the only issue we had was when we returned the vehicle after hours the self Check In App did not allow me to take a photo when I clicked the Upload a Photo link in the App. My photo option on the phone did not function and I had to close the functionality. I checked my photo functionality outside of the App and it worked fine. I believe it asked to turn off the auto flash as well and I did that with no change. SO not sure what the issue was. That was the only issue I had.

Blatant lie regarding gas gauge. I drove 21 miles, I have a receipt for putting in two gallons and was told I owed 3 more gallons on a 9 foot cargo van that is suppose to get 18mpg. Scam, never again over $18

Matthew and his staff are always friendly and personable. The staff at check out and check in were all pleasant and exhibited great customer service. We've rented from this location multiple times and it seems to be the best location through the years. When we find a business that treats a customer well, we are loyal to them and continue to patronize them. Thank you for going the extra mile. :)

I had a reservation to pick up a truck at a pick up local. Was charged in full but lick box was broken so could not get keys. Called car and was hung up in 3 times. Then rep tried to send me to a pick p that doesn't exist. Talked to a second person who was not working from home on her second day. She actually knew how to d her job and found me a tuck 30 minutes away with no follies I had ordered so had to buy one, you're welcome. This caused me to be over an hour late to meet movers so you screwed me out of $300 before I got the truck. Worst rental of all time. I would rather drag stuff in a cart for miles rather than ever Hire you again. I give you as a company the worst rating possible and I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB. John paradise

I tried a more local place with a zillion trucks in the lot, they said I would have to pick up my truck elsewhere, so I cancelled with them and went with Rt 51 Pleasant Hills which is ALWAYS a great experience although farther from me. Bad part was that local place still had 3 of the sizes I needed on the lot Saturday as I have to pass them daily. I would recommend Rt 51 Pleasant Hills to anyone. LAwasy friendly always professional.

On the other hand, these employees were unwilling to help and their explanations were half hearted and basically told me to pound sand. I rented a truck from FL and drove to Pittsburgh. It took me 2 days to get here but the contract was for 5 days. Nowhere in your online site was it explained that the 5 day charge was non negotiable, I assumed when I placed the reservation that if I took less time the charge would be reduced.. The people at this store told me too bad, we cant help you. We used less miles than contracted also and again, told too bad, we cant help you. They didn't even offer a customer service number to call. Unhelpful and unpleasant.

My Mom had a heart attack and we called cause no one drives asked if they could pick the truck up they said no we won't charge you just keep us posted I did and they still charged her 800 U-Haul sucks I will never tell anyone to use them

i rented truck and it was smell smoke. I am asthama patient and went back to change but the lady was so rude with me, she was saying i am a lier and she went back to that truck and sais she was started and wasent smell but the other guy say he charge previous customer return and it was smoke. To be honest i always rented truck from you guys because it is a close location but that lady is so rude. Seriously she is not deserve to work as customer service/ caisher

Everything went perfect. I was so impressed with the car hauler. It towed better than a boat! We had to go through WVA and the hills were not an issue. So easy to do. Drop off was a cinch.

Pickup was saturday Called thursday and friday and got attitude from staff Schedule 1 month in advance and they couldn't get a uhaul in the location I requested. This added a round trip of an hour. They gave me a uhaul with 1/8 of a tank of gas in the city of pittsburgh. Which I was unable find a gas station big enough to fit it. This ended up effecting my safety. I returned the uhaul with extra gas. I should be reimbursed 40 percent for the disappointing, inconsiderate, and rude experience.

IMPROVE? Lower prices of course!  But seriously ... everyone was really great.. from U-Haul pickup.... to providing an EXCELLENT referral for moving help... to the storage unit. I had a couple hiccups today, and I went to the customer service people for help. They were incredible l! I got more than I expected an so easily. They deserve huge kudos AND raises!

There was some obvious rodent activity and it appeared to be being handled. Sometimes there's only so much that can be done but I was very happy with my long term storage and if needed, I will rent a UHaul storage unit again. Merci.

This Uhaul location has a 'Rodent' and 'Rat' problem. I scene a very large 'Rat' when I moved out. These units are not sealed. Meaning rotten and rats can move from one unit to another. You can smell the malt balls odor throughout the storage facility. The facility looks clean and orderly. Please request and ask to see these units. To see my points. I can't recommend this facility to anybody. They certainly have a rat problem at this location. This is the honest God 'TRUTH'.

Love that UHaul Self Storage has the large flat rolling carts to help bring your items inside. We had 4 kayaks to store and the carts were a tremendous help.

A lot of dirt on stairs and in hallway

My unit had mouse droppings in it. When I showed Jessica, she said she would have some one clean it. Whoever cleaned it didn't clean it all up. There were several locations in the unit with mouse droppings. I loaded my belongings on one side of the unit and will see if someone can clean the remaining droppings. Or I may do it myself. I know many storage units have mice, but at least TRY to make it look like you don't. . The locks don't work well on the units either. I have to go back up to have them drill a bigger hole so the lock actually works. The unit should have been cleaned and inspected before I checked in. I wish I could say I'd recommend it, but I can't right now. Fortunately, I will only need it for a few months. If this were going to be a longer term rental, I think I'd look elsewhere.

The unit was a little pricey, would have been nice for long term rentals to get a discount. The reason we moved out because the rent increased and did not like the fact that you had to pay extra to get in after 10 PM.

The only negative experience is that the larger unit is located on the 2nd level and there is no ramp for moving bulky, heavy items. Walking the steps with these items was difficult.

No one explained to me that there were steps to get to the unit which we found difficult but our main issue was the height of the unit. We had a truck full of furniture that would have been too tall to fit in this unit and also a fridge. I was never told the type of storage I was offered was short. So only a small load of stuff was brought there. I had to rent another place Saturday from A normal style storage unit. The uhaul storage was free to us however the unplanned mileage put on the uhaul truck cost me extra money. I will be contacting uhaul about this because not only did I have to rent a unit elsewhere I now put an additional 20 miles on the truck. And ontop of that I'm going to have to pickup everything I did put at the uhaul facility another day.

Half of the storage units in this facility are accessible only by stairs, including the unit I rented. I will not renew and would not recommend this facility to anyone, in fact I would warn them if the wanted to rent here.

I made several trips to move out. Once, the sliding doors weren't opened. This was around noon, so it wasn't because it was off hours. This made it very difficult to move out using the door, which is down a narrow hallway. I called to let them know it was locked and waited on hold for over 15 minutes. Apparently, you get kicked over to a hotline when you call. She was no help, said to just go inside and tell them. I said I will not, that nobody wears masks that work there, even though it's required by our Governor to wear them in businesses. Once, I came a little after 7pm, and access to the storage units were closed. Online and on the sign, it is posted that OFFICE hours close at 7pm, however it states that access to storage units were to be until 10pm. Wasted trip all the way down there. Because of that, I had to scramble to move out the day of. There is always junk in the parking lot, at least by the loading dock where I frequented. Because I made so many trips every day to my unit, I noticed some used band-aids a little further down in the hallway. They were there for days and to my last day, were still there. Everything is so dark and dingy inside, also. Rent kept going up. Once, I received a notice that they were painting, so they needed to raise the rent to keep it maintained. When they painted it looked fresh and new. However, it was not maintained. I noticed when I was moving out, that several holes were patched all around, but never painted over. So, all you see are all these spackled holes everywhere. Lastly, as I mentioned, nobody there wears masks. It took me over a week, making a total of 30 trips to move everything and so I saw several times throughout the week of employees talking close to customers with no mask on. Whether it be showing a customer a new unit inside, behind the the counter at service, or them showing or receiving storage trucks from customers, they never wore a mask. I saw all customers wear them. There is even a sign in their window to please wear one upon entry. I understand it's inconvenient, I know, I moved wearing one the whole time. Some days were very hot, and yet I kept it on for respect of others.

The unit was clean, but I was extremely disappointed to find that my large storage unit was located on the 2nd floor with the only access to the unit was to carry large, heavy items up steps. There should be ramp access. The unit door height is also very low which made getting oversized items extremely difficult to get into the unit.

PSA - Remove your belongings from you unit BEFORE the start of the new month. I cleared mine out four days after I had paid the monthly fee. U-Haul doesn't pro-rate (so they can rent the same unit out to someone else that I'm still paying for)....

Everything you want in a storage facility. My only complaint is that it is not cheap. I'd be more inclined to use the facility long term if the monthly fee was lower. The current price structure does.

My only ever complaint was that I was told initially that I would have a first floor unit. I have severe arthritis. Instead they assigned me an upper level unit with stair access.

Reserved large unit online. I was given two smaller units instead. It took months to straighten out the payment, charging double for their mistake. Manager was unresponsive. Very frustrating.
