The attendant was not a people person or morning person. Needs to take a Dale Carnegie class to become a people person!

DONALD SNo one seems to know what they are doing. Had to order two more boxes and it took over two hours on the phone and arguing with people who insisted they were correct (they were not). Then, when asked about extra shipping charges for the two extra boxes, they told me they couldn't tell me until they picked up the fully packed boxes and had they back at their site. I asked them if I didn't like the price they quoted after I loaded up the boxes if they would redeliver it to me and unpack it all at no cost, as that policy seemed completely wrong. Eventually, I got someone on the phone who knew what they were doing but it took well over two hours on the phone to reach that point. MCO830 (the local office I was dealing with) was very difficult to reach time and again. It would always roll over to another site. Two boxes were the wooden boxes with a total lack of anchor points and even nails sticking out. Finally, not sure where it happened, but one of the wood boxes had chunks out of the side of the door on delivery that weren't there when they took the box away loaded with our goods. This seems to show how rough they handle boxes. The forklift operators dropping off the boxes on both ends were good but that was about the only good part of the whole experience. By the time our packed boxes were ready for pickup we were so unsure about U-Haul that we purchased air tags to track the movement of the boxes. As when we called them or they called us about the boxes they would say they have either two or four boxes to (pick up, transport, etc) and I always had to remind them we had six! Then, to top it off, they wanted the moving blankets they give you folded else a $25 fee per box applies. We had about 144 blankets from the six boxes. After folding for about an hour (after unpacking, etc), I called the 800- number to ask about this policy. They indicated that this is what was supposed to be done and suggested I call the local office in the morning. Called them and was told they needed to be folded. So I kept folding on the day the unpacked boxes were to be picked up. The driver called to let me know she was a half hour out. I mentioned I was still folding blankets and hoped to be done by the time she got here. She then told me not to fold them and that I just had to pile them in the box. Too bad I didn't know this after wasting two plus hours folding. This is just another example of different answers from different people from U-Haul. Overall I would never do u boxes again and would tell anyone thinking about it to stay away from u-boxes by U-Haul.

THOMAS CI had a great experience with this storage facility. They were very helpful with any concerns I had. The place was very clean and secure. Alarms will be triggered if you go into an area your not suppose to be in which I liked. I will definitely be using them again in the future if I need a storage facility.

EDUARDO POur home was destroyed by 2 hurricanes and we needed a trailer to put some items to take back to Canada. Due to delays we had the trailer for 2 weeks and still had no timeline so we were offered free storage for 1month and jumped on it to save us money.

JORGE AI already have recommended someone. You should give out bonuses to people who use your storage. My friend is coming to Florida too. And we're putting some of my stuff in storage so I wanted to check for her financially to see if she could afford it. It's not that much money, but all the other ones are overpriced and the people. There weren't that friendly. I just got a bad vibe.

KEVIN GThe place was understaffed. The young girl working on greeting and checking in customers had no idea how to use the computer system. She denied we had a reservation, said I could still get a truck and left me stranded when I told my ride to leave and then said they had no trucks. Fortunately, an experienced employee saved the day when she explained to the young girl how to properly use the computer system. I got my truck but only after I had to object to them renting it out to another customer. Nice location, but she had no business working there.
LAWRENCE SThe pickup was not smooth as there were many people in line so getting my keys took about 20 minutes, but staff was friendly and able to take care of things quickly when I was able to be served.
JOHN WI love using UHaul on Veterans Hwy, near Kings Highway. They are the most helpful and friendly.

Nancy EI ordered eight U boxes, eight were delivered. When I opened one of them I found that the side was broken (the bottom was falling away from the side). I called and asked that it be replaced. After five days it was not replaced. I called back and told them, we were not going to use it and didn't any longer need another one. The employee advised that no one noted the call. The Uhaul delivery team advised me that I was still being charged for the eighth broken Ubox ,that was not used. Everything was great except this.

WALTER VA/C fan control was not functional. Very poor fuel economy. Side mirrors were not adjustable. Ladies at front desk were very nice.

He never accepted treats from strangers but he did and I was astonished..I would shout from rooftops to recommend the staff. When we would come by. Sparky wanted to see his new friends. Andrea M | Expérience généraleThe ppl working at the Veterans location had no idea what they were doing including the woman whose name tag read Owner. Owner has obviously never run a business before and had no idea what she was doing to the point where Owner scolded her employee in front of customers, professional managers would never call someone out like that. Owner was unfamiliar with the computer system and had to make 2 phone calls for assistance. I'm sure the UHaul corporation offers extensive training for all levels of employees including Owner, who apparently has no other name.
Wynn WTook a 10 foot truck for 4 hours in town. Drove from Port Charlotte to Punta Gorda. Was charged 82 miles!!!!!! Not happy

Greg B | Expérience généraleAfter making a reservation 10 days prior to pickup. I arrived at the ft myers location at 9 am on 8/10. The uhual agent called me the day prior confirming it was going to be there. When I arrived, they told me it wasn't going to be ready until 5pm today. So I picked up my enclosed trailer and left to pack it. I went back at 5 pm which was a big inconvenience because I needed to be on the road around noon since I was driving to Pennsylvania with two vehicles and two trailers. I arrived at the ft myers store at 5pm, like I was told to, they proceeded to tell me they didn't have the trailer. They called traffic, and found one in port charlotte, so I had to drive 40 mins away to pick it up and then 40 mins to go back to my house. Upon arrival at port charlotte, the two young girls had no clue what they were doing. I had to go find the trailer myself, move a trailer out of the way myself, and hook up the trailer myself. Then the girls came out and took a picture, that's it! I was promised a $50 credit for them not having my trailer. Never got it! I should be getting half off the trailer, for all my aggravation and inconvenience! Especially when I spent over $1100 on two trailers. U-Haul needs to get their customer service and training under control. I will never use them again and I've rent over 10 moving trucks and trailers over the years!

Also I had to get a truck from a different U-Haul. When I got to the Vererans U-Haul the truck was dirty with green algae. Veronica cleaned and mop the truck for me. Excellent job.

Bob M | Expérience généraleI would love to review but I'm reserved at the moment to see what the outcome of my question is. So here's the situation. I met a homeless man who had no place to put his belongings. It was raining and he was getting soaked and so were all of his items. I asked a man if I could help him He said that he had no place to store his items. So I googled storage facilities and your establishment came up. While there, I explained to the clerk at check-in that I only needed this storage for one month and that it belonged to a homeless man. Than I explained to the homeless man that he had to get the items out of there before the month was over otherwise he'd have to pay for any additional storing. Well come to find out that he did not pay for any additional storage nor did they pay for late fees to get his stuff out. I was notified and again told the representative that I'm only responsible for the one month payment after that my obligation is over. Now I'm being notified that the items that were in the storage were auctioned off and $150 was raised to go towards the bill. The bill however was $175 and some odd change. I am now being notified that I am responsible for the balance left. $25. I am requesting that this $25 be waived I played it forward by paying for a full month of storage for a person who was down on their luck. I am requesting that you see this as a noble gesture and waive the $26 dollar fee please. . Thank you for your consideration in this matter have a blessed day. Johnny LThe pick up in Florida went well. Then u boxes were transferred to Savannah, Ga. Boxes did not arrive on scheduled day. No one called. I called, waited on hold several times- could not give explanation and said GA warehouse calls were transferred to Charlotte. Called again and again and re scheduled- boxes did not arrive on re scheduled day. Still no call. Finally u boxes arrived 3 days late. No explanation. Told them to pick up empty u boxes 2 days later- no show. No calls. I called and they rescheduled. Still no pick up. Called again- picked up finally, almost a week later. Bad experience!
Janis CThe key drop box is not in a readily visible or common sense location. I had to leave the keys in the truck because I was late for work and the apps drop off process wasn't working correctly. I subsequently returned to the location 9 hours later during daylight, retrieved the keys and found the drop box at the other end of the parking lot by the dumpster. A sign direction people to the key box or including its location on the app would have been great. Other than that, my experience was pleasant and uneventful.

They scratched my white leather couch while going out the front door and then proceeded to drop it on the concrete when they finally made it out. Doing a very nice job of ruining it. Of course no contact or reimbursement after that was done. Next time I'd have them sign paperwork for my liability and damages made prior to moving. That is the only thing that reflects poorly on U-Haul.
