I ordered over phone with National phone people. Quoted one thing, trailer was not the same when I went to pick up. First trailer they hooked me up to was wrong, and had a light out. So much for a time crunch, took for ever.

It's not about the local shops. Major improvements needed at the reservation center. They don't seem to know what inventory the local shops have or when they are open.

It would be better if the sliding door was active until lock down at 10:00. I couldn't get in earlier and had to unload my units through the pass door when the slider auto locked at 7:00. Having been in the door industry for 30 years you can have them locked from outside and active from inside giving access to anyone with a card and auto lock after passing thru with a cart to the dock. Then with a card could enter thru the pass door open the slider and get the cart in and the slider would close. Instead of people blocking the pass door open all the time they are unloading. Simple adjustment to make everything more secure and more convenient for your customers. Thankyou for your consideration.

Clarify that when "clean" is promised; it doesn't mean the cab is wiped down. My pick-up truck was quite dirty inside, but no trash was present.

The location is clean. The truck I rented was older and not great. The wait was horribly long. But the STAFF was tremendous. THE POSITIVE: The staff there are amazing. I went in yesterday first thing in the morning on 8/31 and there was only 1 woman working, and the line was already 5 deep. And after I was there for 20 minutes there were 7 deep in back of me. And that woman at the desk (I didn't get her name) was incredible. She was CALM by tone and demeanor and kept on task. She was apologetic to the people waiting. And she gave instructions so some people could check out on their own. My suggestions: 1. Give her a huge raise. You need to keep employees like that. She took a stressful and horrible situation and made it tolerable. 2. You need MORE STAFF. You can't have 1 person working on a morning before the end of a month, with school move ins happening. That was a mistake. And even then, you need more people there checking people in, cashing people out, checking returns in. To leave this one 1 person (eventually a 2nd women came, and she was good as well) is a failure of management and failure to plan ahead. So impressed with the staff making due in an extremely difficult and stressful situation. I would recommend this location to a friend based on the STAFF, not the process.

Everyone at the location was extremely friendly but it's hard not to notice how busy they were and how understaffed they seemed at the same time. Only one register available for a line of four or more people checking in. The phone ringing constantly. When I finally received my rental it was missing the rental equipment that I had already paid for. This is not an indictment on the abilities of the staff whatsoever, because the help I received was excellent. I just felt bad given how understaffed they seemed and how busy they were. I do hope they get some more help in the future. Lastly, I had to check in my rental after hours. I could not connect to the WiFi from the UHaul location, even after moving all throughout the lot to try and find a spot. Similarly, I had no cellular connection in what appears to be a dead area for a major cell carrier. This is not the fault of UHaul but I'd recommend improving the WiFi capabilities as it allows the after hours check in to be completed more smoothly.

Took quite a while to get the U-Haul yesterday because the computer system or wifi not sure which wasn't working properly. I was there an hour but I also got a storage unit. The manager who was on had short ish straight hair and glasses and was wonderful. Not only did she fix everything and make it right she was just so friendly and pleasant, if I could remember her name I would thank her.

Customer service. She was nice but even after I did everything online, I still waited 40 minutes. And, what is the reason for a second phone number and verifier? Trucks being stolen is not going to stop because you need a name and phone of another person. The 4 people ahead of me each had a problem with this and questioned motive. Get rid of it as it does nothing to prevent loss.

I stood in line for a long time while there was no clerk. One came, but she didn't know how to do a rental. Another came, I'm guessing the manager, but he didn't help the people in line, because he had to teach the other person how to do a rental. I know that's necessary but seems like doing it when there's no line would be a better idea! The male clerk, again maybe the manager, was pleasant and helpful and knew how to complete my rental but I had done everything online and entered my information several times, and yet he was asking for that same information again. Finally got the van, did my errand, and then returning and getting an actual receipt was again a process that took longer than I would have expected for such a simple task. You need more people working in that office who are trained to do the job! It took a ridiculously long time to get the van, longer than I had it out! Hire more competent people!

I was charged all these fees for something that I was t even told about and when trying to call the location where I got the truck of course no one answers so they a get some person and they were no help. I want to reimbursed for the drop off fee. Also I left my glasses in the Tru k and they are denying it. So they stole from me. Crap. That's what I have to say. Make this right please!!!

First, my reservation was canceled. I asked why the woman said she didn't know so she got a guy and he said he didn't know either but it was canceled by his General manager. So we had to get a huge one instead. Also there was no dolly. There was another unhappy customer and the lady who waited on her was ridiculously rude and the guy that was waiting on me kept rolling his eyes every time the customer spoke. It was the worst experience I've ever had and will not ever go back or tell any of my friends to use U-Haul. I was referred there myself and the person that referred me is out of their mind if they think this is all ok.

I was over the moon that the truck came with a full tank of gas. Bothers me to no end when truck comes with 9 / 68ths gas tank and you literally need to fill the gas tank enough to do the job but not too much to where you're adding gas. Than you need to fill it again before returning when it's 7 / 68ths. It's annoying and I would go so far as to say it's unprofessional and predatory. As I said thankfully I didn't deal with that this time. As a good monet saver, it crossed my mind to not fill up because after use, truck still was on f. But I did the right thing and filled it up as it was filled up for me. I felt like I was done a great favor that it was topped off for me before I got it as I only had to put 3 dollars in it. All around great business experience. Rockstar employees inside and out. Cleanliness of truck and truck bed were exceptional. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Drop off sucked. It was a royal pain in the ass. I used to just drop keys in the slot and leave.. Now I have to do a 10 point inspection of the truck, take pics, sign in, download the app.... IT just sucked. I wouldn't do it again

Rude,dismissive,got wrong storage unit and employee couldn't be bothered to help or respond until they opened. Wouldn't show us where truck was but walked the people behind us to theirs. Gave us a key with inclear numbers and letter so couldn't find it and asked employee and she was put out that we asked her.prices for truck jumped at store it should have reflected online

Only three issues. One employee was rude when the access door was frozen and I couldn't get it open. Two was the pavement in front was not always cleared of ice and snow for easy access. Three, the automatic sliding door didn't always work even when it was on. Other than that the inside was clean and everything else was easy.

After a long 11 hr drive reaching the Uhaul Saco facility was a sight for sore eyes. Plenty of room to maneuver the truck. Easy access to storage units that have unloading zones. Tons of dolly carts available and the Staff was exceptional. TY

My unit was infested with mice and as a result I had to throw away furniture, clothing and bedding. When I cleaned out the unit, and had mouse infested trash, I was told there was no trash receptacle. I had to drive to Portland and unload what was salvageable and come back with trash bags to remove what was damaged. This facility is well run, clean, and very organized. Love the fact that there was always a new dolly ample to fit a good amount of furniture and boxes. Best move for me was using this facility instead of a Pod.

The manager could not be any more helpful friendly and accommodating- it was truly a very good experience- she actually returned our phone calls at odd hours and did everything possible to meet our needs. The Saco, Maine location is really an excellent facility! The place is extremely secure, clean and pleasing to the eye and plenty of space to maneuver your vehicle

I was called on July 4th and left a message that my storage unit was "empty with no lock" and left instructions to call back if I was not moving out that day. I called back, and proceeded to call back everyday following. I was never put in touch with the Saco location and the national distribution center couldn't reach them either. I was not able to confirm that my property was in fact NOT missing until I could go to the storage unit myself on July 9th. At checkout when I brought this up the staff member rolled her eyes and moved on - this issue is not resolved in my mind and spoiled the whole experience.
