Do not quote me a price and then double it once I get to the location. Also do not shiw a location as available then call after booking to say you switched the pick up location.

Jeffrey W.Everything with this experience went well aside from trying to return my trailer with the app. As I was trying to close out the return. I kept on having issues completing the return. It kept on telling me to verfiy the cleanliness of the trailer but regardless of how manyphotos, I took nothing. Left called in the morning informed them of my return, guess it wasn't settle bc I recieved a call later that day asking if ai still had the trailer! None the less the last gentleman to call me close it and everything ended well! Will use again just verify that if app had issues you can still return after hours!

Pamela D.Truck was clean, but beat up. Truck had a check engine light on. The front end steering was so bad it rubbed the fender when turning and steering was so off constantly over steering to stay in a lane. The dude working the counter though was good employee.
Kevin P.I received 4 phone calls asking to please return the equipment 2 days after my actual rental date. Essentially ending up being charged from 5/5-5/7. My husband spoke with the location twice that it was returned the same day to check the camera footage. Employees agreed it was there but they forgot to check it in. Their forgetfulness caused me a head ache with my bank account because I was over charged more then $100. Always used the location on Rt. 22 in Scotch Plains. I will continue to do so for my future needs. Worst uhaul experience I've ever had.

Kent R.Poor communication, bunch of charges caked on at the end that was never disclosed in the run down of COST at the signing of the contract. When asked why, the MANAGER replied, it's our discretion to charge these fees. I wouldn't recommend this location at all.

Bola F.I AM ONLY GIVING A ONE STAR BECAUSE THEY DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO GIVE A ZERO!!! The location on Grand Concourse and 144th St (383 Grand Concourse Bronx, NY 10451). I rented a 20' truck from them, the seats, steering wheel and cup holders were disgustingly filthy. I had to clean myself, they sprayed water on the floor of the truck to make it look like they cleaned it. THEY DID NOT CLEAN THE TRUCK! In addition, I rented an appliance dolly and 24 covers. I was not informed there would be a surcharge if I did not fold up the cover upon returning the vehicle. They charged my $24 extra on top of the $450+ rental. I called to dispute this charge and the General Manager Mickey said he would not refund the surcharge... even though his staff DID NOT INFORM ME THAT THERE WILL BE A FEE IF THE COVERS WERE NOT FOLDED. Being in the service industry YOU MUST INFORM CUSTOMERS OF ANY SURCHARGES WHICH MIGHT OCCUR. They stuck a small piece of paper in the truck stating there will be a charge for this fee (which I did not see). Very sneaky not to tell customers of this surcharge which is NOT UHAUL PROTOCOL. MICKEY IS MAKING UP CHARGES JUST TO MAKE MONEY AT HIS LOCATION. The fee would be fine if he informed every guest there will be a surcharge if the covers are not folded up upon return AS THEY DO WITH THE FUEL CHARGE! Mickey knows nothing about being a manager and taking good care of his guests, if he did he would have waved the "dirty truck fee" (that is what the surcharge was listed under, because I did not fold the covers). Being that my final bill was over $450, it is totally a shame that Uhaul allows this man to operate as a lone standing business. No other Uhaul charges you to a fee for unfolded covers!!! Furthermore, he stated in a voicemail which I have that he does NOT inform ALL CUSTOMERS ABOUT THIS SURCHARGE, HE IS BEING SLICK BY NOT INFORMING ALL CUSTOMERS OF THIS LOCATION FEE...NOT A UHAL FEE HIS SPECIFIC LOCATION FEE. I DESPISE PEOPLE WHO STEAL AND OPERATE WITH UNDERHANDED PRACTICES. I would have folded the covers up if they would have informed me of this fee!! Note to all readers, Mickey the General Manager is a thief and I encourage you to use another Uhaul location. I have sent this and other emails to corporate and hopefully they will rectify the situation and do something about Mickey's unfavorable customer service practices. Ronell

I called immediately to voice my concerns and the manager did not call me. Got the bill at the end snd despite the fact that I filled the tank they charged me for gas. The 20 rental plus mileage was known. What was unknown were the hidden fees and taxes. I then waited on hold 40 minutes to get a u haul rep in line to discuss mileage charge .. to be determined but in the meantime will be filing a dispute with my credit card service.

His coworker Fryer was no help at all and was extremely rude and unprofessional to every single customer he came into contact with in the store and outside in the parking lot. It was if he was looking to get fired or fight. I've never witnessed anything like it. My reservation was changed without my knowledge, consent, nor authorization. The location locked doors and refused to answer the phone at 6:20 despite closing time listed at 7pm. I've filed a formal complaint and hopefully will get some of my money back from this terrible experience. Never using uhaul again after removing my belongings from storage.

He was slamming doors at customers and coworker, yelling at his coworker who was quietly cleaning and moving the trucks, sighing and making passive aggressive marks at customers, and telling them to "hurry up because he wanted to go home at 5." He also got mad and walked away from me when I said I had to back out of renting a space because they had no elevator and that would make moving in and storing my furniture impossible. This was such an unpleasant experience that I also cancelled my truck rental from this location because I did not want to deal with him again.
