I went a total of 15 miles... Gassed up prior to returning truck, to my surprise, it took 3 gallons. I complained that I just paid for someone else who used it prior. Attendant said there's nothing else he can do!KENNETH K.

I had nothing but trouble because I paid weekly for my storage area. I kept getting letters every day saying i was behind in my payments. I am out of there and the last letter I got from the office said you owe me $10,1 and I would like my money. The worker who gave me my trailer was unpleasant. He kept sighing, eye rolling, getting annoyed. I tried to converse with him pleasantly and even try to cajole a customer service worthy attitude by joking and being sympathetic to working. Nope. Somewhere thru the communication something went wrong we hired a moving company thru uhaul and they were picking up the box unloading it and bringing it back but when they got to uhaul the order was to access the box only so we had a 2 hour delay because the box had to be pulled out from storage and set on the trailer In the end it worked outCynthia J.
It was very frustrating and disconcerting that they would not accept our company credit card information over the phone even though it is saved online in our account. An employee had to take an extra trip which was an hour of driving round trip because you needed the physical card. Will think twice before renting from you again.bomby S.
After such a wonderful pick up experience I didn't think it could get better but James was so kind and helpful! I pulled up to the wrong end of the building and he walked all the way around with me and helped unhook the trailer and move it. I was very appreciative as I did not want to back it up. My pick up location was changed 4 times from my original reservation. My available truck size also changed multiple times, and the moving blankets I ordered were not available as requested, meaning I had to travel to another location. My U-haul experience has been awful from day 1. The Oxford facility did NOT help me at all. First they did not have my original reservation even after I confirmed twice before my arrival. I was told to make sure to book my u box to be moved BACK to the Oxford location 2 weeks in advance and I did. I called twice Again to confirm and when I arrived it was NOT there! It was at the Eddie Dowling location. The manager was super helpful and with his help I was able to get my daughter moved into her dorm on time. The Eddie Dowling location is great and has a great staff. The Oxford location is awful and I would never recommend it to anyone!Connie G.

When the UBox arrived in Florida nothing went right. My sister who was to receive it lost a days pay from work due to waiting for the UBox to arrive and it never did. Had to be rescheduled. Movers arrived on time both days. Movers waited on the second day for over 8 hours before they got access to the Ubox. On the Rhode Island side of the transaction everything went very smoothly, just very disappointed on the Florida ends processing & communication was beyond poor.Ethel S.

The team was fantastic from the word go. 5 staff and the Manager were awesome, with support and guidance. The only negative feedback was one of the bathrooms at the storage entrance had overflowing bins and bathroom was dirty in the morning. When I went back at the end of the day the state of the bathroom did not change. Also, the one way 20 feet truck needs work on the transmission. Train your employees to be polite and uphold proper customer service etiquette and decorum. Truck ran rough, guzzled gas. Employees that drop off location were pretty much abominable but that's what you get in DCJohn W.
I rented a pickup truck for moving. The original return date was for Sunday at 5pm. I contacted Uhaul to extend the rental time. I was granted another 24 hours for the truck to be returned, today, Monday evening at 5pm. I received a very rude call at 12pm today asking where the truck was. This call did put me at an inconvenience for the purposes of the truck rental. I was not problematic when receiving the call; I know I was charged for the extra time, I know I was not in the wrong; if I was not granted extra time, why was I charged extra? I tried to explain on the call what happened and how I called for the extended rental time, but the customer service representatives at the North Smithfield RI location were very unprofessional and rude. I was told â€œit is not their problemâ€ â€¦ if it was not their problem, why did I receive a phone call in the first place looking for the truck? I immediately brought the truck back as they requested and I requested a refund of the extra charge. I will not be paying for the extra time that I was charged for the truck because I did not even get to use the truck for the extra time. I need a refund of that extra money because I was jipped of my extra time. This is all I requested for the store employees to do but they denied me the refund and told me I was wrong I know what I was told on the phone call. And trying to get assistance for this problem has been so hard actually getting in contact with the representative nobody would help me at the stoReJuan R.

Communication fell apart a couple of times. Firstly, almost every time that I called and was put on hold, the call got dropped somehow. One of those times the person who put me on hold called me back immediately, which was great. Secondly, I think the person who called to tell me when the ubox would be delivered used the "pick up" instead, and we misunderstood each other. This caused the ubox to be delivered late evening rather than mid afternoon. Other than that, the process went smoothly, and we are satisfied with the move. I would use ubox again.Miriam B.
Get better customer service. Had a unit with you guys for close to 6 yrs maybe more. Went with the place across the street when your customer service went down the drain. You should really reconsider your late policy and the exemptions for long term customers. I will never even use uhaul to move again. I have been thoroughly impressed with this experience. My local UHaul in Clinton, MA - Luis and Millie were so helpful in advice of all kinds - from rope, to locks, to 2 Uboxes etc. I was there almost every day asking more questions. Having the 24 pads included in the price was very helpful. The drop off and pickup drivers were excellent. My only suggestion would be that the website was sometimes clunky - it would say â€œtoo many re-directsâ€ so it was hard to see my account and make any modifications on line and the wait time for calls was over 45 minutes. But the SERVICES that the employees performed were EXCELLENT. I would definitely recommend using u HaulMarie S.

Store told me i was all set after i filled my box, then they put it into storage rather then ship it. I arrived in WV and over a week and a half later then i was quoted, my box shows up. If i hadnt decided to stop in to location near me to see what was going on, id still have never recieved my box. Called the store many times over the course of a few days with no answer, instead rerouted to customer service line that had no clue what was going on. Manager of North Smithfield customer store needs to do better. Rather then sitting outside vaping or being on your phone, do your job. I asked if my box was all set to deliver, i was told yes and that id pay once i was in WV. Not the case bud, i would have been charged proper if you sent my box out as requested. Honest opinion, id either retrain him or outright fire him. On the plus side, the zipcode 26101 crew need a raise! They found my box, sent the order to ship it, called when it arrived, and brought it to me new home. I really appreciate their help fixing RI's messMichael G.

Our experience with Uhaul was perfect! The communication was exceptional! The men and women that dropped off and picked up the Uboxes were wonderful, very friendly and very professional! Since my visit I have actually invested in your father Company on nasdaq when seeing how many new areas of profitability you have added over the last couple years. After two years of continued patronage and receiving yet another letter stating my rent would be increased by $10 yet again I had to make the decision to close the account. This rate increase would have put the SMALLEST unit at 85 dollars before taxes. My personal opinion is that you will continue to loose customers if you continue to raise rental rates for existing clients. The Unit I rented via online move-in had apparently already been rented to someone else, and a computer error allowed me to book it. There were no comparable units available so I took a smaller one. This U-Haul location is the best U-Haul location in my opinion, and I have been a customer of U-Haul periodically since the 1980's! After some confusion, the N. Smithfield agent pivoted quickly and made the situation better than expected. I had called earlier in the week and was told the unit was on the ground floor. I asked the person to verify three times because I was told prior it was on the second floor and only a 5x10 unit was available on the first floor. Upon arrival, we were correctly informed the unit was on the mezzanine up 10 steps. No good, especially considering we were storing an upright piano (500 lbs.) Next issue: I had ordered the 5x8 trailer from the N Smithfield location for expediency purposes, then it got unilaterally changed to Cumberland. This added an extra 90 minutes to/fro twice of waste. As you probably know, wasting time on a moving day is not a good thing. Thankfully the person at Cumberland and N. Smithfield were very kind, polite and professional. If they had been disasters, the rating would have been POOR mainly due to the jerking around of reservations and conveyance of inaccurate information leading to undue stress. However, the EXCELLENT onsite agents saved the rating and greatly reduced the stressful situation. U-Haul REALLY needs to get the people with COMMON SENSE and CUSTOMER ORIENTATION on the phone and within reservations. Eventually more and more customers will realize there are other options with equivalent or less induced stress. This type of silliness undermines the U-Haul trade mark.
