I was charged for a gallon of gas at $7.50 after thoroughly explaining logical and reasonable math. I had put in 1.8 gallons of gas and drove 14 miles. So if you add in the gallon i was charged, this would be 2.8 gallons of gas which would imply that the 10 foot truck i used got 5 miles per gallon. I was told that a manger would review and call me, never got a call. I got the bill and sure enough i was charged for the extra gallon of gas. I called and spoke to manager Joe and he said he would credit me back the $7.50. Week or two goes by and still no credit. Had to call again and spoke to Joe again and sounds like now he put in a manual entry to credit me back the $7.50. This is the third time in several months that ive used U-haul, and not once has my process gone smoothly. Typically my truck has not been available and i have been forced to change my plans which has been extremely inconvenient. I dont plan on ever using Uhaul again.
I dropped the rental off at the Redford location after-hours. I immediately realized I had left my Bose headphones in the vehicle but had already put the key in the drop box. I called the next day at exactly 7am when they opened up to let them know I had left them in the vehicle and my wife would be by within the hour to pick them up. My wife went there and was told they hadn't opened the vehicle yet and they would call her when they did. I called hours later to check the status and was told they didn't see my headphones. I am 100% certain my headphones were in the vehicle and the employee did not return my property intentionally. The headphone were $300 that I can not replace nor should I have to. It is extremely discouraging and frustrating to havey property taken from me.
Reford store was great in an out, prices are good to, i rent alot of car haulers price are goodðŸ‘ðŸ»
The man who un-hitched the trailer was very helpful, personable, and kind.
Make the pick up and return process simpler
It was a pretty easy process. I like to be able to do things myself rather than going to the counter. Of course you still have to go in to get the key but you don't have to wait in line. The return process was even easier. Uhaul had better prices than every other company I tried.
Service was excellent. They went out of their way to get us the newest truck with the least amount of miles on it. :)
The service was awesome. Everyone was helpful and quick on their feet.
When a customer makes their reservation, let them know about all the "extra costs". Was a little shocked when $19.95 and $.59 a mile was over $70.. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this location.
I have used the Redford location because of their professional approach to their work. I live much closer to another U-Haul dealership but have always been satisfied with the cooperation and professionalism compared to the Farmington store.
Counter guy wasn't wearing a mask. My truck specifically was not cleaned inside, it's covid I thought they would do better. Also the door on the truck was messed up the entire rental period.
Nothing but keep the manager of that store there. He was a great guy. Thx

The parking lot is very cramped to maneuver trucks around and/or to spot a returning trailer.
Layla was awesome and the gentleman who checked me back in was great. I needed to call back after being serviced and both were helpful. I am always pleased when going to uhaul!
The two guys who helped me need to be trained on how to hook up auto transport. They had no clue.
I had to argue with the checkout person that the price they were trying to charge me was not correct. They finally agreed and lowered the price to what you had priced me online. The truck was behind being dirty muddy snow and ice packed under the wipers in the grill and on the back of the truck I had to clean it before I could open the door. Very very Unsatisfied

Truck was not ready at 8:30am as registration indicated. I had to sit in my car until store opened at 9:00. Also, corporate uhaul would not let me change my drop off location to the same place they changed my pick up to. This was extremely inconvenient as I had to get a ride to my car after I returned the uhaul
The truck was clean inside. Not everything worked. No inside cabin light. Customer Service was excellent. Easy after hours drop off.
Everything was neat and organized...the girl at the desk (bright blue hair) her name was Layla...and her personality was as bright as her hair! She was polite, friendly, and helpful to myself and my husband. I didn't like the drop off process though. I thought I should be able to wait til they were done inspecting the truck and accessing the fees. It was a young guy he took the keys, and said I'll email you the receipt. And then he briskly walked away.
The truck was not ready for pickup. It needed to have snow cleaned off and also did not have much gas it. So, instead of filling it to the proper level after, I had to go to the gas station almost right away. In addition, there was no dolly in the back of the truck. Granted I did not need it, but I was left wondering if they would try saying I took it.
also not double charge my debit card.
The manager got me rang out and showed me the truck and he was nice. My truck wasn't really dirty but the drivers side window handle was in the door detached from the door. (Easily fixable for customers to not have issues. It snowed on my trip and the windshield wipers sucked and there was no washer fluid or the washer fluid was frozen. That did make my trip extra difficult. Overall my worst experience with Uhaul.

Yesterday was the worst experience I've ever received at this or any Uhaul location. It was the worst experience I've received anywhere for that matter. I Don't think there are enough characters to use in this survey to describe how horrible my experience was. Christopher Angliss was very rude, lazy, his whole demeanor was nasty as if he wanted to explode. First I reserved and Pickup truck but instead the employee had a key ready for a cargo. He told me it was not his job to get the cargo and that it was all the way up front. Then he says well honestly I don't know where it is. Christopher told me to look at the numbers on the key ring and match them up to the cargo. I asked if he could call his manager, he got upset the and referred me to his manager saying “ can you handle thisâ€, I told him I'm not a this. I'm a person, a customer. Long story short the manager gave he his phone number and I'm planning on calling today. The manager asked Christopher if he could bring the truck up to me. Christopher did bring the cargo up to me put he was STEAMiNG HOT! My personal opinion on the employee is he might need so anger management counseling. His behavior was shocking to me to see a adult running a business and so disconnected with is job, and so angry. He was I believe texting a lot maybe someone made him upset and he don't handle stress well. I'm not sure but I know something don't seem right with him. When I returned back to drop the cargo off everything went smooth.
Appreciated Joe's assistance with our rental. We had to make a change, which he did with no problem. He explained everything very well and LOVE being able to return with the app!
I rented a 20' truck. When I arrived, it had already been given out and all that was available was a shorter truck. The manager told me that she would be taking $20 off of the rental to compensate me for the failure to provide the agreed upon equipment. However, when I finally got the invoice, it was for $20 more, not less, as there is a charge for returning the equipment early during the night. Apparently, there is special check in work which costs $20 more if the equipment is returned after hours, instead of during the day. I'm not sure what needs to be done to the equipment, that shouldn't also be done if returned during business hours: check the fuel, safety inspection, inspection for cleanliness, move the equipment to another parking space? Not sure what justifies extra work that costs you $20; all of these things should be done regardless of when the equipment comes back. Not to mention that in not keeping up your end of the bargain, a 20' truck, I get charged extra! I will not only not recommend you U-haul, any location, to anyone; I will make sure to push Enterprise, who I had a much better experience with (in my move from WI to MI). Your customer service isn't just low, it's absent completely. I got taken, not served. I paid more with Enterprise, but their customer service was top-notch, and I will definitely use them again because of it.
Couldn't give them five stars because they lost my returned trailer and put threatening phone messages on my voice mail about additional charges. Two rental charges appeared on my credit card history. Hope the one drops off or it will be more frustration. Sucks!
The online system for checking in and getting the truck did not work correctly. I went through the whole process on my phone and the truck assigned to me was not in the lot. So I had to go in and the employee had to redo my check in and then assign me a truck.
Nothing this location has Awesome Customer Service!

Provide staff with proper and appropriate customer service and professionalism. I was threatened to fight. My experience was horrible and the delay cost me apx $195.00 extra
The fuel level was improperly marked on my contract and I misread the lines of the fuel gauge. The truck only had a line for 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full though the lines for 1/4 and 3/4 were not labeled and only had a line. The contract stated it was 7/8 full and I misread the fuel level of the tank thinking the line meant 7/8 when it actually was only 3/4. Now I recognize I made the error of misreading it and that made me liable for the extra fuel charge. However, whoever prepared the contract must have made the same mistake and I find that disturbing and resulted in me having an additional $15 charge at check in even though I only drove the truck 9 miles and put 2.5 gallons in the tank just prior to returning the truck. The fuel I put in made the gauge read slightly more than when I received the truck. Again, I payed the extra fee because I signed the contract, but I find it dissatisfying that the employee that prepared the contract made the same mistake as I did.

I tried to use the phone app to pick up truck, apparently the customer must go into their phone setting and open the local wi-fi (android) I did not know this and I failed to see any instructions about this step. I kept getting a go inside message with no explanation. Then I got to the "keycode" screen but there was no code. Finally gave up and went inside and the rep gave me the key. It was never in the lockbox. I really hate on- line anything.... Truck was fine!

Rented auto transport trailer to me with one completely flat tire and another tire with a bolt in the side. Realized after driving 5 miles home and had to call roadside assistance to get repaired.
We had reserved a 20ft truck and when we got there we ended up with a 26 and we're told there was nothing else available. We were told to be careful when dropping it off at night because the lot is not lit and could be dangerous. The truck was in rough shape. One bottom side was bent to crap, a blinker just wasn't there and no one did a walk through with us. I asked if there was a lock and was told yes and there was not. The truck looked like a death trap while driving and swaying around the road to our new home. When I called and asked if I could drop it off closer to our new home and not risk driving it back, I was told no and if I did it would be thousands of dollars extra!

Everything went well
the storage unit on the top level is difficult to access I had asked several times for a lower unit. I was told to leave my info and someone would call when a lower level was available. I inquired 4 - 5 times .
