The staff were really nice but uhaul has some issues to work out. I did a one way move from California to Michigan in a 20' truck with car and rented a storage unit vanbody 7x23x6 over a month ago. I get to the Ypsilanti location and they said it is a glitch in their system and it is allowing people to reserve storage units that don't exist. So I had a 20' truck full of stuff and no where to go. They have anything available in my area. I went to three separate places again in Michigan for storage units with no luck, only ones available were 5x5. Storage rentals of America saved me. This experience made my move 1000 times more stressful.MEGAN C.

Make sure the U-Haul app downloads the license picture to save time. Why do I need to download prior to check in and then the employee does it again in the store.RALPH DUD C.

After attempting to return the truck and follow the after hours return process. The site kept glitch and would not save my pic nor the gas detail. Employees very friendly and explained the different truck options. I was charged the correct amount by mileage. Redford was one of the few locations open on a Sunday which was a lifesaver. Absolutely no issues.ROBERT SCOTT G.

The reservation process was confusing at best, I reserved a truck online selecting a location very close to my home, only to receive a call the afternoon before saying no truck was available and directed to a location significantly farther away. I soecifcalky chose hula for this reason, convenience. Also the rep on the phone was very rude, with a take it or leave it not my problem attitudeJames V.

The first location I went to the manager wouldn't give me a clean vehicle she inseasted on the one with the bad smell , I had a reservation ready and she cancelled it, her name was victoriia Wlkins on telegraph rd in Taylor, actually didn't care when I asked for her manager and she said my name on the door call in one u like, I had to drive to another location and use different reservation. Well for one thing I made a reservation to pick up a car hauler trailer at a local location in livonia on Plymouth road mechanics place which online it let me book the reservation for the trailer then when I got there they informed me that they didn't have a trailer/ or the trailer they had was broken. So as I waited there for them to locate a trailer they were nice but waiting to see if anyone locally had one was stressful because I had made a appointment to pick up my vehicle at a certain time which I was over a hour and a half late because of the reschedule of my reservation to another u-haul location which was another 20 minutes away in the opposite direction. This was the worst experience I have ever had with such a large company I just keep wondering to myself how this could happen and why I wasn't offered some sort of discount for my inconvenience or something but it is what it is. I definitely wouldn't recommend people as this was my first ever experience and probably my last ..JOHN EMERY W.

We discovered we had left a Kindle in the truck. I called well before closing, waited on hold for over 25 minutes. No one took the call. I called the next day to the 800 number, was told a message was sent to the Redford store and to go there to see if the Kindle had been found. After waiting for the employee to finish his phone call, I was told the truck was outside and that I could go look. I said that it wasn't the truck, but was assured it was. The employee was clearly not anxious to help, finally got the employee who checked the truck in, who said the truck had already been rented after checking the computer and promised a callback when it was returned. I received NO call. Poor customer service, poor work attitude by employee #1. At least employee #2 verified the truck was out. Wish he would have followed through.dianne B.
small parking lot. when I returned the trailer; I had to drive on curve because all the trucks were parked to the road at entrance. then had to unhook the trailer and push it into a spot to leave it. I could not put it in a spot, unhook, do my trailer return and drive away.VENIS C.

Everything worked out well, but one of the tires was at its wear bars and both tires had only 2/3 it's recommended air pressure. I noticed the low pressure because my mileage was low. I had to add about 20 psi to each.Gordon N.

I wouldn't recommend U-haul to a friend. I dropped vehicle off after hours and i was charged an EXTRA 20 even though i went online and completed the check in with the app. Thats a scam. U-haul stole 20 from me and i believe im not the only person to experience that. I feel like the class action lawsuit could be HUGERAYMOND DOUGLAS M.

The interior windshield was dirty and was necessary to be cleaned, before using. also the dash board was full of dirt as if it had never been cleaned off. Uhaul needs to take the time and clean the interior of the vehicles to insure safe driving conditions for all.JOHN ALVIN W.

I was to pick up the truck 1 hour prior to the facility opening. I did not receive an email with lockbox code and the truck was not ready for pickup. Fortunately, an employee came to open the store 1/2 hour early and processed the order.. This put me behind schedule by 1 hour.Angelo B.
