I was very impressed with my experience at this Uhaul location compared to other experiences. I was mostly impressed with the employee Muhammad and his patience while dispatching my truck, answering phone calls, and dealing with computer slowness. Very calm demeanor which I wish more people had. I'll use this location again based on this experience.

It was a Saturday morning so it was rather full but the gentleman at the front counter seemed to be all alone in the facility and also did not seem to be very experienced so people were coming in faster than he could get them out. Many people in line were upset. Additionally, I was told that if I returned the truck with additional fuel I would get a credit on my rental which did not happen. Jason B.Our pick up time was 8:00. We arrived a little before 8:00 and were third in line with just one guy at the counter. It was 8:30 before we were hooked up and ready to go. A lady employee arrived around 8:20 to help, which did get us processed faster. But when you have three customers scheduled to pick up at 8:00, I recommend having enough staff to move them through the process faster. The gentleman who helped us was very polite and helpful once we got help. Everything other than the wait was great.

I was surprised by the extra day fee - there was extremely poor communication about this excess fee. Very disappointed with Uhaul for effectively hiding these fees.

This particular location seems to always have different people every time we come but they are always pleasant, efficient, and helpful. It's our second home at this point.

I initially thought the -23 was the row number not realizing it was locker 2021 AND 2023. Beginning gas guage was 1/8 lower than paperwork showed. So, you can open when advertised, give customers their full reservation time if it's your fault they couldn't get the equipment on time, and mark the fuel level accurately.
Lezlee J.My complaint is about the truck. The shocks and suspension were so bad that wilt was 5 hrs of hell driving it getting bounced around. Also, my wife had a family dresser with a mirror. We took the mirror off and packed it in the safest way possible. All the bouncing up and down destroyed it. I paid a pretty large chunk of money for a truck that was a hellosh experience driving.

On drop off the guy had a hard time explaining why I was charged the full amount after a deposit. He was unsure. Paying an extra $100 for a same day is crazy! Who know when the hold will drop off. Ron F.We were required to return the truck with 1/4 tank of gas. It was nearly impossible to estimate fuel consumption and we returned it with 1/2 tank of gas. No regard for the extra fuel. No compensation for extra fuel. Also the side mirror on the drivers side would not stay in place above 40 mph. This created a very dangerous and unsafe blind spot situation on the interstate. We informed staff who didn't give a damn. They did give us the managers number since they were out getting a truck. Earlier this year we rented a truck from this same location which did not have functional heat. This was in December. Fortunately our trip was in town and we were able to get our job done while scraping snow from the inside of the truck. We informed staff who apologized. We requested some form of credit for giving us a truck with no heat in December but received nothing. The location is convenient but service and professionalism are almost completely absent. Worth driving to another branch.

JOHN S.Poor communication was the biggest problem. I have never experienced such absurd issues with lack of communication, repeated rescheduling with no notification beforehand, and misinformation/charges for services we were told wouldn't be charged. It was the most frustrating experience to deal with and I would not recommend it to anyone. We encountered problems every step of the way and I couldn't get any help until I emailed their PR team.
Diana G.Since the management change, I've really had poor experiences with the facility. The manager (and submanager? - the former a younger man, the other an older gentleman) don't give the impression of wanting to be there, and certainly aren't as friendly as Brett was. I've been accused of attempting to break for no payment into a storage shed I've rented for years when I went back to get a replacement card (no apologies when they searched their records and corrected themselves). I rent trailers twice a month for business, and my experience in December and January is working with entirely new staff. Not only has my trio time doubled when pick up the trailers, but none of the staff can actually attach the trailers. I have to get out, help them lift and attach the mechanics. One gentleman didn't even bother or help back me in with signaling - I ended up just using the camera on my Jeep to line it up… while he literally stood next to the trailer hitch to guide me in. Worse, on return there is always equipment sitting in the return strip in front of the building, so I have to be creative about where to pull the trailer in to return it. Both of my recent returns have been with an individual who has asked me to pull the trailer around and park it for them because “it's impossible to move the trailer from the return area to the parking lot.†The transition has been horrible, and the customer service and quality of staff have suffered immensely.

Didn't get everything done in Fargo because of that and have to go back this weekend. Will cost me an additional $200. Hotel and fuel. Pretty sad. But I expect no answer from you guys. Guy at location got it fixed, thank God or I would have wasted more time.

I received a phone call from a different employee saying that I needed to be there at 3 sharp, because it was the last pick up of the day and they wanted to close early so they could go home. This was extremely frustrating and ruined my planning I had with a friend to help me with the pick up. Upon arrival after we changed OUR schedules to get there earlier since we were forced to, the worker was extremely rude and proceeded to leave as we were putting the finishing touches on the trailer.

Each time, the staff just says that they can't reach the customer. Well, if the customer is not following the rules that UHaul posts, then have them towed in order to meet your own rules and expectations. Sounds like no one wants to take action, just take the money and move on. This location is very convenient for us but the frustrations out weigh that.

He stayed on his phone, was lazy and complained and wanted us to rent another uhaul for the next day at around 12:30 pm he just started with his 3 guys at 8:20, his 4th guy left early in the afternoon and he wanted to charge us for 12 hours and 4 guys. They took long breaks and an hour and a half lunch that they wanted to be paid 200 per hour for 11 They wanted to put all the boxes in garage. My wife was there for most of this and the one guy said he was going to sue her and said his back was hurting. The guy that left early kept asking my wife to give her my daughters guitar amplifier. I was there for some of it and I have to say that it was a very bad experience. $1 800 for the day. I probably won't use Uhaul movers ever again. My wife wanted to add that they complained about having to go up and down stairs.

They are helpful, the storage facility is always clean and we don't worry about break ins as it is very secure. The carts they supply are an extra bonus and so helpful in transporting your items to the units.

When I got into my unit, there was insulation hanging from the ceiling and when I called to share that, it seemed like it was no big deal and that I shouldn't care. Well I cared because the insulation is there for a reason and with how much this unit was, it should be in place where its supposed to be. Then, when the maintenance person came to fix that insulation, on a very muddy wet day, they drove their truck in our unit and left a heaping mess of mud and water in our unit. Not sure if people realize what goes into these units but its NOT stuff you want getting muddy or wet. I called to ask if someone could clean that up and out and I never got a call back after being told they would have the maintenance person meet me to clean it up. We will not use this location again in the future and I wouldn't recommend it. Also, my move in date on this form is wrong. It was 3/1, not 2/22.

Richard C. | Expérience généraleBret Hanson, the manager for this location, is very oriented on customer satisfaction. The vibe in the facility is friendly and cheerful which is complemented by the large amount of natural light in the office area. Some storage facilities are just bleak. This one is the opposite. Quite pleasant. Irrespective of Bret's management, this new facility is quite user friendly with only a single issue identified. The only changes I would recommend are adding a canopy over the loading dock area, and re-configuring the loading dock entrance to include a second set of automatic doors. This arrangement is present at many newer grocery stores and it minimizes the dust that gets into the building and has a.great impact on minimizing heated air in the winter and conditioned air in the summer. The day I moved into the facility was absurdly windy (as Fargo sometimes is) and the single automatic door at the end of the afternoon was rendered inoperable by a fierce wind from the south that blew directly on the south facing doors.

There is a bus parked in the spot next to it and the bus is angled so it blocked almost half of the spot. I went to the desk inside and the worker cancelled that spot and moved me to a different spot. However, when we went to park our camper the remote would not open the gate. I went inside and there was nothing in the system for me. When the worker cancelled our first spot he must not have reserved the other spot. Luckily the new spot was still available, had it not been I am not sure what we would have done with our camper.

Daniel H. | Expérience généraleperhaps this facility was just not for us. the timer on the lights was irritating, if I was working on something in my unit all of a sudden the lights went out, and I needed to go all the way down the hallway to get the light sensor to turn on again. In the middle of winter the elevator broke and needed to store things in another unit, then come back and move it as soon as possible so I wouldn't get charge for that one, moving in the second level was a big mistake. Didn't have electric in the unit, so if I needed power it would have to be plugged in the hallway.
