Very good services from start to finish at the new Romeoville location. Everything was clean with the rental truck . Would definitely recommend this service.

Nathaniel A.Both Managers on the day I picked up the rental and the day I dropped off the rental were fantastic but unfortunately the truck itself was a nightmare. It happen to rain on the first day of the move and since it started raining while we were in transit we didnt see that The roof had a leak from the front to the back and all of our things were soaked from clothes to furniture to electronics to pictures ect. And after we finally unloaded everything there was so much standing water in the truck that if you froze it you could have skated on it.

Betty M.The manager Jessica stole my rental van (yes literally stole) from my house after I extended the rental then lied to the cops in the process when they seen her trying to take it. The van also had thousands of dollars worth of cooking equipment in the trunk. When I stepped outside to return the van I noticed it was missing. I then called up to the Romeoville location where I rented from and asked if they took the van and she said no. It wasn't until I got up there and said that I spoke to the cops and they said the van was there, is when she finally admitted to having it. Very shady stuff going on at that location

He promptly found me another van and all went well with the rental after that. Both of the young men with whom I interacted on Friday morning, June 9 and Saturday morning, June 10, were polite, smart, informed, well dressed and very "customer care focused". - well done U-Haul. I wish I knew their names so you could properly thank them on my behalf.

I noticed if you don't do the return yourself online it's a fee. I'm speaking for those senior's that the world has forgotten. I'm good....I was very happy with my first experience with U-Haul. I don't remember the young man at the desk, but he was a 10+, very polite.very good customer service skills

I would suggest advising customers that they can not gain entry to this location going south on Weber rd. You must enter on the right side going North on Weber just past Renwick rd.

All in all, I didn't feel comfortable without getting a receipt so I headed to this location and service was prompt and friendly, a much better experience!

Unfortunately I came to find out that Uhaul will not prorate you storage space but they will charge another month of rent no exceptions. When speaking with the manager her response was it was company policy there was nothing she could do. I paid the additional month's rent but This caused uhaul to lose my business when needing to rent a long term storage space after moving into my new home.
Marc R. | Expérience généraleUnits do not have alarms which is why I moved out. I paid for an armed unit and got ripped off for 3 months. The door sensor is installed but not wired up to anything. I told the store manager this when I first noticed it and nothing was done. She told me the units don't have to be individually alarmed because they have cameras. No need to ever use the key card to go in or out of the facility because one, the cards don't arm or unarm anything because the sensor is not hooked up, and two, the front gate is always open. I also told my concern about the front gate to the store manager and nothing was done about this either. I rented a truck for 7 am and no one showed up to open the store until almost 7:30. Then, the truck had ABSOLUTLY NO gas in it. I had to put gas in it before I could even drive it anywhere. I opened a ticket with customer service 2 months ago about these issues and nothing was done so I moved out. I wont be using U-Haul anymore.

I have 2 storage to this facility but I decided to transfer after a month of poor service. Their office always lock even in business hours. You need to call and wait for 10min before the manager opens the door. The guy who cleans the storage is so rude yelling at the customer. He also cover up the manager every time you wait for the door to open. The store also opens late. It's good thing that's there 4 more storage place around the area so we can easily escape to this poor managed storage I'm also putting up a review on yelp to save customer from this storage.

Also I was told when we first rented that there was rodent control in this facility and that was untrue. 90 % percent of my things were destroyed by water and or rodents inside the unit. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy

The huge employee told me they would not be able to remove the lock for me and I would need to call a locksmith. I already rented a U-Haul truck and was committed to a 100 mile drive and had to wait 4 hours for a locksmith in 100 degree temps to get me into my storage facility because the man at the office refused to help me and said they no longer remove locks. Turned out to be a miserable 100 degree day. I would never rent from U-Haul again after this. I'm sure he was just not wanting to go out in the heat because of his enormous size.
Eugene B. | Expérience généraleWasted over 1 hour trying to access & locate the actual storage unit. When asked for assistance the guy working the desk became upset with me when I asked him for help. The customer service is extremely poor at this location & it gets worse when you ask for help. They act like it's a huge burden for them to actually get off their chair to come & help. Instead they get angry with you & you get an attitude instead of help. I'm specifically referring to the young fellow who was working at the desk. It seemed like he was new cause the lady it seemed was training him when we arrived but she wasn't there at the time I asked for help. I don't appreciate getting yelled at for asking for help especially as I'm a paying customer & by the way I don't have a photographic memory. You know the process since you work there & I'm a new customer there & so this was totally unprofessional the way your staff member guy treated us. I'm being kind by rating you 2 stars because I really want to rate you 0 stars. I hope this can be a learning experience for the young fellow who was reluctant to help & showed a lack of customer service skills.

Pretty much every time we came to our unit, we'd have to go into the office as our gate entry code would stop working. Even if we visited multiple times per weekend, it didn't seem to matter. The staff did their best to help but this was very frustrating. The last few truck rentals we had were also a challenge. We arrived for our reservation but the office was empty and no one was answering the phone. We waited 30 minutes before someone was finally able to assist us. We cleaned out our storage unit on 2/2, but I was still sent a bill with a late fee on 2/22. We had informed the office three separate times that our unit had been cleared, well before the next payment was due. I had to spend another half hour on the phone with customer service trying to resolve the situation. Overall, we appreciated the staff and their efforts but will probably not use this location again.

I couldn't get in or out of my storage because their system was always down so I couldn't use my code to get in and of the gate. No one was never there to help the customers. They left me a vague voicemail about my unit (during a day with high winds) which made me believe my unit got damaged, my husband and i spent all our time calling them while at work, and on the drive to the unit. I also signed up for automatic payments, and they didn't processes that in my account, so they changed my gate access code and wouldn't let me in. i would NEVER recommend this uhaul.

Anything fabric has a mildew smell and I had to remove mold from several pieces of furniture. I would hate to have lost everything if I had to keep it in there longer. Not sure this is normal or not for storage. But it did add extra hassle, work, time and money onto our move that I wasn't expecting. Were still washing laundry and cloths that smell of mildew from the storage unit....a week later. Staff was amazing from start to finish.
