Overall the location is clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing I would like is better after hour access to storage. I feel the key card should unlock the sliding door.

When the UBox arrived in Florida nothing went right. My sister who was to receive it lost a days pay from work due to waiting for the UBox to arrive and it never did. Had to be rescheduled. Movers arrived on time both days. Movers waited on the second day for over 8 hours before they got access to the Ubox. On the Rhode Island side of the transaction everything went very smoothly, just very disappointed on the Florida ends processing & communication was beyond poor.

The team was fantastic from the word go. 5 staff and the Manager were awesome, with support and guidance. The only negative feedback was one of the bathrooms at the storage entrance had overflowing bins and bathroom was dirty in the morning. When I went back at the end of the day the state of the bathroom did not change. Also, the one way 20 feet truck needs work on the transmission. It never changes appropriately.

Train your employees to be polite and uphold proper customer service etiquette and decorum. Truck ran rough, guzzled gas. Employees that drop off location were pretty much abominable but that's what you get in DC

I rented a pickup truck for moving. The original return date was for Sunday at 5pm. I contacted Uhaul to extend the rental time. I was granted another 24 hours for the truck to be returned, today, Monday evening at 5pm. I received a very rude call at 12pm today asking where the truck was. This call did put me at an inconvenience for the purposes of the truck rental. I was not problematic when receiving the call; I know I was charged for the extra time, I know I was not in the wrong; if I was not granted extra time, why was I charged extra? I tried to explain on the call what happened and how I called for the extended rental time, but the customer service representatives at the North Smithfield RI location were very unprofessional and rude. I was told “it is not their problem” … if it was not their problem, why did I receive a phone call in the first place looking for the truck? I immediately brought the truck back as they requested and I requested a refund of the extra charge. I will not be paying for the extra time that I was charged for the truck because I did not even get to use the truck for the extra time. I need a refund of that extra money because I was jipped of my extra time. This is all I requested for the store employees to do but they denied me the refund and told me I was wrong I know what I was told on the phone call. And trying to get assistance for this problem has been so hard actually getting in contact with the representative nobody would help me at the stoRe

The gentleman that checked me in on Saturday morning was very rude, not sure how he could be in such a bad mood already by 8 am. The gentleman that checked me out in the afternoon was most pleasant, like night and day for customer service.

I asked the attendant why the U Haul in Florida was so much cheaper than the location in RI . He couldn't answer the question. Can you tell me why it cost me nearly 4 times the price when I got it in RI.

Communication fell apart a couple of times. Firstly, almost every time that I called and was put on hold, the call got dropped somehow. One of those times the person who put me on hold called me back immediately, which was great. Secondly, I think the person who called to tell me when the ubox would be delivered used the "pick up" instead, and we misunderstood each other. This caused the ubox to be delivered late evening rather than mid afternoon. Other than that, the process went smoothly, and we are satisfied with the move. I would use ubox again.

Get better customer service. Had a unit with you guys for close to 6 yrs maybe more. Went with the place across the street when your customer service went down the drain. You should really reconsider your late policy and the exemptions for long term customers. I will never even use uhaul to move again. That experience was a disaster also bc of unwarranted and unknown fees and rules. Get it together uhaul.

The gentleman I returned the vehicle to was very professional and polite and very good with people as was the receptionist I rented the vehicle from. Such a difference from the U-Haul I used previously in Cumberland. Those guys deserve a raise.

I have been thoroughly impressed with this experience. My local UHaul in Clinton, MA - Luis and Millie were so helpful in advice of all kinds - from rope, to locks, to 2 Uboxes etc. I was there almost every day asking more questions. Having the 24 pads included in the price was very helpful. The drop off and pickup drivers were excellent. My only suggestion would be that the website was sometimes clunky - it would say “too many re-directs” so it was hard to see my account and make any modifications on line and the wait time for calls was over 45 minutes. But the SERVICES that the employees performed were EXCELLENT. I would definitely recommend using u Haul

There was no output from the left speakers on the radio. Moving the balance control to L had no sound. It's tough to drive 580 miles with a bad radio.

Facility itself was good. My unit was near the front and very convenient. The man who helped me when I purchased was helpful, but the man who was there the last two times and closed me out seemed preoccupied moving vehicles outside.

My overall experience of this facility was excellent. My only complaint is I had my unit emptied on the evening of the 6th and contacted them on the 7th that I was moved out and I am charged a full month's rent for being over by one day.

Overall the rental was not ready at the first location and I got the run around the person never dropped off the truck and they could've called me before I wasted my morning there waiting on a truck that they didn't have , the second location had a truck but the transmission to the truck sucked and the truck rolled backwards, the truck was loud and was hard to get the staying in one lane , it was just a very bad experience all around will never recommend uhual to anybody

I would choose this storage facility again having had a very different experience at another facility. I wish I'd gone here in the first place for my storage and equipment rental needs. Staff were courteous and helpful and facility was clean and well lit.

Store told me i was all set after i filled my box, then they put it into storage rather then ship it. I arrived in WV and over a week and a half later then i was quoted, my box shows up. If i hadnt decided to stop in to location near me to see what was going on, id still have never recieved my box. Called the store many times over the course of a few days with no answer, instead rerouted to customer service line that had no clue what was going on. Manager of North Smithfield customer store needs to do better. Rather then sitting outside vaping or being on your phone, do your job. I asked if my box was all set to deliver, i was told yes and that id pay once i was in WV. Not the case bud, i would have been charged proper if you sent my box out as requested. Honest opinion, id either retrain him or outright fire him. On the plus side, the zipcode 26101 crew need a raise! They found my box, sent the order to ship it, called when it arrived, and brought it to me new home. I really appreciate their help fixing RI's mess

Our experience with Uhaul was perfect! The communication was exceptional! The men and women that dropped off and picked up the Uboxes were wonderful, very friendly and very professional! Every time we called customer service the people we spoke with were knowledgeable and kind! The way we were able to plan out the dates worked so great for our move. We are so thankful to have found Uhaul Uboxes. The whole experience from beginning to end was a great experience. We highly recommend using this service to anyone. Thank you very much!

The vehicle rental I received was great. My only feedback is that the cab and engine seal compartment was not properly sealed and blew very hot air onto feet when using accelerator and braking controls.

I had a great experience and will not only you your company again , but also refer friends and family to your north Smithfield location. Since my visit I have actually invested in your father Company on nasdaq when seeing how many new areas of profitability you have added over the last couple years. My only suggestions would be since asked are 1- have a larger staff on duty at 7am- 2- remove your 20$-100$ fee for returning the rental early and leaving keys in the drop box.

To improve for other customers don't keep switching pickup locations while you are scheduled to pick up a truck. The run around is crazy and you don't get compensated for your own gas and mileage that it takes to drive to three different locations after you had a truck reserved for three weeks.

I reserve a car trailer 2 days prior abs the day of pick up they don't have anything so I have to drive a extra half hour towards the opposite direction where I was heading to do the tow And I call customer service they lie and told me I was going to get a $50 refund once I return the trailer and no I paid full price for the trailer

The U-Haul representative was great in helping me. I somehow booked the wrong location because the website used the location the time of booking on the website. She notified the location I accidentally booked and canceled. She was able to get me the trailer I needed. She hooked and unhooked my truck conveniently with no time wasted. Amazing how fast she worked.

Had trouble finding the unit at first; was expecting more space based on the pictures and description online, but somehow the movers made it work! Was told a lock would be in the unit, but there wasn't.. went to the office and they gave me a free lock without any issues. Overall, smooth move-in experience.

After two years of continued patronage and receiving yet another letter stating my rent would be increased by $10 yet again I had to make the decision to close the account. This rate increase would have put the SMALLEST unit at 85 dollars before taxes. My personal opinion is that you will continue to loose customers if you continue to raise rental rates for existing clients. If anything you should be lowering the rates of clients that are loyal.

I had an emergency move, called in the AM to reserve both a truck and a unit. Both we were to go when I got there. In and out in about 10 min, friendly and informative employees. Highly recommend this location!

I'm very displeased that when I moved out was it was 3 days after I paid my monthly monthly Is rent of a $109 I got nothing back pro rated it's braided so 3 days of storage cost me a $109 that's a corporate America rule that is that is just wrong you guys rip me off like $90

The Unit I rented via online move-in had apparently already been rented to someone else, and a computer error allowed me to book it. There were no comparable units available so I took a smaller one. While disappointing, the staff were very friendly and as helpful as possible. The facility is highly secure and well maintained. Still glad to store my things there.

This U-Haul location is the best U-Haul location in my opinion, and I have been a customer of U-Haul periodically since the 1980's! Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I believe those areas are in the national services like the long wait times when calling the national number (but when you get a human rep, they overall do a great job!).

After some confusion, the N. Smithfield agent pivoted quickly and made the situation better than expected. I had called earlier in the week and was told the unit was on the ground floor. I asked the person to verify three times because I was told prior it was on the second floor and only a 5x10 unit was available on the first floor. Upon arrival, we were correctly informed the unit was on the mezzanine up 10 steps. No good, especially considering we were storing an upright piano (500 lbs.) Next issue: I had ordered the 5x8 trailer from the N Smithfield location for expediency purposes, then it got unilaterally changed to Cumberland. This added an extra 90 minutes to/fro twice of waste. As you probably know, wasting time on a moving day is not a good thing. Thankfully the person at Cumberland and N. Smithfield were very kind, polite and professional. If they had been disasters, the rating would have been POOR mainly due to the jerking around of reservations and conveyance of inaccurate information leading to undue stress. However, the EXCELLENT onsite agents saved the rating and greatly reduced the stressful situation. U-Haul REALLY needs to get the people with COMMON SENSE and CUSTOMER ORIENTATION on the phone and within reservations. Eventually more and more customers will realize there are other options with equivalent or less induced stress. This type of silliness undermines the U-Haul trade mark. Ultimately the behavior will lead to a Hertz-like business collapse. The customer interface must be crisp on all fronts to be long term successful. Best regards.

The customer service was fantastic. I used to rent across the street at cubesmart and it was a nightmare. The people at uhaul go above and beyond and the facility is super clean, easily accessible and safe. When I need storage again, I will definitely be back.
