I attempted to return the trailer at Sunset Market neighborhood location as it was the "nearest" to me. I was rudely told by clerk that they would not take trailer. And this was confirmed by manager on the phone. This forced me to drive further into Tampa during rush hour.

I had reservation for a 26 footer truck at 12pm. At time of pick up they rented my truck to someone else and They didnt put me in another truck. I called 1800 uhaul and they told me to call dispatcher which they never answered and both times i waited on the call 45 mins. After 2 hrs waiting one of the ladies gave me a 20 footer. I'm really disappointed with this service.

Make sure they know The self check in and out took 5 mins and no line... 24/7. Worth downloading the app and you can even purchase in the store and skip the lines.

The Uhaul staff and team worked really hard at taking care of everyone. UHaul needs to definitely hire more team workers, the staff were doing too many other tasks, and it just did not look good for management. Sincerely William Van Orman Tampa, FL

Alot. I arrived Saturday at 8AM to pick up my truck which was reserved on Wednesday. I was promptly told there was not any trucks available and nothing could be done. The employees seemed to show a lack of concern for the frustration it caused. There were several trucks in the lot but I was told I could not have one as they were reserved already, so was mine but clearly it did not matter. I was eventually given a 26foot truck which was quite inconvenient as it had to park on a residential street to load it because it did not fit in either driveway. I also requested a utility dolly and only appliance dollys were available which proved to be pretty useless for my needs. Overall I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. Only 1 employee in the location truly attempted to resolve the issue by calling the GM to see if I could take one of the larger trucks.

Train your personnel better. I was incorrectly charged and no one knew how to correct the charges. They had a meeting to decide if my OEM Ford hitch would pull a 5 X 8 trailer. The Trai itself was dirty with oak leaves and such. Very unpleasant experience I must say. Craig Vogler

The people who work at Uhaul are working hard and are doing what they can, but spending Saturday morning at Uhaul is enough to make you buy your own equipment. U-Haul Corporate needs to hire an operations and IT consulting firm and revamp its entire company. The IT systems and operations at the rental locations are sub-par. The people are doing what they can, but the whole process is very 1995 and sucks. Took me AN HOUR to pick up a trailer AFTER I spent 10 minutes reserving, registering and checking in online in advance, including uploading credit card and drivers license photos. The return process was less of a hassle, but then three days after returning the trailer (same day rental, only had it 8 hours) and being helped by two employees who said I was "good to go", my credit card was charged an extra 180 $(three times the original payment) for the trailer I "still had" and that took a couple phone calls to straighten out. U-Haul needs to be acquired by Uber or someone who knows how technology and logistics and customer satisfaction work together in the 20th century.

Customer service is horrible here. Equipment was not on my truck. Had to drive back to location to pick up equipment and was STILL charged for the mileage and equipment. Will never go here again.

We always rent from here because the equipment is in good condition. However, this site is very busy and needs more help at the front desk. Customers are waiting in line for a long time, with only one person knowing what to do. This should be an excellent location with the right staff.

I waited over 45 minutes to pick up my truck and leave the Uhaul location! I was asked to use my phone to take pictures and verify the dents and scratches on the truck. The U-Haul app crashed and would not work. I then just used my phone and took pictures. I had made a reservation so I could be processed quickly in the morning. There was only one person working the counter when I arrived and waited almost 25 minutes before someone else came to the front to assist.

The service is good. Been a customer for over 30 yrs and never had paid mileage on a day rental locally other than that was satisfactory. Still would highly recommend this location on Florida ave by Fowler ave. Thank you to Guillermo for his help and customer service.

I got charged 55 dollars for gas when my gas was the same as I got it and I turned in the truck overnight didn't know where to park it and called their number during the day to ask what to do about returning it at night and was on hold for more than 1 hour each time and never got an answer but then they charged me a 20 fee for parking it in the wrong spot. Terrible service.

Using U-Box for my move was one of the single worse decisions I have made regarding moving services. I have made many moves over the years due to my job and this experience with U-Box and in part U-haul in general has been exceeding unpleasant. First off. I had called to schedule these two boxes to be ready for pickup on April 9 in late March. Then I directly call on April 7 to the North Tampa facility to confirm my move on April 9th. They informed me that they can be a little slow at the facility so I elect to schedule the pick up of the boxes at 9:00 AM and received a confirmation text while on the call with the agent. At that call I ask if there would be an issue if my father-in-law picked up the boxes as his truck was equipped with the necessary tow hitch, at this time she informed me that the two boxes would have to be on separate trailers as they do not have any two trailer boxes at that facility so we had to make 2 trips. Less than convenient! Fast forward to the day of the move, we arrive at the North Tampa U-haul facility at 9:00 AM with the attendant on duty stating that they had “No idea, we would be coming to pick up the boxes today.” The attendant needed to see if they could move the boxes at all that day. The attendant did take it upon herself to get a forklift and load the trailer which sounds like a great help until she demonstrated she did not know how to drive a forklift and admitted as much to my father-in-law. Finally 3 hours later than expected my father-in-law arrived. The movers we had hired to unload the boxes had graciously elected to stay and unload the box. It then took an addition 3 hrs to get the second box loaded with another forklift adventure. Similarly our movers stayed and unloaded the second box but we were required to pay for the additional time. All told these U-boxes added additional moving expense and hassle I was not expecting. I have always had successful moves using U-haul trucks and services in the past but these U-boxes and the costumer service surrounding them has greatly affected my view of the company. I don't see myself recommending U-haul and definitely not U-boxes to anyone. Thank you for your time.

This location only had two employees working and the manager, Beverly was wonderful. She was answering the phones booking people in and out and pulling up the trucks, while the guy was pulling them in and cleaning them. Everyone in the lobby was angry. I waited an hour for my turn. I had to tell all the customers in the lobby to stop being angry with her she was trying her best. I believe she had to stop and cry, Beverly. I can't believe how hard she was working, almost by herself. She was great. I shouldn't have to explain to all of your customers that it is not her fault, it is eighteen her bosses fault or the corporations fault we were al waiting so long. I had to Keep an eye on her and tell YOUR customers to stop being mean to her. A higher mama her than hers need to step up and get to hiring ASAP! I was in the phone with uhual four times yesterday with wrong booking that was not my error and I had a horrible experience with this company yesterday!!!!!! My entire Friday was ruined because of this Uhual company and I had to spend my evening sticking up for YOUR manager, watch the video, I dare you...! The general manager needs to step up!!!!!!

The inside of the back was dirty I had to sweep it out before I could put my belongings in. The back of the truck to pull down to close was stuck at the top, it took my son 45 minutes to a hour to finally let it down. The last Uhaul rental in February the back inside rain water had gotten into the truck and wet some of my items, I was not to happy with that.

Fix the app, had to go in to finish the check out. Check out was easy but surprise to find a convenience charge if dropping off outside of operating hours when the purpose of app check in is to avoid inconveniences. Then the checkin process was strangely simplistic without any contact with employees. Made no sense why it had to be done during hours.

Although the staff was helpful, the situation was a disaster. I made a reservation on line for the biggest storage unit and when I got there the storage unit I reserved was already occupied. This caused me to have to get a smaller unit which makes my life more hectic than it already is, due to having to pull everything out each time I want something out of the unit. Not only that every time I book something with Uhaul the name that shows up on my reservation which is not my name but it is all my information every time the staff has to go in and fix it so it can reflect my name. It would seem as though it could be permanently fixed by now but it is not.

I had to try the key in several trucks before I found the one that fit. The truck smelled of smoke and the AC at one point started blowing hot air without any adjustment to the settings. The location is convenient.

I've been using Uhaul for a long time to rent trailers and this has to be the most unorganized location I've been to. What is usually a 10 min (max) process is about 30+ minutes here. While the staff seems nice it doesn't make up for the disorganization. I'm honestly shocked this is a corporate location.

The movers that were picking up the Ubox tried for hours to get ahold of someone at the local site and had very difficult challenges. The Fl site was not helpful. The Oregon site where the boxes were shipped from were very helpful.

I was giving the wrong unit twice, both in which I moved in and had to move out within a hour. Then I was told to go to another location. When I tried to leave my gate code didn't work. When I finally got out of the gate and arrived at the next facility, my coffee didn't work to get into the facility. By this time the physical office had closed, so I was forced to keep the Uhaul over night because I did not have access to a storage unit.

The storage facility was clean and well maintained and easily accessible. But the representative I worked with to check in was a bit rude when I explained that I already had a disk lock and did not need to purchase one. Additionally I was a bit confused with the insurance. I added it on for my first month and asked if I could take it off for the second to save a bit of money since for the second "month" as I will only be in the unit for three additional days. At this point I was told the insurance was mandatory even though it is billed as optional when I selected the unit online. It's completely fine if I need to have the insurance I was just a bit confused as that was the first time I heard it referred to as required.

I felt cheated by a unit with steel column taking up approx 4 square feet in almost dead center of my floor and was given a paltry discount which took 3 months to finally be given. And then when I was I think 6 days late moving out they tried to charge me for an entire month. Then Katrina told me to talk to Marcus to settle it , he gave me a price of half a month , a week more than I used , and then they sent me a bill for another half month even after I moved out a week before the half month I paid for . My worst experience with U Haul in over 50 years of dealing with them .

The staff at this location were great! I had just arrived in town and was exhausted from drive and wanted to get unit and unloaded quick. All of staff were professional and very polite. It's like they determined to make sure my experience was great. Thanks to all! Very pleased with my first experience with U-haul storage facility.

I did not like the three steps from the street entrance to the storage unit. It caused me a lot more moving work. I also didn't like the fact that you raised the price without notification

My unit was located in an no light zone. I went to get my belonging from the storage and there was a roach inside my box. All my boxes was left outside my home. Having to treat for roaches is no joke

A few requirements I wish had been explained prior during phone confirmation instead of once on site deposit charges depends on payment methods and that you have to buy their lock not an option.

Ive had a good experience, but find your 10 $a month fee for 24hr access steep n inconveinent. Perhaps allow for 3 after hours visits a month before a fee is leveied or similar.

Delivery of u-boxes was not on time as promised. Office person stated was "too busy" to return my calls and "didn't have the number of the delivery driver." It cost me 135 $due to 5 1/2 delay!!

This facility was great. The store I rented my trailer in grapevine was not it's on William D Tate. I filled a complaint and after several calls they didn't resolve my complaint. So sad!!!

So thanks for spamming my email with 136 emails for this review ._. Waited 3HOURS for the manager to get my box UBox. ONE guy in lobby did EVERYTHING. Manager rude & unhelpful. Jock was the real hero.
