The process is far too long. Had to decline insurance multiple times including one last attempt as I inspected the trailer prior to leaving. I get the margin pad, but this is ridiculous. Also, staffing in the morning was one person, Brad did what he could and maintained his composure but it was long wait. The return process was much better.Jesse B.

I dont recommend uhaul at all. They charge my card when I picked the van then charged me again when I dropped it off instead of just paying the difference balance. Basically i paid doubled the day I rented the van, they will give you the money back for depends on your bank how long it will return. They said it supposed to be a hold on but for me it took out the amount from my balance then when Im returning the van I still owe them more than I paid. The rent is only $19,95 but I paid total of $82,6 and we returned the van full tank the only charges was the miles like what happened to â€œuhaul has cheaper rentâ€ but the have other charges higher than the rent I wouldn't recommend this. I showed my receipt to other rental company and they were surprised from uhaul other charges that doesn't make there rental cheaper at all. I will spread this to my friends and families and coworkers to make sure they watch out first before renting. We only rented the van for 2,5 hours and stayed within maryland only 17 miles one way. This policy they have is insane basically I would have to pay them twice of the amount and will get the it back depending on your bank. What if I only have enough money to cover the charges that day what will happen I will have to struggle and find money to pay them twice.Jan Michael B.

A couple of times I had a hard time reaching the correct office - the system would send me to other locations instead of voicemail or something. But, everyone was super helpful and nice.Kristin R.
I was supposed to pick up the truck at one location. When I got there the man was frustrated that I was there for a uhaul rental instead of buying batteries from his store. Then the truck wasn't available and I had to go to a different location. Had trouble locating the new place and then it put me more than an hour past my schedule. So that was frustrating. They would not give me the rental guarantee discount even though I had to drive to two locations.Brittani R.

I had reserved a truck from a BP station in Gaithersburg MD, but when I arrived there was no truck. I called and was told to go to Owings Mills, an hour away. So, two hours of driving was added to my schedule with no notice or apologies from U Hail. This will be my last U Haul rental.Brett D.

I called to let them know that I will be late 20 minutes but he put me on hold for 25 minutes and I walked in while I was on hold and showed him my phone but didn't apologize and blame my phone was transferred to customer service after a while & no apology I made the reservation two weeks in advance but was told he told me this location wasn't confirmed for me to pick upTSIGEREDA F.
The poor guy working had 2 other employees call out / come in late. When another worker did come in, he was slow and not knowledgeable at all. The truck was dirty and smelled of smoke terribly! Windshield wipers were terrible! I drove from Md. to Mass. through lots of rain. Lastly, we were not advised about how to navigate tolls. I would have had my Ez Pass on board if I had been advised to do so.Peg B.

When you return the Uhaul and have someone check it back in, you should provide some sort of receipt to customers with their updated total based on the returned mileage, etc so they know what their total is.Mallory C.

My only problem was i picked a location for drop off that was 15 mins away from my destination. For some reason that got changed when I checked in that ultimately was a place about 45 minutes away with traffic. Not sure why that happened. Was told it was the closest place for drop off but that was definitely not the caseWilliam S.

The truck was clean however the alignment pulls to the right and even with it fully loaded the ride in the cab was very bouncy and uncomfortable. Not a smooth drive at all.Amy W.

I was very disappointed with my experience with U-Haul. I made a reservation for a one-way trip from Mechanicsburg PA to Westminster Maryland. The website crashed 3 times while making the reservation. Less than 24 hours before the reservation I got a call saying the truck was not available. Representative on the phone was not apologetic and I had to work quite hard to find an acceptable substitute. She wanted me to rent a truck 30 minutes away, 1 hour round trip, and two hours later than I needed it. totally unacceptable when I had a reservation. You should not allow a reservation that you cannot fulfill. I would not recommend U-Haul to a friend.David H.
We were supposed to pickup our truck from woodlawn location only to arrive and there was no pickup truck available we were sent to 3 other locations again no pickup trucks available. It cost and caused us to miss a catering job that we were scheduled to be there a certain time .I was very disappointed and there was absolutely no compensation for the inconveniencemichelle J.

Please make sure that if a vehicle has more than 2-4 documented and unfixed damages that they are taken off the fleet and fixed properlyAlexander T.
Verify you're using the correct account before renting out vehicles. Check in and check out properly before renting out vehicles. Verify accounts from previous customers are closed completely. I have been charged for trips to Boston, and Maryland without having ever left the state of Washington.Angela T.

My reservation was changed less than 24 hours prior to my move. I had to get a smaller truck which made it a 2 trip move. I had to pay movers to stay overtime because we had to load and unload the truck twice. Which should have been about a 60-70 mile trip ended up being double the mileage. I made the reservation a week in advance! I will be contacting someone at the corporate level.tula Q.

This was not the intended drop off but the attendant at Finksburg Exxon chased me off saying no more uhaul. It was difficult finding a place nearby and something uhaul needs to fix.Bill P.

There were number of scratches and dents on the truck that we're not marked and the car dolly had a bent handle to ratchet the strap over the tire of my car. Everything went well and we had a great move.Steven K.

Not your employees fault, just a prior customer spilt paint in the back of the trailer. was all dried before I got it. No actual issue though, didn't cause me to have to clean anything up. Employee acutally helped me save money by getting the right trailer I needed. the website wasn't showing me all the trailers possible to use at what price..ANTHONY T.

The specific locations was not the issue....the issues were that the scheduled location by U-Haul for pick-up of the truck was changed 2x. The size of truck booked on-line was not available. Supplies that were ordered on-line had to be picked up at a different location than the truck. Asked for the truck & supplies to be coordinated. No-one could help. Very disappointing.SCOTT P.
