As a suggestion, perhaps service rep could accompany customer to the vehicle and give an overview of the equipment and how it works, I was not sure how to operate the windshield wipers. Overall, however, I had a very satisfactory experience.

The 10foot box truck that I rented seemed to need brake work. It did not stop the greatest and had warped rotors that caused bad vibration under braking. Also, the lady that handled my rental failed to tell me about the $20 additional fee for an "after hour" rental drop off.

I called ahead and told them I would be about 2 hrs late. I was charged for an extra day with insurance. Not a huge deal to me as I was late. However I was told I needed to unhook the trailer for the lady working as she could not do it. I didn't exactly mind, but…I just paid for a whole extra day for being a few hours late. To me, that isn't exactly right. Pro rate the time…or have someone capable of unhooking the trailer as I do not work there. What would happen if I got hurt? No one helped me…just go drop it there.

they knowly sent a 30ft box truck with poor brakes out... it leaked brake fluid all over my concrete driveway on a house that is sold... when i returned the truck and told employee about the issue she asked my name looked up truck and said "oh yea the brakes have been like that"

Team was friendly and helpful. TV box did not have bag to put tv in. Also the tech loaded the dolly in wheels down which meant it rolled around when I first drove the truck to load it. I also missed the tech message for the walk around. Could mention it.

Very unhappy. I returned trailer 1 hr and 47 minutes late… and was charged for an entire day… seems unfair since there was another trailer same size in the lot not rented … so I can assume that you lost no money on someone else renting same. I have been a customer many times… I will not rent from you again.

I had to have professional grinding done on the metal on the car trailer because the damage that was present, which a woman tried to ridiculously fix with a tiny hammer, would have cut my car tires and made either one or both passenger side tires flat or completely ruined. This was absolutely not acceptable and caused delays in my move. Also the oil light came on after 400 miles or so and caused me great stress as to whether or not I needed to fix it and with absolutely no time to spare on the cross country trip I just kept driving. How sad that neither the truck or the car trailer were maintained for the customer.

The check engine light did come on about 20 miles prior to my arrival at the location for drop off. I also called the customer service line to double check that I could drop off at a different location, was told yes, then when I got to the different location and pulled up my 'drop off your truck' button... It said 'to start you MUST be at the Whipple location'. So I had to drive from Akron to Canton.

Everyone at this location is always knowledgeable and helpful. Never had a problem before, and this time they went the extra mile to fix a problem created by a different location... I Made a truck reservation a month in advance at the Whipple location for a move across the state. The day before pick-up, I received an email stating that my truck would be at a different location for some reason. When I arrived there I was told my truck was not available and that it "might have been given to someone else" shortly before I got there. When I asked where my truck was, the man could not give me a clear answer or explanation and said I "made my reservation too early" and that I "should have waited until less than a week before the move because my truck probably got lost in the system!" I was livid!!! We lost 2 hours of our busy moving day bouncing between reps on the phone. One rep eventually found a truck for me... at the Whipple location, where I originally reserved the truck in the first place!!

We set up the unit with autopay. We put our credit card number on file. We used the card on file to buy packing supplies. When it came time to pay the second month's rent it wasn't charged to our card. Instead we got a late notice and we were charged a $15 late fee. I tried to call numerous times but no one ever answered. I went to the U-Haul website and used the chat function. I was assured twice that I would receive a call back from the local GM. I never got a call. I stopped in and was treated very rudely by the person who was working. I sent an email to the GM but never got a response. She was quick however to send a notice of a rate increase. Our rent was paid through 9/21 but our account was closed on 9/15. Luckily we had removed our belongings by then. The business practices are unethical and the customer service is horrible. I'd never rent from that site again and would never recommend it either. There are plenty of other storage places around and I'd recommend any of them before U-Haul.

The company needs to have more people to take care of customers so the wait to pick up the vehicle does not take 45 min. I arrived and 6 people were in line. Only 1 person doing his best to take care or customers. Need to staff up to this locations abilities.

I was scheduled to pick up at 8am, i arrived and attempted to do the process on my phone and it said I had to wait for an attendent at 9. Once the store opened the process was smooth and people were helpful.

Horrible customer service. I was placed on hold over ten minutes. Returned the truck 14minutes before closing. I was instructed to use the after hours app. Wasted my data uploading photos.

Our locker was in the rear of the "temperature controlled" building. It was still VERY warm in the building, all the time. It wasn't cool like the front of the building was. Also, it was an extremely long way to walk from the front parking lot....it is ridiculous that they don't allow people to use the rear entrance to load and unload their lockers, especially since the rear entrance is right around the corner.

My only problem was both units I used were at the junction of two and 3 light strings. My corner units were positioned perfectly to avoid being lit. The ceilings are screened, perhaps run strings of lights over the units that would light the insides of each unit.

Picked up a 26' truck, drove it 1,2 miles and it died! Called the woman who gave it to me and all she can say is “I cannot help you” absolutely useless. Repair your equipment properly and don't say all is in good condition when it's not!

The communication between your call-center and your stores needs to be improved upon. I needed to use a car trailer from 9 AM to 9 PM. My original reservation was canceled because of a damaged trailer so I had to drive 30 extra minutes to get another trailer from a different place. They would not give me the trailer unless I returned it by 5 PM because it was already rented to somebody else. The call-center told me I had the use of a trailer till 9 PM. Because of this I did not get what I needed to get done done . I returned the trailer at five

The building was well lit and clean. Originally there were many carts to use. The restroom was amazing. My only slight complaint is the procedure for swiping in is a little confusing. And that alarm probably did some hearing damage. Well done, overall!!

The staff was very friendly. They helped me better than the people I er the phone. I would go to the office before talking to headquarters. However the facility was not good. The map showed doors in the back, they don't work and I was place all the way in the back. The access hours are horrible. Where I moved from in escanaba I had use them for storage it was excellent. I could go in my storage anytime with my key. N. Canton I needed something at 11 pm and could not get it. 24hr access denied During the day it's open and not supervised as well. I will still recommend but the whole experience was bad. The lady at headquarters really mess my order up and she should not be working there. The headquarters are nothing but pushy sells people pushing you to buy

Acess to the indoor units is good when just one person is moving items in or out. However when many people are there doing the same as was the case when I arrived it is very congested and not enough room to maneuver.

I had to drive 50 miles out of my way to get the truck, then I got a text saying it wouldn't be ready until an hour later. Went to the storage unit and I can not Get into my unit only during business hours. My code doesn't work, unloading took a very long time due to the location of unloading docks. I got a text to drop the truck somewhere else and I called and refused to do it. Gas is 5 dollars a gallon and giving MORE mileage is not a reimbursement to transport your truck to and from my scheduled pick up and drop off. I have called Uhaul and they said they can't do anything!

I asked and rented a dolly get to my location to pick up my new refrigerator guess what!?? NO dolly in the truck! 1st thing second they said the truck was on full bring it make on full! Guess what!?? It wasn't totally on full!! But I put it back passed full They did give me back the 10 I made for the dolly I guess

I went in the same day (which is what I selected as my check in online date) and it said access denied- check in not made. I message the dealer from the uhaul website and never received a response. I want a refund. This was an emergency situation getting a family member out of an abusive situation and all claims that you can check in online and it's hassle free was a lie.

Staff always pleasant. Light above my section was out for months, very inconvenient. Bathroom frequently out of order. Sliding door often malfunctioning. When there was an issue after hours and tried calling the number on the sign got a number no longer in service message.

My only complaint is that the last year to year and a half there was always something parked up against the wall in front of our spot making it difficult to back our RV into the spot.

I needed another storage and the man at the desk said none were available. I went online and BEHOLD a unit. They also don't answer the phone! I wish I'd went elsewhere!

Not enough lighting, improper ventilation (smelled), dirty floors and the "recycle" center as soon as you walk in always looks like a trash dump. The rental unit I had with a different company prior to Uhaul was pristine and charged less per month.

I actually moved out if the storage in the 19th if August and due to me not having transportation to get to the facility and check out I had to call, that was a nightmare I tried calling the facility numerous times with no luck I called from the 18th to the 25 if August. I finally reached someone around the 28th. Now my move out date reads the 31st. Customer service is not the too priority with this certain facility. Shame cause I've used U-Haul many times in my Navy Carrier and never had a problem. I will use them again they are a great company just this one time if bad communication and lack of a vehicle in my part will not turn me away from U-Haul I am a loyal customer and will always use them.

Our largest storage unit did have a large amount of mouse poop along back wall and in left front corner despite the black bait box. Unit 2077. Other units currently rented (same time) did not have this issue.

We were satisfied until the very end. We emptied one of our units 6 weeks before the due date and the second one 2 weeks before the due date. SEVERAL people told us we would get a refund on the unused time after our final unit was emptied. Upon completion we were told refunds are not done. This wasn't fair as uhaul could have re-rented these units and gotten double money on them. We've learned our lesson. Next time we will keep the units, empty or not until the very last minute!

Storage was good. Jeff at the whipple store horrible. I didn't appreciate him sending me down to the uhaul store in the drug infested area in canton. He had told me the truck would be available at the whipple location once we arrived @ the whipple store I was told to pickup on E Tusc. After arriving @ the store on Tusc. the young lady could not find my rsvp. Back to whipple the gentleman had to call the manager to get things straightened out. Manager upgraded truck. Rsvp a second truck & Jeff once again screwed up. He was to schedule pickup Canton & return & he did not. Manager once again took care of the problem. No I will recommend renting truck from uhaul location. Jeff horrible poor customer service never smiled & I pray he didn't do what he did based on what he THOUGHT was social economics. I can assure whatever the cost for rental we can afford. I felt he judge me on the color of my skin / social economics. I would like a feed back. Merci

Management and staff at this facility are outstanding and easy to work with. They are very knowledgeable and are always ready to resolve any issues that may arise. They definitely represent U-Haul in a very professional and courteous manner. In the future and as the need arises, we will only consider using this facility.
