First truck offered reeked of cigarette smoke. I requested and was provided another truck. If you aren't charging customers for smoking in trucks, you should be charging violators enough to completely clean the vehicle for subsequent non-smoking renters. The truck I finally used had a few issues: 1. The drivers side door had constant wind noise. 2. The vehicle always started in tow/haul mode. 3. Lack of cruise control was annoying. 4. Heat/vent/air-conditioning was not consistently responsive. I'm a loyal U-Haul customer. This rental was somewhat disappointing.

1. No one inspected vehicle with us. 2. When my driver went inside to report additional damaged places on vehicle which did not have stickers staff decline to inspect at that time as well. My driver requested again - and was told "We'll make a note of it". 3. "Our TouchPad is broken". This is the response I received over and over again when I was told I was done without my having signed the contract. Apparently the mug of pens on the staff are now only marketing props and not understood to be actual tools of communication by your very young staff people. They even gave me a printed out contract.....and when for the 4th time I attempted to push them to get a formal signature from me and was rebuffed I gave up. Now Granted - your the basic common law execution of contract involves the exchange of something for something. In this case my use of your truck for up to 24 hours; I exchange this for a sum of electronic cash. Since I paid for the use of the truck the part of the unsigned contract that relates to that could never be disputed. But all your fine print dudes? especially if I'd been so unlucky as to have the world give me big bad and awful yesterday. I don't think little old fat lady in an electric wheelchair would lose on that one vs. Big Old U-Haul....do you?

Hayley , the GENERAL MANAGER, was at the counter (on the phone) when we walked in. She didnt bother to look at us, or give us a good morning, or a simple Hi...some one will be right with you...nothing....left us standing there, listening to her gripe about her job to who ever was on the phone. 10 mins go by and finally somebody helped us. But it wasnt Hayley, no once she seen we were helped she got off the phone and pretended to be busy with something else. When we turned in the truck, Hayley was on her way out of the building , and yelled over her shoulder, "If anyone call's for me, tell them I dont work here". UMMM....is this how ALL your GENERAL MANAGER'S act ??

I was supposed to pay $7 for the utility dolly I rented, the final invoice showed 2 Dolly's (I only rented one at 4 days rental so 8x the quoted price. Three attempts to get an explanation and still no response. How many other people has this happened to?

Our rental was for 1 day but turned into 2 days and about 3 hours. Imagine our surprise when we we were charged the same rate for the 3 hours as we were for the second day. I guess it's to much to expect a pro-rated charge for the 3 hours. Doesn't do a damn thing for customer relations.

I was charged for 12 furniture blankets, but only got 6. I was told as long as I brought the truck back by the end of the day on the 24th, it was paid. I was then charged another 54 dollars for an extra day, because they wanted it at 9:30am. Not happy at all.

I have rented from this location several times and been very satisfied however; this last rental on Aug 23,2019 was a little disappointing. In the past, I was offered the option of insurance which I have purchased before but this time I was not asked, nor did I request the insurance for an extra charge so imagine my surprise when I saw the extra charge on my detail statement. I also noticed that I was charged an extra fee for going over 100miles. I was not provided with this information when I made the reservation nor do I recall the employee going over any extra charges that may occur. I even mentioned that I would be driving to Whitehall and back a few times. I feel as if they skipped the speech since my name was already in your system and the employee took it upon themselves to add the insurance just bc I had purchased it before and gave me no choice. I havent had any complaints until now. I will be calling the store to inform them as well.

I went by one weekend and the gate was stuck open. If you are 3 days late on the monthly rent they lock you out of your storage unit and won't unlock it until it is paid in full.

Did not appreciate the young women and her displays of unprofessionalism. I was able to talk to a nice guy that helped straighten things out but the entire time the young lady was yelling in the back

Absolute nightmare!! Rented Uboxes. Nobody could give me a straight answer about when they would be delivered. Was not told when they arrived in Muskegon from Cincinnati. Took a week to get delivered!
