The people I worked with at the Prescott Office were very helpful and cordial. Super smooth process renting the truck. I brought the truck home, loaded it up, and the next day brought it back the U-Haul center. Then they were more than helpful when getting the trailer and hooking it up. Brandon was amazing. Customer service had messed up my reservation and when I walked in the day before my move to get everything straightened out Brandon went the extra mile he fixed everything that Customer Service messed up on my account he found me a truck and he even let me come in early and pick it up because of the mixup. I highly recommend this gentleman for a raise he has excellent customer service skills. He were lucky as U Haul to have such a great employee. Someone needs to reach out to that location and thank him for being the best part of the experience that I had with U Haul. I hope the management and highlights right now I didn't play when I see one and they reward them appropriately. Reserved a truck for the day to take my ubox to a storage unit. When I got there, the ubox was ready by no trace of the truck reservation. They said noon were available but there were 3 in the yard. Had to rent a 15ft uhaul to tow the ubox, charged me 58 dollars for the day.Robert W.

We never got a return receipt emailed to us. I called this store the next day after we returned the trailer and was placed on hold for 37 minutes and I gave up at that point. I called the next morning and spoke to a nice man who said he would email it to me while we were on the phone. The email never arrived. I was comforted to know the system showed the equipment checked in but I sure wanted that receipt.Robert W.

your compamy is run by a bunch of theves especialy on your gas policy considering you charge but never add to the tank i brought the truck back looked like same amount of gas and your representative wanted to charge $28.dollars for gas so I went and put just 2 gallons and the gage was quite a bit over for what was in there so keep steeling from your customers Im definatly not going to rent from you anymore and discourage anyone that isJOSEPH C.

Pulled up in the equipment return 15 minutes before the posted closing time. 3 guys stirring around a computer. The â€œcustomer entranceâ€ door would not open. 10 minutes later a guy who was already helping some one asked if I had been helped and went inside to get help. Don't ever use moving help through Uhaul. I had over $425 in damage by the mover. Never in 15 moves over the years, have I ever had so much damage. It seems like it will never be rectified, which will result in me going to court. So much for the value of using a Uhaul. It is causing me more headaches than if I would have hired a private moving service. I am beyond disappointed. The people at the Uhaul place were really nice, but that experience is tainted by the horrible nightmare I am experiencing by the moving load unload company. It has ruined my new house that I worked hard for and now I have a constant reminder of the pain of the move with all the damage in my door, doorways, hallways, paint, stucco, and drywall. That moving company was the most unprofessional and there lack of care for even fixing the issue just disheartens me even more. I had to hurt my back to finish the move, as I stopped them from completing the move. What the heck happened to Uhaul standards? Movinghelp says they are safe and reliable, but that was nothing of the case.Tracy Z.
Helpful, friendly staff. Rubber Weather stripping around driver door fell off into my lap as I entered cab. Otherwise truck was clean. Check-in upon return was prompt. The attendant sai I'd receive my receipt for total charges by email, but I haven't received anything yet. The online reservation system for the company needs work as it allowed me to reserve a moving truck at a location that was closed for memorial day. This location was open and quickly responded and got a truck for us. Adrian was very helpful and efficient checking us in and did everything in his power to make the best of what was not a good situation for us. Wayne was very polite, efficient and helpful during the equipment drop off. The team at this location is great Ryan V.

This location took our U-Haul and trailer back from us and said they would email receipts and I never received any receipts. I got a call later on from a uhaul representative asking if I even dropped my equipment back off because it wasn't put in the system correctly. It was already a difficult experience with Uhaul at home and then getting across the country and having them change my drop off location multiple times and getting that phone call made the experience not so lovely. The general customer service was uninviting and uncaring. We only lucked out on a couple of representatives that we have spoken to.Sierra I.

After using U-Haul services multiple times over the past six months, we have been extremely pleased with the customer service at various locations and online. However, when we had trouble with our personal car this time and asked to extend the return of our equipment, the Prescott AZ manager was not understanding and caused us to borrow a car from a friend in NM in order to return the equipment, which equals 650 miles round trip on their car and another 325 miles on our car to return to Prescott.and two more days of our.time. The employees are TERRIFIC! but the process was horrible. We had a GUARANTEED reservation but when we arrived, our unit wasn't available resulting in renting a very small unit. The small unit didn't accommodate all of our household effects and forcing items into the small unit resulted in massive breakage and loss. UHaul should NOT guarantee units that aren't available. Storage itself is great (clean, dry and secure) but its location is not necessarily convenient. Instead of sitting on a large open area, this storage facility has multiple floors and seats against a tall hill. Icy slopes in the winter make its access a bit tricky. A large elevator and various carts are, however, helpful for moving things in and out of storage. Getting the unit was a disaster. We reserved online, had a moving truck on the way. Had a contract number and when we got there they said " oh that's actually not available " despite the fact we had a full size moving truck on the way and nowhere to put things . Which is how we got the smaller unit. Amazingly about 20 minutes later, our big unit we had reserved was miraculously available again. When we went to move out of the unit, It says there will be a $50 fee to have the locks cut. Which is fine because in the move I misplaced the keys. I get a call from a lady at the storage place saying that WE have to have the arrangement to get the lock cut. Which means we had to be there. I never got the credit we were promised for enrolling in automatic withdrawal. When we were there, there were two other people with the same issues of reserving online, and coming in to nothing available. This is a large, busy, climate controlled facility with adequate dock space for loading and unloading. Check-in and check-out was smooth and efficient. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and knowledgable. Considering we moved an entire new home furnishings out of storage, it was a positive experience with this U-Haul. My above average rating is based on my in-person experience, however I must also relate the apparent "loss" of my climate-controlled storage unit reservation which was, to say the least, most inconvenient. KJ, the manager, was at a loss to explain this incident, apologized, and tried his best to help provide (non-climate controlled unfortunately) storage. I'd recommend close monitoring of your "reservations", with frequent personal phone calls to the manager of the actual facility that you're dealing with, NOT some U-Haul reservation agent (likely in another state).Gene M. | Premières impressions

I reserved 2 climate controlled 10x15x9 storage units. I was very excited when they became available because this place is always full. I loaded up the UHaul truck and drove 2 hours to Prescott to put everything into storage. I arrived only to be told that they did not have my units anymore. I asked if they could see my reservation and they said yes. I asked what I did wrong that the units were not actually reserved for me and they said I did nothing wrong, someone just rented them out from under me. I said I needed the units as I had a full truck sitting in the parking lot. They said there was nothing they could do. They had 2 small units available, but only 1 was climate controlled. I didn't really have a choice, so I took the 2 units. I asked that the cost be reduced as I would be paying more for these 2 smaller units than I would have for the 10x15x9 climate controlled unit. They said only the manager could do that. I asked to leave a note to have him call me. They said they could not do that. I asked if my name could be put down to get the next 10x15x9 climate controlled unit that became available and they said they could not do that either. They basically did not care that they gave away the units I had reserved and now won't make it right by combining the cost of the 2 smaller units into the price of the larger unit. If you send an email to the one provided on the electronic receipt (937024_GM@UHaul.com) it comes back as undeliverable. I got another e-mail from a business card for the manager and have e-mailed him (KJ) and have not heard anything back yet. When you call the local number, it rolls right to the corporate UHaul service center. They will not handle the situation either. It must be handled locally. I am still short one unit and do not have faith that if I reserve one when it becomes available it will actually be there for me to use. Very poor customer service. The customer service person was nice, but could not do anything for me and did not offer any help to make it right. This place is always sold out, so I guess they figure they don't really need the extra business. Very disappointing. They tell you to contact the local U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback, but they make that almost impossible to do. The e-mail they provide in their correspondence does not work and the local number rolls to corporate. Only by actually going to the facility was I able to get a different e-mail for the manager, but he did not respond.
