While this location is well stocked with trucks and other equipment, the lot itself is either too small or poorly organized. There is little to no space for customer parking, the entrance is rough, trucks are jammed together and the customer entrance door is not visible from the front. The manager was courteous and helpful to me but I think he needs help. There was another employee basically lounging around who could have been helping the person behind me, but perhaps was not trained to do so. I think this location needs attention and the manager needs support from the company or possibly better training to use the resources he has.
Jeannette H CallisonInstallation went okay. The biggest problem was coordination with the online/corporate scheduling system. Per the system, I scheduled a 7am (1st install of the day) appointment. It was about 1hr drive to the appointment. When they opened, they told me they were wondering why my appointment was scheduled for that time because "My hitch installation guy doesn't come in until 9am". They also said they had been trying to get that "scheduling thing" worked out with corporate since yesterday...but no one bothered to call me. They told me I could leave the car with them and they would get to it sometime today or they would call me when the installer came in. Since it was 7am and there were few things near this location, I opted for the call later and went for breakfast. They called at 8:30 and said they were ready for me. When I got there, they told me the "hitch guy" was not coming in, but the manager would install the hitch for me. The manager said "Highlanders are an easy installation" and "it should only take about an hour". It took 2 hours and afterwards he said he ended up having to watch You Tube videos to get it installed. I appreciate the customer service effort, but the statement was not exactly confidence-inducing.
Mark PerlottoTrailer had no handle on the gate and rusty latch. Ridiculous there is no handle to simplify pulling the door up and down. Also the door repeatedly got stuck in up position because latch would get caught against the door opening on the way down. I have never had this problem on any other trailer I have rented. You employees need to be trained to park trailers and be able to lift them off the vehicles. Attendant who checked me in couldn't pick my 6x12 up, but more importantly asked a mother/daughter to back their truck + car hauler through mud and trucks to park the trailer across the yard, because she couldn't do it. Neither could the mother/daughter team, and they were in tears by the time I got there to move it for them.
Neil PeterkenService good out of this location. Very poor in transit and delivery. Late in delivery, poor communications about location of the UBox and arrival date. Appeared the box had been dropped, tilted, or turned over when box was opened by moving labor. Items were packed and secured by recommended moving labor in Wilmington. Still no refund from UHaul for missed delivery date of $50/day. Poor choice of moving home goods. Great moving labor services.

neal shulmanI never went into the Wilmington location. Our shipment arrived from Fountain Hills Arizona. I do not remember the man's name in Wilmington that I spoke with but he was very helpful! Melissa delivered and picked up our containers. She did a great job!! I would definitely recommend UHaul's services.
Thomas SchubertI have had the worst experience with my U-box rental from delivery and pickup of our boxes to re-delivery and pickup of the empty boxes. Nothing was on time, it was hard to get thru to anyone when needed and after hours. I was also charged an extra month and still not credited that amount even though they said they would take care of it. Very frustrating experience all around.

Ryan PopperStaff is SO friendly, however it appears UHaul's different 'systems' don't work well together; every phone call was 20 minutes long for any question. It's impossible to manage quotes and shipments online, it was always necessary to call the location with any issues. There are no actual contracts; the only things available on my online account are receipts. . I had a Ubox that leaked and it took over a week to get a replacement box and 2 months to get reimbursed for the damages to the contents. Hours of phone communication & many emails....overall an inefficient, poor experience with the company; but again, everyone was VERY friendly and did their best to help.

I have waited anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours for equipment to be readied for me 3 different occasions. Thomas was extremely helpful and apologetic for the experience I received. I've never had an issue at a U-Haul before but this place is special.

But after that the process was flawless. I felt well informed of the tracking of the boxes. I liked the text alert system. Our boxes arrived earlier than expected in Louisville. No issues with our goods. The team in Louisville was excellent as well, please pass this along. I would recommend this service to others. Merci
Kathryn WiltIt was nice to have a drop off after hours. However, it was very confusing as one sign had equipment dropoff on the left side of the building and the dropbox was located on the right. It took me almost 15 minutes in the dark to finally locate it.

When he couldn't get it right he told us our plastic trim interior molding would never snap back because our car was backwards causing him to have to rig the wiring improperly. We haven't had our CR-V a year and now it looks like this. Run!!! Find another location. He also charged me more than the prices shown for items I was purchasing. He stated their had been a price increase that day but U-Haul hadn't sent him new price stickers. $450 for an improperly installed hitch.
Saundra RotherhamThe only reason I did not give a 5-star review is because of current ingress-egress issues, which is NOT the fault of the location. There is a lot of construction on Market Street right now, getting in and out of the facility and picking up/returning a trailer was somewhat challenging. But again, that is not the fault of the store, and the staff there were great to deal with.
Shawn CarrollArea around location seems unfinished, especially exit to area for picking up the truck. Staff was friendly and helpful, changed our truck size with no problem when we found out the original truck we rented did not have a ramp. Dropped off early and it was an easy process. I would recommend this business to friends and family.
Larry PruittRidiculous you guys advertise it being $20 to rent a uhaul for the day then add fees almost triple that. Pricing isn't accurately reflected when you look online either since my estimate was $30 ish online and you shock customers by making the total MULTIPLES of what you advertise. Such a scammy place. I do my best not to purchase from companies like that so I will be taking business elsewhere in the future.

I had a different pick up location originally with a mobile check in but was having issues with the app. Josh waited for me. When I came to return right before closing I accidentally left my wallet in the truck. He waited for me to get back! He was such a gentleman and so professional. I'm so glad I picked up from Josh!

Alan VandrewThis place is horrible first we’re u lock it it’s held by one screw second they lie and treat u like nothing my gate did not work for 7 months strait and I complained and all they would say is we will take care of it and never did then to top it off even after all the negative crap they come and tell me that all of my stuff had to be out by the 17 of June with no care in the world as far as we’re my stuff would go now that they surprise u with a kick out and the excuse is we are destroying the storage units just a horrible experience I would never use uhaul again in my life

It appeared to come from under the wall of a neighboring unit. Later when we over a month later when we came to get our things again there was standing water. There was evidence that water had been there for a while. Black mold was evident up more than 2 two inches up any wooden pieces. Granted it was isolated to the back five 5 feet of the unit. We reported it and were told that we have take pictures and file a damage claim. Which do plan on filing. I thought that one of them would have come and looked at the water to see for themselves how it got in or where it came from in the first place.
