ERICK Tmid trip trailer lights stopped working. I have a 2023 pickup so it was not a towing vehicle issue...did not get what i paid for should have been offered a discount because I didn't get what I paid for....very dangerous and illegal at night without lights which disrupted travel.

I needed to reserve eight trucks for this Saturday. Not wanting to wait until the last minute, I reserved them about a month ago. I didn't hear anything from Uhaul over the course of the month. Not a call or text. Not until the morning of my pickup day. That's when My phone started blowing up with texts messages telling me that ALL EIGHT of my reservations were moved to a location (s) 35-45 minutes away from where I was and my preferred location. After calling the regional office trying get an answer from a CSR, who told me that her supervisor is the one that told her to move ALL EIGHT of my reservations. She told me that her supervisor would call me to help me understand what happened. I knew I'm my mind that call would never come…Guess what?! No call! I then called the location that had my original reservations. The same Uhaul that I've rented hundreds of Uhauls from over the last seven years and asked to speak to the manager, whom I've gotten to know well. I was told by the new manager that he was no longer the manager that she was the new manager. I explained the situation and asked if she could explain why ALL EIGHT of my reservations had been moved? She chose to tell me that she doesn't owe my an explanation and there is nothing she can do. Over the years, I had months where I can't get all my reservations at one location, but never had all of them moved and moved to another location 45 minutes away! I found it totally unacceptable and dishonoring to notify me the morning of, that ALL EIGHT reservations had been moved. That kind of move requires a lot of maneuvering to find people that can help me pick up 45 minutes away! Thank goodness for the manager in Roanoke, who was very apologetic, kind, efficient, and accommodating. I wish he ran the Uhaul in Lewisville. I would continue to rent from Uhaul. As it stands not, they have lost my business.

Josh ONeed to fix the drainage of water and put in new gravel. You can't drive to your storage without getting muddy water all over your car, tires and rims.

John SThe storage units in the back are pretty much a dumpster. Access roads are non paved full of dirt and potholes. The main entrance is a mess and it doesn't feel safe to store any valuables there.

MICHAEL HThe drive up the hill is quite bumpy. The truck was old had had a dolly secured on the inside (I did not need) but I could not remove it without incurring a fee. On the other had, that staff were great and friendly (and efficient)!
MARTIN LI was a customer for 8 months. I frequented my unit at least twice a week! Every time I was there I was impressed by Kaleena who was always cleaning. Also, Brandon was always available from the very first day I checked in to help me with anything I needed. They have the BEST staff I've ever worked with at a storage facility and the GM was always friendly! I can honestly say that though my time in Birmingham wasn't the best, they were a bit of sunshine for me!!! Thanks you guys! I'll miss you

Melisa VThe tuck wasn't cleaned very well and the trailer lights would blink, not light up and were very dim when they did light up on the drivers side. The man who was working was very nice though and re-explained how to put my husbands car on the trailer.

Kathy UThe drop off procedure was VERY poor, it says to put the key in an orange drop box that is wide open and not secure. I did not want to be responsible if the keys/truck was stolen by leaving in drop box. If you were supposed to leave the keys locked in the cargo area like when I picked up the vehicle then the check in needs to say that. I waited chatting with the tech support for 30+ minutes while they tried to figure out what to do. It also mentioned about a green tag on the dolly and there was no green tag and no way to make notes of that when checking in or out or I would have mentioned it. We did NOT use the dolly and I did not want to be accused of using it. The items I moved did not need a dolly. I have been to other locations and the process is much smoother. I would have gone back to the location but they did not have the size of truck I needed.

Troy WI was given a van that needed a tire replacement and battery. When calling the location, it was hard to get in contact with someone to explain my concerns. I also received a partial refund but given what took place, it should have been the full amount. Overall, I will choose a different location in the future and will possibly rent with a different moving company

RAECHAL PThis was the third location I went to. The previous two didn't have the trailer I wanted. I made reservations on line, but still had to chase it down.
Allen ATruck was a bit old, but functional. A/C vent fell out. The uphill road to the location was full of potholes and in serious need to repair. The whole place was a bit worn-out. Service agent said the gas was full, but actually only 7/8 full. I filled up past full, but when asked if I could have a little bit of the rental cost to cover the xtra gas, the answer was "can't help you".

This place was closed by the time I got there at 5:00 (my scheduled pick up time). They then sent me to this location, and I'm not sure I will try any other U-Haul locations because of how outstanding the customer service was here. What started as a nightmare experience with corporate U-Haul was completely turned around into a positive one by this branch.

Only complaint and reason it was not an excellent experience was the road and ground leading into the facility was bumpy with potholes and the gravel road around our storage unit held water when it rained and was a bit inconvenient to get in an out.
Vitina M | Expérience généraleI had a unit for boat storage for a total of 7 weeks and had items stolen on 2 separate occasions. The site is extremely insecure. The fence is 4' tall in some areas and the location where the thieves cut the fence was still not fixed over a month after the first break in. Also the camera coverage was more than inadequate. After the first break in one camera was installed and it did not even point to where the thieves broke in the first time. Additionally, the manager told me the first break in was the first time in years it had happened, but later on I talked to someone else who had a unit and said there's stuff stolen all the time. This facility is an absolute joke.

There is a rise to get into the storage so dolly and other moving equipment are useless. Never using this place again. People are nice enough, but I'm paying for storage and this was not easy.

Norma S | Expérience généraleI reserved this online and when we got there it was a gravel muddy road in front of the unit.(no asphalt or concrete) then, it had an 8" step up into the unit from the gravel… this is not good for heavy, large or bulky items needing a 2 or 4 wheel dolly. It an older facility asking for top dollar…if I wasn't so old and tired we would move to a more user friendly facility.

Website pictures are very misleading!!! For our move out on 2/20/22, there was trash everywhere in the row of our unit - including: nails, shrapnel, and re-bar. We had to get a locksmith from Michael's Keys to sauter off our lock, and he said it was the most run down U-haul facility he had ever seen. Our rolltop door had more than half of the weather stripping missing off the bottom of the door; therefore, any rodent could have easily sought refuge in our mattresses. Please send someone from corporate to audit this DUMP!!! I took pictures. I'm telling/showing anyone that will listen just how awful this property is. Waste of money!!

My "24 hr access" wasn't available, I swiped my card over and over again and finally somehow the gate opened! Then I get to my unit a little after 4àm. Everything I own from my little apartment is in my pick up. I'm ready to unload and then get on the road Heading for Mississippi for work! But unfortunately there was a lock on my unit. So much for trying not to pay the month to month rate at my complex, I start brain storming about what to do cause I really don't have the money.. so I head to the gate to get ready to possibly roll the eviction timing dice.. Now I'm at the gate, made sure my load didn't shift so I can safely navigate my way home.. Can't get out... I will spare u the details, but literally had a melt down, I felt trapped, I felt duped, most of which is totally on me and typically I'm stronger than that but I'm literally at one of the lowest points of my life. Again nothing that's y'all's fault but damnit this one in a million experience just plain hurt more than it has upset me. In closing Im a returning customer for a reason. And I know this isn't the norm, and I know y'all do right and make right. Out of respect I chose to type, I was uncertain if I called if I would be upset and speak harshly or have an unpleasant tone or if I would just busy out crying lol.
