Customer service was awful, checking out a truck was difficult ant timely even with ordering online. Trucks ordered were not available, so we settled for smaller trucks and got a call that those also were not available. No compensation for our inconvenience and not willing to work with us in return time due to multiple trips with much smaller trucks! Awful and will NEVER USE AGAIN!!!

The store was clean and presentable and the staff were very helpful and really did everything that could reasonably be expected of them to serve my needs. Props to them. There was a delay though because we hooked up the first trailer we found a bolt had punctured a tire, then we had to move to a second trailer and had no trailer lights, initially it was thought to be the tow vehicle, even though the lights had worked on the first trailer. turned out it was the pig tail for the second trailer, but we got it solved and I was able to complete my tow. Thanks to the staff member that helped me and didn't give up. Maybe your post return equipment inspection needs to include jacking up the equipment and performing a full, all around visual inspection of the tires as a blow out could have proved disastrous.

I didnt like the whole use your cell phone to pick up. Id rather have employee atleast do that part. Its faster and more efficient. Not everyone has a reliable cell phone. My wouldnt load so he had to handle that anyway took over 30 mins to get my truck. but drop off was easy, but I didn't receive as receipt after drop off of the total amount cbarged other than that It was a great transaction

WE LIVE IN CANON CITY CO. WE HAD TO DRIVE 40 MILES TO THE NEXT TOWN TO PICK UP A TRUCK! Canon has several U Haul stores. We couldn't rent from them because they "don't do local moves." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! I'M THINKING WE WILL RENT ELSEWHERE SINCE WE HAVE TO RENT OUT OF TOWN ANYWAY!

The staff insisted I provide an emergency contact. That was annoying. As soon as I turned in the one, I went to a different location to pick up another truck as I was moving locally. No emergency contact was required there. How dumb is it that you cannot book a truck locally for more than 24 hrs. Not good business practice.

The fast and easy check-in using my phone was...neither. The only thing that made my Uhaul experience anything other than frustrating was Jonathan. This guy was not only amazing, but apparently the only onsite employee for handling onsite reservations, pick-ups, and returns. There four customers there the morning I picked my van. I tried to do the self check-in but a) no one had said anything about needing a second contact who could be called at the time I picked up the van; my passport; or my lease agreement (there was a fourth option but I don't remember what it was but I did have it available either). b) the system requires that you upload photos if your driver's license. I took four photos and each time it said it couldn't validate my license. c) the system also requires that you upload a photo of the yourself so that the counter person can confirm that you are the person in the reservation. I took six photos , none of which it would accept. Thankfully, Jonathan got his other customers taken care of before I began cursing at my phone. The most annoying issue was the reservation itself. I made the initial reservation online but then had to change the pick up time. It never updated so I had to call customer support. On hold forever and it had updated but continued to show the incorrect date and time. Also, neither the reservation site nor the customer support people ever clearly explained the mileage. For an in town rental, there's a charge of .59 per mile, however, it wasn't clearly explained until Jonathan talked with me. Finally, the return. Again, the self return option requires photos of the vehicle but they were less problematic but this brings me to the mileage, the most frustrating issue of all. Jonathan wasn't able to print out my contract when I picked up the van as the printer was down but said it would be available online. Fair enough - except that it wasn't. I went through three customer service agents until I found one who could email the contract to me. The return requires photos of the dash to confirm the mileage and the amount if fuel in the vehicle. These were easy enough to upload as we're the photos of the interior confirming the van was clean enough for someone else to use. Word of caution - make sure you return a clean vehicle as they charge $25 if you indicate that it needs to be cleaned. As for the van itself, it was an almost new Ford cargo van. Comfortable and efficient. I used almost no gas and it was a pleasure to drive. Overall, Uhaul customer service and phone app suck but at this location, their guy Jonathan rocks. I'd use them again but I'd probably speak directly with this location rather than calling the 800# with any concerns.

I set my reservation up to check in the store (specifically NOT the 24/7 share/online check-in) and to be able to drop it off at a uhaul close to where I was moving to because I was being charged per mile. When I arrived and went inside they told me they couldn't check me in and I had to do it by myself outside. The online self checkin was a bigger hassle than I've ever experienced when using uhaul. On top of that I tried to take it back to a uhaul near my new house and they couldn't take it because 4030 Carruth uhaul set it up to where I could ONLY return it back to them, adding an additional 10 miles to my bill.

I have no problems with the location or the people who work there. In fact the people who work there are above average and were very nice. I do have a serious issue with The U-Haul computer system. This is the 2nd time I’ve rented from U-Haul and the computer system for reservations is terrible. In both cases it does not transfer any of the car info or my declination of insurance I put in the reservation. The time before I did the early check in and when I got to the dealer ship I had to give him all of the info again.’ Also your own people don’t like the computer system. You guys need to listen to them and fix it. Feel free to call me if you need more info.

Thanks to all the staff here especially Jessica! She had so many customers waiting but did her best to get to us all while still giving each person her full attention! The 9’ cargo van was so new and nice to drive! I had to re-rent the same U-Haul in an 8 hr timeframe because I still needed to move more stuff to storage than I thought. The online reservation was a little more difficult than in-person but Jessica patiently assisted me with anything I didn’t know to do! She was outstanding! The other staff members as well for such a busy location!

We had reserved a 26’ truck with no issues, and then the morning we were to get the truck we received a call 15 minutes before our pickup time, and found out they didn’t have that truck and offered a smaller truck. We were already driving to pick it up, and like most people (needed it for the day and had people waiting to help us) so I had to have a truck. So we had to settle for the smaller truck, which in result we had to do more trips with it (across town move). Even though we didn’t get charged for the bigger truck just the smaller truck rate, would have been nice to have been compensated to some extent due to having had a truck reserved to ensure we had the truck we needed for that day, then finding out minutes before that they didn’t have it. Other than that issue, the process was smooth, and equipment (truck and auto dolly) were both in decent shape and clean!

The equipment was fine but I wouldn’t recommend UHaul in general because this entire experience was awful. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon but when I do I’ll try harder to find a budget truck, Penske, anything else for that matter. We booked our truck online and chose a pickup location which was changed without our knowledge for inventory reasons....that was fine but we were never notified. I found out when they called for confirmation. The new location didn’t have our truck and had to send us to another location the day of. Furthermore I got a call the next day asking why I hadn’t turned in my truck which I told them I had it another day. Because the previous Friday when they called for confirmation I extended my reservation. I sat on hold and was bounced around to 3 different people for a total of 40 minutes to get that fixed, which clearly was never fixed. The whole company and customer service is a shit show and needs to be ran better.

I went to this location instead of one just down the road because of the special you were running for one month free storage with rental of a truck. I was told no I couldn't have one with absolutely no explanation. So I actually spent more money to go through this location. Then we needed to rent the truck for one more day. Went in to talk to employees and they said no problem...well this was a few hours before it was do so asked if it would get the same time I rented yesterday. Said yes. So went to return it following day and called to verify time cuz thought I was running behind. The employee who answered said I was good as long as I returned by 2:30pm. I returned the truck at2:24pm and I was charged for an entire day for some reason. The paperwork said 2:24pm return time. That is before 2:30pm. I also was not told they were charging me for an entire day. Plus charged us triple the miles we put on it. So I am extremely disappointed and I wouldn't recommend your store. I didn't get to get a storage unit for the month(only reason went here) with no explanation. Was charged for an entire day and was not told and didn't even have the truck and turned it in 6 min before the time I was told. And charged 3×the mileage I took it. Oh I forgot one thing. Someone spit chewing tabaco all over part of the truck. I said something about it and was told don't worry about it. That is absolutely disgusting. Truly disappointed customer who has no plans to ever return and use your business.

They kept having computer issues and had to do everything manually YOU SHOULD HELP YOUR EMPLOYEES. It took them three times as long and printers at both pick up and drop off location were not working!! Poor employees! The CEO should spend a day trying to book things on their own computers they would fix the problem then!!

It took them forever to help me get the vehicle I reserved. I was qoated a certain price and then when picking up the truck I was charged more money. They refuse to honor the qoat they gave me. The tow dolly I rented took me at least 2 hrs to loosen. It wasnt ready to use, the strap on the left was tangled and jammed in there which was hard to pull. Once I was able to get that fixed and my car on there I had to keep stopping every so often just to tighten the strap around the tires. Then when I returned the equipment I couldnt check it back in online. They messed up my email address not once, not twice but 3 times. I had to call customer service a couple of times till I got someone who could actually help me. I was also charged extra for not fueling it all the way to full. When I got the truck it was 3/4 full. In all my experience with them was not good. I will never use them again

The trucks driver side door didn't shut properly causing a lot of noise while driving and i felt it was a safety issue. When the door was shut, you could see light coming in from between the door and the cab. Also, the transmission seemed to be off, the gears didn't change until between 4500 and 5000 rpms. It sounded like the engine was going to blow every time i pulled off from a stop.

The Pueblo Colorado location was very disorganized. They got my arrival date wrong, indicated that I was suppose to pick up the u-box (even though they had my address) told the moving company that they did not have a box for me. When I called to see what was going on, I finally got a hold of Nichol the regional manager. She researched it and she was told the box was on a trailer, ready to go. The movers then drove all the way back and the box was not on the trailer after all. This was super inconvenience as I had to drive an hour a half with my husband with pneumonia to the pick up location, only to be told that the box wasn't ready. Also, I asked for the recorded conversation from when I made the order and never heard back from anyone. The experience in Austin was exceptional.

Trailer was clean, but half of the lights did not work and lights were dim and hard to see and back safely latch was rusty. Friendly and nice employees but some of equipment needs to be fixed/ updated.

The employees were always very polite and helpful, any time that I visited my storage unit. I was constantly impressed, as they were always, very busy. They do excellent work keeping up with the rush.

Storage facility is great. Only problem is the UHaul system is always down when you go to pay your bill most every month... in person or online... very inconvenient but not this facility’s fault.

The storage facility has a keypad for after hours that is nonfunctional so you can't have access after business hours, which is inconvenient if you work late. Otherwise an above average experience
