Long line to pick up existing reservation. When I got to my truck, someone else had the same truck assigned to him. Had to go back inside to get it straightened out. Time is money and you shouldn't have to wait over 30 min to pick up a reserved vehicle.
Rich A.The female worker had a nasty attitude. When I asked her which way do I exit ( because I was blocked in front and behind me) she answered me with a nasty attitude telling me to go around. I was blocked in so how was I supposed to go around, I don't know. The van smelled like someone spilled gasoline in the back, which made the whole van smell like gasoline making me and my passenger nauseous. Then when I returned the truck, I told the male person working there as he proceeded to pour fabulouso on the gasoline spill in the back and then took the van away. The customer service was lousy. I had a reservation for a 10 ft truck and then my reservation wasn't found, to then get a van.

STEVEN M.Although the staff member trying to help me was polite, I had everything ordered online prior to arrival. I had to start over from scratch and was charged twice for the same thing. It took a surprising amount of time to fix it, Not exaggerating, I was at the register for close to 20 minutes while more than one other customer came and went in the other line. I also bought 3 boxes that did not come with me but I didn't want to go back to discuss it after how long the first interaction took.
melissa Z.We needed two trucks (two different reservations- 20ft & 15ft) for a community outreach (giving away free groceries to those in need in the Middletown NY community). Unfortunately, 35 minutes into unloading the trucks the 20ft needed to be returned for another customer. U-Haul was kind enough to accommodate us and rent us another truck at the end of the day for a few hours. We greatly appreciated the efforts. The only area for suggested improvement would be the lack of communication from the corporate office - emails were sent and not replied to, but local office gets a 5 star! Merci.

The whole inside of the windshield was filthy and extremely difficult to see through in bright sunlight. I would return to rent at this location, but would inspect the truck before driving off of the lot.

I say this because it doesn't matter how people get to the rental location whether it be walk ,taxi or ride a bike there is no reason for them to make comments that we the customers walk in and hear and what really annoyed me is when I was talking to 1 of the guys there who must have a superiority complex that needs to be addresed!!! I have been renting quite often as of late

Ivan R.First I was told that there would be no extra charge dropping it off after hours to find out there is $20 charge second when I picked up the truck I was told it was a little under half a tank I filled it to half a tank before I returned it and got charged another nine dollars! The chick behind The counter was like license no please no thank you no pleasantries. I will not rent another truck from this place again. To be charged another $29 was ridiculous.

Will never go here again!!! Poor customer service!!!!

The man that checked me was great, the girl who reviewed the truck at the end I could have done without that experience. If you don't like your job, than quit. The fact that i could not ask questions without her attitude made me mad. I have rented trucks before from U-Haul and never did I have another charge on my card. We called multiple times and could never speak to anyone at the local facility. When we made the trip up there for a lost key, we were told that they would call a locksmith and then call us to meet him and have the lock cut off. I later got the locksmith charge on my bill when the lock had not been cut and we had not been called. After being told the locksmith would come, I over heard the manager telling an employee just to tell customers in the future that they don't cut locks. After the $50 charge for nothing, the manager went and cut the lock himself. This is the Cliff's Notes version, but because of the lost key and locksmith situation, we didn't have access to the unit for months and basically only got the lock cut off in time for a move to another state.
