came back to retrieve it for himself, while in uniform and on the clock because he returned to the desk after he took the piece outside. I moved out between the 26&27th Ave dropped my key card in the key drop box like I was told to do when I started the rectal and then cleaned it out, took my lock and left, took almost 2 weeks before they ever figured it out. I guess the blatant obvious was not a strong suit for these people especially when they had a girl (Paris) who walked through scanning the units with a bar code reader and we mentioned we were moving out. Like I said, we took our lock with us and swept out the unit. And that's another point, the floor in my unit was disgusting with some type of adhesive or polymer that was stuck to the floor and the manager when he started my rectal told me this was on the floor and they tried to revive it but don't worry it won't be my responsibility or charge back. I was able to chip most of it up with my foot so not sure how hard they tried to make this presentable. Of not for the free month, would never have stayed, but we moved out before the final day of contract and then no one answered when we tried to talk to them about issues. Was not the only time we had issues with front desk communication but won't use them again.

All staff were polite and helpful, but Caleb in particular was outstanding! I was impressed w the security. Everything was always clean and well maintained. If I had any problems with my lock(not the slide bar) the staff were always helpful. I will definitely recommend Uhaul McHenry storage!

Needs more larger units. I was able to get a Mid size unit and I'm on a waiting list for a larger one. Staff was very helpful and polite. Not pushy at all like other storage units I looked into.

Service was great when I signed up for the unit. It was easy to get in and out when I needed something. Always clean and the temp controlled portion was as it should be temp wise so you got what you paid for. Closing out the account was also super easy and no hassles. Overall really great rental experience.

The bathrooms need constantly cleaning. The floors are only washed down periodically and you had a great housekeeper you never should have let go. Hope that helps!

Key card worked about 15 % of the time. Employees have a serious lack of integrity; had excuses for everything. It was almost comical listening to their excuses, as if they're intelligent. Will never be back. Recommend you look at training program for the employees, or letting them go.
