A customer had came in with a complaint about the noland road and had bad experience there because they couldn't speak English very well. I was glad to see At this location there agent helped the customer and apologized for what happened. Please have your workers trained to go to a translating website or cell phone to provide a great experience for all. So kudos to the locust and Truman rd location. I hope this helps to make all your locations better.

I ordered a utility dolly and furniture pads and they were confirmed in my order, but when I went to pick up the truck, they didn't have any dolly's. What was the purpose of confirming the order? They offered to sell me one.

Shauna Headley is amazing! her energy was amazing. i was having a really rough time today and she read my body language and helped me get in and out- no problems - when i returned the uhual that night- she was there to close everything out and send me off my way! The Self service app is a joke. It was a headache to use and was constantly freezing. It kept asking for a picture of the back of the truck, when i uploaded it, it would say it needed at least 1 picture of the back. Then it wouldn't let me delete it or add a different one. it wouldn't let me put in mileage, there was suppose to be a dolly, which i think i got charged for, but there was no dolly. it took way longer than it should have just because of the app. it's really annoying that you have to download an app and have a "reference" to get a rental uhaul. I'll find somewhere else to rent from next time.

I have a video of how the truck looked in it's condition with all the snow piled around it. My 20 yr old son who didn't expect to have to breakthrough the ice on the windshield was freezing and soaked after finally 30 mins later being able to get unstuck. I called in side for a employee to help they made sure to take their time then sent a midget out like he would be able to help. It took a quarter of a tank just setting there to thaw out the rental. It only had 2 quarters in it when I was told it had 4? I still made sure I put gas in tank but I took pictures and videos of our life experience yesterday. Once getting it to move and be able to see the road a light came on saying the rental had a low to flat tire on right side. After spending all this time maintaining your rental I purchased I was down to three hours of moving time. Not to mention the rude manager Shawna inside she is absolutely horrifying . I had the rental back by 7 and told the closing person of my experience she told me I needed to contact corporate because the manager wouldn't do anything. I seriously want a refund I wasn't able to get were I needed to be due to the poor maintenance of the vehicle. I didn't see nor hear no good customer service from employees and the fact that my son had to freeze it get me unstuck and do y'all's job makes me very mad. I will never use this location again nor recommend it to my enemies. Terrible experience and still need a truck to finish wut y'all's couldn't do. Refund my money please.

Here is my experience. I have spent over $2 000 at U-Haul this year at various dealers. At the last dealer, I was told that I would get no further special requests. (PERIOD) My request was to not have the dolly and blankets in the back as they get in my way for my job delivery application. Secondly I was not told that the milage rate goes up on Friday from $0,79 to $1.09. Lastly I was told just go to the app for your next reservation, (next week by chance). Well rather than using U-Haul for my next rental, I moved on to another firm in Kansas City. Lastly the arrogant agent did herself no favors for my future rentals at Kansas City U-Haul.

Every time I rent from this location I spend copious amounts of time waiting. The staff is extremely slow and there are frequently multiple staff members helping one customer while several other customers wait in line unattended and unacknowledged. I know good help is hard to come by, but the crew at this location stands out among other U-Haul locations (and other stores in general) as being almost comically slow. I won't rent from this location again.

Shauna, It was a terrible experience from a cost perspective. The price of our unit basically doubled since we started renting it. We found a place closer to one of our homes that is just $62 a month AND for a bigger unit. 10x10x10 compared to 8x8x8 with almost twice the room 1 000 sq ft versus 512 sq ft. A savings of over $600 a year with more storage space. I have told multiple people about the new unit and will continue to do so. You have priced your site out of a sane person's budget. Also, if it had been more secure there would never have been the fire there from someone going in and throwing something on fire into one of the units. It was getting to the point that I was having to take the stairs all the time to retrieve the elevator since people have no concern for others. This had begun leaving a really bad taste in my mouth. U-Haul tends to hire people who hate their job. You're not greeted with the warm and friendly smile, and the staff looks very depressed as though they wish the customers would jump off the bridge and leave them alone.

The app shows incorrect access times, causing me to have to cancel my movers who were already there and get entirely new ones for the next day and costing me additional fees. I understand it is not the staff at that locations fault, that it is the app and corporate for not updating the app, but that information being incorrect is unacceptable and threw a massive wrench in my cross country move.

I got a storage unit with a huge center block in the middle of the unit and when I called too see if anything else was available and she stated a smaller unit than the one she gave me and she couldn't really tell me about the unit except it was smaller.. They charged me 5 dollars over the millage instead a dollar and didn't get the correct amount back..Gas was placed back 10 miles over is not 57 dollars

There are cameras all over the facility, signs that say it's all hours access, and key pads to enter/exit facility. The storage unit closes when the office does. The first day I got my unit I punched in at roughly 1645, unloaded things from my truck to the dock, and when to take the things in and the door no longer operated. Gyms can be 24 hours, Walmart can be 24 hours. Besides this one gripe, and the oddity of the local traffic patterns/narrow loading lanes for trying to get a trailer in/out, which I'm sure the building didn't start as uhaul storage so was kind of just a work around, it was a solid facility. Floors were pretty nice, hand carts were great. Staff always worked with me getting things set up and hooked up the way they wanted. Is a bummer that the hitch on the trailers is not lockable. It's 2024, they stealing everything out here. But that's a uhaul corporate beef, maybe.

The facility was easy to access, clean and temperature controlled. The unit was in the smaller single floor unit to the north of the main facility so I didn't have to deal with an elevator when loading or unloading. Le personnel était amical et serviable.

While I expected access 24/7, I didn't mind working around the hours. All else was a great experience. (one piece of advice - would be the homeless in the car taking a spot for those loading and unloading - quite inconvenient. Just have them be more cognizant of those coming in and simply move when needed.)

The carts that are provided are super helpful. The building is a historic building. The freight elevators were very strange but I figured them out quickly. My only gripe is that I had reserved a ground level unit and was given a 4th floor unit. I also checked in online and did not receive a free lock as indicated. I already had one with me, so this was a minor inconvenience. I would say overall this place is pretty cool and the staff is helpful. Since there are one way streets and backup moves to make, it's not for a novice.

There is false advertising on the website. I was tod that I would have 1 month free when I rent a truck and get a storage unit. When I tried to do that, I was told differently and had to pay for storage at the moment and the rent the truck. Also the hours that self storage was advertised as if I can use until 10pm..but could not move my things into the storage because the facility closed at 7pm. I would not recommend this to anyone.

It was annoying that I couldn't speak to someone directly at the facility. I would call to make a payment and the phones would be transferred to corporate, sometime waiting on hold for 15 minutes to be told that I need to contact the facility directly. Terribly inconvenient that I could not access the facility 24-7. I tried to move out on a Sunday and couldn't get in after 5pm. Super annoying. The people that do work here are very charismatic and helpful in person. They were always nice, whenever I dealt with them in person or on the phone directly.

Took 1,5 hours to check in. Had reservation and only 1 person I. Front of us. Had to move our stuff in the next day because of it. Very rude and unhelpful people behind the counter. Only 1 person was nice and helpful - I can't remember her name. She was working circles around everyone else. When I first arrived I didn't know where the office was. I asked them on the intercom. They proceeded to make fun of me then just said go south. I've never been there before I had no idea which way south was. Just very rude and lazy. Never again. I'll toss everything I own before renting a storage unit again. Was told there is no partial refund for all the time I prepaid. -20 stars.

The black girl that worked the the day/evening (1-27-22) i was tryna move my storage was rude and inconsiderate and turned the lights out @ 6:15 and came over the intercom saying the time and we close @7 pm and to make final moving before 6:45 and then when asked to turn the lights back on she then told us to use a flash light i was in disbelief of what i just heard i will never refer anyone to this location again

The manager of the facility was very rude. She act like she didn't even want to acknowledge me when i first came in. She just looked up and starred at me. I had to speak first. She acted irritated when I asked her questions and when i brought the truck back she never even thanked me for my business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. 95 % of the time we came to load or unload there were people doing nothing in the bay. Often had to go out to the street because they refused to move even though they were not loading or unloading. Could be a little sketchy from time to time but I suppose that's downtown for you. Biggest complaint is that it was difficult to actually pull up to the loading bay due to other people parked there for no reason.

Staff was fantastic helping to free up the loading dock so we could have a chance to unpack the uhaul. Access hours could be better or more clearly articulated. We drove 6 hours from Iowa with the truck and only had less than an hour to unpack by the time we arrived. We knew the office would close but not that we would lose access to our storage locker With a moving truck of our size, I wish we didn't have to move it all up to the third floor for storage. The space was sufficient but required dozens of trips up the freight elevator. Again, something I wish I would have known prior to arrival but, after successfully navigating the truck through downtown KC, I didn't want to transport my cargo to a different storage facility. I can't speak highly enough about the staff. From allowing us to stage the truck at the facility during the day so that we could take care of the business portion of the trip, to helping to move and park the truck...can't speak highly enough about the staff you had working there today 13 May (day shift)

Something did chew on the edges of my expensive butterfly table. But the staff at that location created a raving fan. Always helpful and willing to please. Manager and staff polite and professional. I am a military personnel and have orders to transfer to California in December. I have had the unit since August. On 11/18 the military set up a moving company to get all of my things, when I opened the door to my unit I surprised to find there was water damage! Pools of water was on top of my bins, some of my boxes collapsed do to the water. By this time the unit was basically drying out and creating black mold. My head board is cotton and was also ruined. The moving company had to be rescheduled so I could go through everything and repack/throw away ruined items. I was never notified by phone call or email about the incident. The manager ensured me someone was supposed to call all the renters to come check their unit . I was also informed that a sprinkler system pipe burst and they had to get all the piping redone on the 6th floor. This process was highly stressful and very inconvenient for me. The manager that day however was very helpful and gave me everything complimentary to repack my items and even moved me down to another storage unit that did not have damage so my items could be picked up on 11/19.

In the middle of clearing out my storage unit on Monday, the elevators stopped working which made it impossible to move my couch and a few other large items. After waiting to see when the problem would be resolved, I decided to continue my move, leaving the couch in the storage unit to be retrieved when the elevators were working once again. The broken elevator issue created significant delays for my move which resulted in moving expenses that were much higher than I budgeted for. The moving company I hired is paid by the hour and distance driven, so having to wait to figure out what was happening with the elevator and then having to return to the storage unit hours later added a significant amount of time that I would not have had to pay for had the elevator been working properly.

The only bad thing I came across is the elevator does not go up completely to the 6th floor. It leaves about 8 to 10 inches below the level ground of the floor so had a little hard time.

I was ok with my storage what bothered me was the broken gates and elevator. It was an ok experience not great but ok. I would try a different storage facility if I needed one again just to see what a different storage has to offer in regards to service and cleanliness.

A couple of times the elevator didn't work. The credit card reader wouldn't take my card. I came one day to put some items in my storage both of the elevators were broken no one seem to care.

The only problem, I have is that I left my storage 1/2 way through the month and was told I was getting a refund. But when I dropped my key at the store, and she said she knew nothing about it. I needed to get with the manager.

Bums and homeless people hang out in the shortages all day being a nuecense to other renters. I mentioned it to the office and they didnt do anything about it.

From the beginning to the end of using U-haul Storage, I never had a problem. My only complaint is that once you check out, you should get a refund from the time remaining on your contract.

Too many idiots. I got tired of fending off people attacking me for the loss of 24/7 when it wasn't my fault. I wasnt even in the building when the fire started.
