The idea of the U-Box was extremely beneficial for my moving situation, and the container arrived before expected. Also, everything arrived safely, but I believe this was mostly because of how we packed everything tight and secure with proper packaging materials (I have worked in packaging and logistics before). My initial encounter with scheduling the U-Box was well done, and all of my questions were answered correctly. The pickup and delivery dates were scheduled correctly. However, I was not told of the $5 PER DAY trailer rental when we picked up the U-Box ourselves to pack it. Also, I was given the runaround the rest of the time by several different departments, and somehow my pickup and drop off dates kept changing without my consent. I also left internal notes TWICE, AND had a representative enter them when they didn't show in the system, that gave instructions on who to contact when it was ready for drop off at the destination address. I was in the middle of driving across country when contacted about delivery. I specifically made those notes so that I would not be interrupted while driving my 3 days from Ohio to California. Not once did any of the representatives follow the instructions without me having to correct something. Three times my pickup and delivery dates were changed, I waited on hold much too long many times, had been hung up on several times and had to start the hold process all over again, and I had been told one thing by one department after specifically asking questions so as not to get the runaround, but still got it anyway. I understand the U-Box department is new, however it has several kinks that need to be seriously worked on.

This pick up location was 25 miles from the one I selected online which was ok but I thought the 25 miles drive back would use up a lot of my mileage. Was glad to see UHaul gave me 30 additional miles to my allowance to make up for it.

Hello I rented a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer this past Thursday and I transported my entire collection of taxidermy animals which are very valuable and extremely important and when I got to my destinations one hour away I open the door and several of my taxidermy animals were completely soaked. We went through a rainstorm and somehow the rain got in to the inside of the enclosed trailer. When I got to my destinations and found out that they were soaked it took several hours to hopefully dry them out and hopefully they don’t mold and all of the hair falls off of the animals there’s thousands and thousands of dollars worth of wet taxidermy animals. So I am very very unhappy with this whole situation that was the reason I got the enclosed trailer to begin with to protect all of my taxidermy animals. I would like to get a full refund of what I paid due to this incident. Rich (330)418-8129

I can’t believe you tightasses won’t install cruise control on your trucks. WTF! This equipment is rented to go great distances and no cruise control for better fuel economy? I averaged 8 mph, a travesty. Additionally, the fuel pedal looked like the clutch on my dads old farm tractor- literally a 2” piece of steel to push on. Never will I rent from U-Haul again. Worst truck I ever rented.

Person at the counter told me 'call this number when you reach your destination and we will tell you where to drop off the truck'. When I called, they were gone for the day. There was no one else to contact except for emergency line. Emergency line then told me to drop it at the nearest U-haul station and to call the next morning to let them know where I dropped it off. So I did just that. I told a lady in the morning where I dropped the truck. Come lunch time I get a call from a pissed off U-haul employee 'So where did you leave the truck'? If you want to provide good service, make sure you: 1.Do not sound accusatory towards your clients. 2.Communicate among each other. 3.Do not ask the client to call a number that is going to be off service at the required time. 4.Actually employ people who know what they are doing.

I was about ready to return the Uhaul and battery was dead. Had to call then wait 15 mins for someome to call me back. Then had to wait just bit over an hour to have someone come by and jump it from Uhaul roadside assistance. I feel that was totally unacceptable. Does Uhaul do maintenance and make sure battery is charged and up to date? If so that information should be disclosed to customers.

The first two employees I encountered at the Uhaul location were excellent. They seemed a bit overwhelmed with the sheer amount of customers in the building, but did their best and respectfully conducted themselves. When I returned my rental equipment is when a problem arose during the 1-2pm . The one male employee in the building had a terrible tone, and proceeded to make comments that had nothing to do with our current transaction, that were very negative. The overall interaction was not necessary and took to much time when I had work to do. I don't know if this male employee just had a bad day, but they proceeded to make snide remarks at me and another person that I was with at the time. This employee may need sometime to themselves or need to be placed in a role they don't need to converse with the constumers. Other than my experience returning the equipment, overall it was a good scenario.

The wait to pick up was extremely slow despite having done nearly everything online. When reaching the counter the clerk says "I was just about to call you because you're late", apparently he didn't notice us standing in line for 25 minutes. Average experience, the cargo van was exactly what we needed.

The last of our 10 boxes we picked up,was not locked and things were missing and broken,which we believe happened in Tenn. at the Old Hickory facility in Jackson TN. That manager was nothing but trouble and a problem to deal with,which is why we wanted to get our last 2 boxes out of there for fear of this very thing happening.

I will never rent from this place again, I rented on Friday to drop off on Saturday It was my daughters graduation from college. The graduation took longer than expected so we were late bringing it back no problem with paying the late charge. Not only was the girl that called rude but so was the manager. This could not be helped and the late charge was not the issue. The rude employees not knowing how to talk to customers. This was at the Whipple location Sat May 4rh at 5:45om

This location was fine, but we were sent here by the butterbridge location which was where we originally had our truck rented. When we went to pick it up there, they didn’t have the vehicle and told us that WE were wrong and that WE had the wrong location even though we had our confirmation information. Luckily we were reference to the Whipple store because the Butterbridge store is terrible. Never recommending that location to anyone.

Pulled into the equipment return bay, 10 minutes to close. Waited 4 minutes and saw no employees. Walked up to the doors and the place is dark. I had to CALL before anyone realised we were even out there. She got us on our way quickly, but it really floors me that the place was shut down as soon as it was.
